I have twice visited the Baraquda Hotel for my vacation and find I can easily recommend this hotel. The rooms are very comfortable, well appointed and clean. The staff are friendly and helpful - I have particular praise for Pete who was always delightful to meet. Whilst this review may appear very positive there were a couple of aspects which I did not find positive. The open air walkway to the room I found slightly off-putting but this says more about my fear of heights than any building design flaw. I found the wardrobe and other storage capacity adequate for myself as a single traveller but should warn people that I suspect it may not be entirely adequate for a couple but I have no objective evidence to support this view. All in all I think this hotel deserves a full five star rating. Please note I am not a hotel inspector so I tend not to see a scratched surface, or inadequately cleaned window or water spots on a washbasin. I suspect but cannot guarantee that these things are not to be found at the Baraquda Hotel. I hope anyone who chooses this hotel and found this review helpful beforehand has as wonderful a time as I have enjoyed.

First of all, the staff is great, but the hotel itself is definitely NOT a 5-star property as advertised on the ALL Accor app. Our room had a distinct "old" and mildewed smell, and the entire hotel is past its prime. Additionally, there was once a lounge on the second floor, but today it is just a sad, closed spot next to the elevator. Another issue that I found questionable for a 5-star hotel was the 'syrup'-style coffee they serve at breakfast, which tasted like instant coffee. This is something you would usually find at most Ibis or Ibis Style properties. Overall, the hotel fell far short of our expectations and did not live up to the advertised brand standards.

Location is prime, right in the middle of Pattaya. Also, the bed was extremely comfortable. Unfortunately, the hotel is very run down, seems ownership just forgot about this building. The lobby floors were warped and missing some panels out by the pool area. Finishes looked old and areas of the hotel such as a bar on 3rd floor are closed and abandoned. Restaurant by pool was just sad, I never saw anyone in there and the menu looked bad, but I didn’t try the food. Worst part is room had an awful mildew smell. The saving grace was the amazing service oriented attitude and politeness of the staff. Everyone was wonderful. If the building had a remake, it would be a stellar property, but now it’s just sub par.

We arrived yesterday and have to say I’m quite disappointed for a 5-star hotel. Airconditioning is cooling all the time and can not set temperature. Have to turn it on and off all the time not to freeze. No extra glass in the bathroom for toothbrush. No shower products. No chair on balcony. The pool terrace wood is broken and not seem they will fix it soon. No matras on the pool beds…. Hope they will do something to get this hotel back to the standards I’m used to have with Accor group hotels.

Did not look and feel like a 5-star hotel, 4-star at most but even then it's just barely holding on. The entire hotel was always quite dim as if they were saving electricity. Some of the services they provide which was listed online were not available. Some of the floor panels are loose, you'll feel it as you walk to your room. The staff are all very welcoming and the price for the room is decent. However I don't think I'll recommend this hotel to a friend.

This hotel is in an excellent location, close to the beach and an easy walk to all the entertainment zones. It is close to a lot of good restaurants and bars. It has parking. It's a bit dated and could use a facelift, but it is clean and comfortable. The hotel staff is amiable and helpful. I enjoyed my stay here and would go back to this hotel again.

Cant beat the location. Pleasant pool. Room was a bit damp smelling. Staff was always welcoming. Gym was good. Deluxe room has balcony. I wouldnt pay top dollar for it, but I would say its a fine 4 star hotel.

Today is my Birthday so I decided to check in to this Hotel for a short break away together with my Love. Absolutely fantastic. A great welcome from the staff. A wonderful beautiful Room - the Aqua Room with the Jacuzzi. Tomorrow I will see how the breakfast is. But I expect just the best. I can highly recommend this Hotel!

I personally don't care, but the suite could be tightened up. Everything is working, the place is clean, and the staff is amazing. So if you are not looking for a 3 star Michelin kind of place it is the place to be.

The definition of a 5 star hotel includes "Properties at this level will display excellent design quality and attention to detail". Not sure how this hotel achieves this. As we stayed in an actual 5-star hotel in a different part of Thailand prior to coming here, the difference is stark. The food is half the quality and diversity (they use instant coffee at breakfast 💀). They claim they have a spa but the building for this amenity seems abandoned and nobody was inside. The pool is dirty :') not as a dirty as the ocean front in Pattaya but you get the drill. The wifi is definitely inadequate for the price you're paying per room. I had to work remotely during my stay and needed to use data with a hotspot. If you wanna scroll on Instagram ig it's fine. But if you're paying for a Suite it feels a bit like a joke. We used their laundry washing services and our clothes came back bleached and shrunk. One piece of underwear had mysterious spots on it. It's hard to understand how they could get this wrong. Every hotel we trusted our clothes with in Thailand took expert care of them. It's not rocket science. 🥲 Finally, the part everyone cares the most about- the rooms themselves. They're nice, practical, accessible and quiet, but not luxurious. If all you care about is a place to crash then you won't care. Their beds are comfortable and their sheets are pristine (albeit, again, with mysterious stains here and there). If you book on a higher floor (floor 4 and up) you will also enjoy a nice view. We primarily stayed in the room and made use of the somewhat newer-technology TVs for steaming, the jaccuzi for relaxing and the desk for working. The desk was a nice touch, as was the "kitchen" island at the entrance. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone looking to book a 5-star stay. Which begs the question of who should be booking it, since folk who are backpacking and looking for a place to crash have better, cheaper options. That being said... taking into account what many people come to Pattaya for, this hotel will continue to thrive off of a very specific demographic.

Currently im in Baraquda, my humble suggetion will be you could've provided a mini table in rooms or in balcony. Cloth dryer stands are not provided in rooms balcony Front office and house keeping things are excellent.

A boutique hotel conveniently situated amoungst an array of shops and street stalls, not to far to walk to the beach front or hop on one of the many blue pick up truck/bus for 10bht. A little tired coming in from the UK the bed was the best I'd slept in for such a long time so much so we had to come back for one more night after a quick trip to Koh Larn (coral island) What more could one want... Friendly & helpful staff, Buffet breakfast served until 11pm was pretty decent, Exceptional rates for a 4star, tho the hotel is in need of an uplift however its more than decent enough for the price. We would most definitely come back and stay again, for sure, Especially as they serve some cracking English grub at the Robin Hood tavern right next door but thts another review in its self. The manager did mention an uplift is coming soon.

I would rate 4 points. I think the hotel should classify as 3-star or 4-star hotel instead. The hotel entrance is dark. I can’t see any hotel name/sign from the road. The building is pretty old and the keycard doesn’t work with the elevator at first. The room is humid and smelly (reallyyyyy). This is a huge part why I deducted the rating point. However, staff is nice and supportive, best thing of this hotel, so I give 4 points just because of them. I am an Accor member but the hotel still needs improvement in many parts.

Staff is excellent always courteous and helpful. . Rooms are nice but a little dated. Door let light shine in from outside. All in all a very good experience.

As a Solo Traveller (who loves thai women), I stayed 10 Nights in a Baraquda Suite, and had a Wonderful Stay! The Staff and Location, could NOT have been any Better, and plan to Return in a Month! Although it might NOT be a TRUE 5 Star (like a Hotel InterContinental), for what you Pay it is Very Nice! Thanks Again to the whole staff at the Baraquda Hotel, you All deserve a RAISE!

The hotel is a bit old and run down now, you can see the brown rust running down from the main sign outside. The pool chairs are so old they are quite uncomfortable as the net sinks into the supporting metal bars below it now. The rooms are nice, funny design but still very nice. Rooms lack silverware though, so make sure to ask for plastic spoons etc if you order food via Grab. The fridge doesn't really cool well either. DO NOT use their laundry service. A 200 baht load across the street will cost you around 1800 baht in the hotel. Location is amazing, staff is friendly and helpful!

I came here on the 7th due to Covid Quarantines, the staff member Nana was very rude to me and kept trying to approach me near my room not in line with the lockdown procedures. When i told her i was going report her she messaged me on my departure date of the 15th, to my private number and email which she must have got from her system to say rude things to me.
