Located a little bit far from the city center, approximately 1 hour ride from Kuta/Legian area. But don't hesitate to go here, it's really worth the effort. There's no entrance fee, just pay 5k for motorcycle parking. You need to walk around 5-10 minutes down to the beach. The path itself is a stair, so i think it can't be accessed by people with wheelchair. The journey will paid off when you see a sandy beach with stone canyon around it. The stone canyon configuration is very beautiful. The main shore is quite wide, basically it's a small bay, with 100m length. The waves are quite big, big enough for surfing. You should go to the left side of the beach as well. Maybe you need to do a little crawl, but trust me, the view from there is the best. Very recommended, but be careful of the slippery rocks, and big waves. Overall, it's one of the best beach in Bali.

One of my most favorite beach in Bali. The one and only, unique beach with a lot of cliffs and huge rocks that make the view exceptionally beautiful. The tide is always high, great place to watch surfers doing their surf with huge tide. Wow. There’s also a restaurant at the top of the cliff with great view, nice staff and affordable food. Like around Rp.50.000/portion

It is a very popular beach. We thought is was going to be less crowded but it’s far from it. It is also here that the big waves are, so all the surfer comes here. You will pay 5000$ for parking fee, but there is no other entrance fee. It gets you to a lot of bars, shops and restaurant with a good sea view with the surfers from high up. The stairs down leads you to plenty of restaurants and it’s very easy stairs. The end of the stairs is ending up in a cave, under the rocks. If you want to go the beach, you will have to pass under a rock hole and during low tide. Note that it could be very dangerous during high tide to pass in this hole, because water is very high and big waves crashed against the rock behind. Also current is very strong on the beach so it’s not a place you can really swim or be in the water.

Came to this beach for sunset and it was one of my best decision ever. Not too crowded, mostly visitors are surfer, there’re many lagoon that you can use to bathing. This beach area’s so wide so you can explore from side to side. Worth it.

New place for me. It's a different view and angle beach. Love the scenery sea with clief, we were exactly under it. But the issues, it's a deep step down stairs which for elders that have problem with mobility ability will be hard to get down and also there's no public shower around the beach, they have it somewhere a bit up around the shop or restaurants. The sea water was super clear and has variaty of color. Love it for pics and relax.

So full with people 😂😂. Even at the parking area. First, I recommend you just park your motorbike at the place as shown on the maps, DONT follow the sign written on the road, since you need to walk further to the beach and need to pay IDR 5K. As the parking area shown on the maps is free and closer to reach the beach. Actually it’s okay to pay the 5K, it’s not that expensive, but I wish it’ll at least closer to the beach, but it’s not (almost 2x further). Because you need to walk passing some restaurant first. The beach it self is beautiful, but limited spaces to sunbath. The water is clear and nice to just playing and swim on the edge of the beach. And if you love surfing and not a beginner, you’ll definitely will love this place. The waves ate beautiful! The internet signal on the beach was down, so better to have some offline music with you if you want to listen to some music while enjoying the beach. And no food vendor at the beach, bring your own so you dont need to go up just to buy some food/drinks. And dont forget to bring back your waste. MAKE SURE YOU KEEP YOUR BELONGING safe, as there are monkey arounds. We witnessed some monkey taking 2 PHONES from a bag of visitors who just put their bag unattended.

Best beach in Bali. If you come when the tide is receding, you can access the secret beach located left to the main beach. There are some lady who sell beer and other drinks.

Beautiful place, amazing views. Perfect for surfers! It’s not the beach you go for sun bathing or swim.

First time come there at 2015 and that time the tide is low so i still can go through to the front beach. But this time the waves are high enough to covers the front beach. Maybe next time i can go there at almost sunset time when the tide is low to enjoy the front beach.

Beautiful beach. Well worth the effort of getting there. It's 10-15 minutes down some pretty steep steps/paths going past small shops and restaurants...mostly surfing-oriented. There are two parts to the beach and some paths through the cliffs.

Best sunset spot in my opinion on the southern Bali area. Getting here can be a bit of a hassle.with the crowd and rows of beach bars you will have to weather through, but worth the time and effort.

Walk down 130 steps to this secluded beach to watch the sunset at Uluwatu without the surfers crowding your view. Can't really swim here as there are jaggered rocks. Worth wading into the waters and then lazing on the sand at this hidden spot or walk back up those steps and sip on a cold beer from the numerous restaurants with front row seats to watch the sun go down.

Amazing views and I saw a plethora of surfers. Best place to view the sunset and has local shops and good restaurants. Take a beer and enjoy the ocean. Easily accessible by the bike and you have pay ~3000 for parking to enter the beach.

Super nice beach, clean, and beautiful. You have to walk down about 20 minutes to reach the sea. Not recommend to come at noon.. Maybe i should come at 4 or 5 PM so I can walk through the cave and the sand.. There’s a local food, I ordered a whole coconut for 50k rupiah. Its holiday, so its okay.

Great swim spot for all ages during the low tide in the pools. High tide not so much when the water comes gushing into the cave. This is a great spot for photos but gets very busy these days. There never used to be railings on the stairs or people selling beach mats and drinks below but it’s still a good spot where you can chill with the occasional monkey, snorkel or get a sandy massage from an old lady. Take care on the stairs. Plenty of eats to suit everyone from warungs to fancy bars on the cliff top where you can enjoy the sunset or watch surfers take their time struggling to cross the reef bare feet. 8/10 end up with coral in their toes. Take my tip and pack a pair of socks in your boardies it’ll soften the blow!

Amazing beach with the cave and perfect for swimming or surfing. The water is clear and it looks amazing. You have to go down some stairs but it's not difficult so just go. It is a place for surfers but you can also just relax at the beach or swim in the ocean. There are some great waves, too. But it is a very busy beach. Next to the surfers there are many people around, all taking pictures. Because this beach is in a cave it can get a bit crowdy but i think a visit is absolutely worth it! 🥰 Loved the view and all the small restaurant upstairs. The water is just amazing and it's nice to chill there for a while.

Beautiful blue beach hidden between the cliffs If you like to surf, this is one of the best spot jn Bali. For tourist who'd like to just chill, dont come here during sunset as the tide can get high nearing sunsets. the waves is relatively big, not very safe for children.

You can find local bar also in here ( go down stairs ) they don't have many menu choises but the view is amazing. The best time to arrive here is around 4 pm ( find parking slot, choose the bar, and enjoy the view ). They have public toilet down stairs

Spectacularly breathtaking beach. A bit of a trek with steep steps and a lot of them but worth it. Be careful on the steps because the sand can make them slick in shoes especially closer towards the bottom. We visited at around 9am which is high tide. I read if you visit during low tide there’s more to see but it was still beautiful. There also weren’t many people, it was easy to take turns to get photos. Loved watching the surfers come and go as this is a popular spot for that. It’s not a lounge beach until maybe low tide.

The beach and the view are magical❤ one of the best view in Uluwatu that you should put on your list. I came before sunset and waiting until sunset time and it's worth to wait.

this beach only good for taking pics. there is even some professional photographers that can take your pics and print it right away. you can’t surf or swim here. with a small area there was many people in it. the cave is really cool. no entrance fee, only parking 5000 for a bike.

Lovely sand, surf looked great, not your standard beach, you get to explore. You can’t see everything all at once, you have to wove through the cave system. The warung is no longer up top on the cliff as mentioned in previous reviews. (Yet there is still a local charging money to enter… ) The beach cost 5,000 to enter. They say it’s for parking. Hmmm, they said “for parking” to us, however the couple that went through after us didn’t have a scooter and they still charged then 5,000. Other than that.. yeah there are a few stairs, however nothing to get excited about. What I would say though… don’t stop at the first beach you see, lol for how to go right… then come back, Dave the best for last, go left through the caves. That beach is so worth it. See pics.

Beautiful view to watch the surfers. Lots of restaurants around, altho the beach was too crowded. The water was a bit cold😆

This is an amazing beach but you need to take quite a number of stairs to get down there. The stairs are uneven and often without railings. When you get to the beach you reach a cave. That’s the magical part. The beach itself is small. It’s a great surf location, so many surfers come here. Vendors sell drinks and sarongs on the beach.

Beautiful 'hidden' beach with superb view of the sunset. Path heading to the hidden beach is kind of difficult, but definitely worth it. Waves can get really strong nearing sunset time, so be careful while swimming!

The stairs.. woof, you need effort to go down but it was worth it. The coral reef quite sharpy, wear water shoes if you want to swim. The water is clear and the white sand is just beautiful.

The beach is clean, beautiful view, the wave so highly, you can many people surfing in the place and view the other side to shoot sunset. If you want to getting the beach, you will see a best view for best sunset moments. The cliff in blue point suluban is beautiful.

Small but beautiful...path is the same as to the other beaches, but the view is astonishing...limited choices of refreshments and snacks...

Suluban Beach is one of Bali's most unique coasts, concealed by natural limestone formations and accessed via steps and log ramps through narrow gaps in the rock. Suluban is generally known as Blue Point.

You have to go downstairs which has maybe 100 stairs. This beach has many sharp stone when you walk to the water. There are so many people surf here. When I visited this place there was a couple took their pre-wedding here, too 🤣

  • 4/5 Rise&Shine 1 year ago on Google
We requested the driver to bring us to Uluwatu beach. According to the road sign, it says ‘Uluwatu beach’ but according to Google maps, we were at Suluban beach. There are hundreds of steps to get to the small beach. Many centipedes along the way. Not worth the effort as the beach was crowded. Go through the winding steps and there are many warungs. Due to the great views, most of them charge IDR50k for a small Bintang. This path also leads to Single Fin.

Have to Visit in Bali!! Highly recommend the beach. You have to climb some stairs but not as much as greenbowl beach. It's really pretty for sunset, but also dangerous. Be careful when going down.

The place is beautiful. Went in thru parking on top of the beach, have to pay Rp5000 per person to the local vendor. The sand is white, a lot of wave as there are a lot of surfers here. Nice rocks for selfie and photos. Toilet available for Rp 5000 and bath Rp10000. Going to the beach have to go thru 100 ish stairs.
