First in the gym at 5am and this is the dumbbell rack. Cleanliness has plummeted to say the least and good luck finding the weights you need with dumbbell rack being so unsatisfactory. Hoping management will do something about this and become more considerate for their members

Great gym but La fitness is extremely shady when it comes to cancelling memberships. They'll take your money in two seconds but if you want to cancel, you have to speak with someone who's harder to get in contact with than Jesus Christ himself. Had to call my bank to cancel. Shady shady shady...

Great and amazing place to workout! Staff is super friendly and helpful! Nice area to work out in! Never crowded and new remodeling is great, new equipment and everyone in the gym is friendly as well! This gym is so organized thanks to Jose. He is such an amazing person and always willing to help in any situation

The most horrifying customer service experience at the front desk. The front desk guy was rude to me the second I pulled out the 3 day free pass to try out the gym. Before checking the system he instantly accused me of being there before and said I was in the system. He continued to try and scold me for my “attitude” because I was texting on my phone and he tried to not allow me in becuase of this. His associate was backing me up but they ultimately allowed me in because I wasn’t in the system and you can’t deny someone access for no reason. My dad has a membership here and they were treating me like I was trying to just a free pass and wanted me to be more engaging. You can’t force people to act in a certain way. Clearly these men don’t own the gym but they definitely want to act like it. I would have gotten a membership here but I’ll be taking my business elsewhere. One of the men was in his late forties or fifties, balding, blue eyes, and glasses. The other guy had his own desk he looked Spanish, tall, brown hair and eyes. I honestly think they were just picking me on me for no good reason and they didn’t give me a 3 day pass they only gave me a one day because they didn’t like me. Attached is a picture of the one of the me who harassed me. I’m going to have my dad cancel his membership and we are going to a smaller gym with better customer service.

You have a great gym but the group classes have not changed for the last 10 years .You need to step it up a bit and I am sure you will have new gym members. The same instructors at the same time slots, with the same music, same exact routine are doing nothing to bring new members......boring!

The front desk service are disrespectful. They do not know how to talk to customers. They treat people poorly. One front desk person I remember, his name was John, he was screaming and telling people to shut up. Terrible employee and he puts a bad image to LA Fitness. The gym equipment is even worst. The gym is great despite what the negative reviews say. I wished all amenities (such as the steam room) were functioning at 100% but nothing is ever perfect. Great equipment in the free weights and machines area, awesome cardio equipment upstairs. The cleanup and maintenance crew are doing an awesome job cleaning up the whole gym and locker room area. Sadly there are some members that can’t cleanup after themselves or find it easier to leave tissues & water bottles on the floor. Management should be on the lookout for these nasty people.

The first thing I noticed when I came to this gym, was how clean and new everything was. I’ve been to other LA Fitness locations, this was by far my best experience. My favorite part was working out with brand new and clean equipment under some fresh AC. Finally, the showers, bathrooms, and locker room in general is very well kept and the design is modern. I felt comfortable walking barefoot since the floor was so clean (in the locker room) unlike other gyms. Highly Recommend

The worst and most messy of gyms, the dumbbell area is too messy, you never find a pair! I have come on different occasions and schedules and this does not change! lousy administration.

Nasty gym. As soon as you come in there’s a terrible smell, like a combination of sweat and not cleaning for a couple of days. Employee from drink/food store was not on sight, “went to the restroom” on a note, waited 10 minutes and the gentleman in front had to leave cause nobody would take care of the situation, waited 10 more and had to leave, bad. Employees didn’t even care, no managers available or interested in helping. First impression was the worst, will definitely be the last visit. Hope the employee “using the restroom” is ok.

The gym has been remodeled. Lots of great stuff at LA Fitness. Nothing’s perfect, but we have a lot of choices where to work out, and the Pines West location is terrific!

After a few dormant years from going to an LA i got a call from Zack saying the gym was better than ever and it was a good time to check out the gym again! When I walked in to my surprise it was immaculate! From all the weights actually being in order, the floors are clean and the staff was extremely kind! Thank you Zack for the opportunity and I will definitely be coming back

Been going here for 10 years. I’d give it 5 stars if it wasn’t so poorly maintained. Equipment will be out of service for weeks, weights and dumbbells are left all around the gym and always unorganized, and for the past few weeks 80% of cable towers are missing clips so you can’t use the attachments. If they can tackle these issues it would be a great place to workout.

one of the workers (don’t know his name) he is a older white guy, short. he is the literally the most useless and laziest worker ever. La should definitely consider looking into him bc i was trying to cancel my membership from another la and he said he couldn’t do it and when i called that same la and a different one they said they don’t know why he would say that and to come back tomorrow. He needs to be retrained of fired!!!

The coaches are very motivating. They bring out my competitive side, which makes me push myself even harder.

After the horrible customer service I obtained today, I will be canceling my membership promptly. I checked in with my peer and offered him my vip guest pass which was declined. The rude Manager told me they don't honor that, and tried to swindle me into getting a refund and get some new program so he could join me. You're staff are conartisits and make your clients uncomfortable. Don't abuse the few customers you have left, because you are struggling to keep the door open. If you offer a guest pass honor it or refund me for your failure to inform me of your updated policies. How dare you belittle your meal ticket.

Poor communication. Made no attempt to sit my friend and I down for a simple conversation. Instead Chris the sales consultant from Flamingo LA Fitness tried to pull a 'fast one' on us. He made us feel embarrassed and small. Terrible customer service. I hope corporate does something about this. I don't know what business they are running over there.

To get your membership cancelled is a task, the trainer doesn’t care about you unless you’re a woman. The trainers here are more Focused on the women, it seems like the trainers have not been laid in a while. I regret joining this place and I hope this place is shut down soon.

I have come to this gym several times with my wife and I had not had a problem. Until today, Saturday, August 3, 2023, the person in the lobby treated us discriminately, he did not want to allow me to enter because he forced me to pay for a day pass my wife counting on a guest pass, when speaking with him he allowed us El Paso for today only if the next visit we made a new membership, he gives us access to the gym by sitting on one of the machines he ran How far was I and he took me out of the gym because I couldn't be there... it seems disrespectful to me and I felt bad for his behavior and attitude... I wouldn't go again until they really put trained and respectful staff who don't discriminate... 😡😡

I've had a great experience at this location. The staff is very professional and have answered any questions I've had so far. They keep the workout areas clean and neat. I rarely have to look too far for any weights/bars, etc. The basketball court is big and clean as well as the pool area and locker room area.

Lost my ID at the gym and it was found by Santiago. Santiago ensured me that the ID was in a secure location and will be ready for me to pick up. When I finally had the opportunity to stop by and pick up my ID, Santiago was not there and a gentleman named John stepped in to more so intervene with the situation, rather than help it. Although he did somewhat attempt to look for the ID in Santiago’s absence, he cried and complained the entire time like a man child. I felt bad for him being that his life must be on the edge for him to get worked up over something so minuscule. Today, I went back again to make a second attempt to find the ID and approach a gentleman by the name of Mike. Mike wanted to be helpful, however, John came in and again to intercept the situation and refused to be helpful. It was the most awkward situation ever for something so simple. Mike even offered other solutions to attempt the find the ID but big nerdy John shut those down as well. I eventually was able to get in touch with Santiago and being that he is a stand up guy, he called me to come by and pick up the ID. The entire transaction with Santiago took less than 3 minutes. I finally got my ID and John is probably punching air knowing that Santiago actually made someone’s day. 5 stars for Santiago, 1 star for Mr. Big For Nothing.

One of the best LA Fitness I’ve been to by far. Very nice very clean. The staff is very active, very welcoming. Was welcomed by the manager Diana and was very helpful in guiding me to the right trainer to crush my goals this year. I highly recommend this gym location.

Amazing club! Always neat and the environment feels clean. Brings a lot of piece of mind especially during this pandemic time. The staff is exceptional! Manager Diana Ortega is always so helpful and willing to go above and beyond when ever I have had any questions or help. I’ve been coming to this location for a couple months now, the updated and variety of equipment makes it really convenient and easy to workout with no hassle. Weights are always racked and machines clean. Staff are always friendly and machines are never broken. Management has given my friends and I the best prices with no shady business which is a plus! Overall great gym and management. Recommend Diana to all the new gym goers!

Horrible customer service!! They caused me multiple problem checking in, especially bringing guests. I don't know if it's because of race , religion, or gender or that we aren't one of the mangers Santiago or John, buddies. Even some of the employees say that "manager John and Santiago does not treat anyone else this way". I see from other reviews I am not the only one they have done this to as I had multiple problem involving John. I am watching them let everyone that they know come in with no problem regarding their guest. Their reasons were rules but this location has on multiple occasions left the gym unoccupied after closing , leaving a handful of members and children inside free to do whatever they please or leave when it suits them. Is that not against the rules. And then manager Santiago had the audacity to threatened to cancel my membership due to him assuming i look like the type to break rules when no one at this location is bothering to follow them themselves.Honestly I am disappointed on how some people can treat others especially in a gym community if you are going to apply the rules make sure it's applied to everyone.

Loved the gym great service and management is very respectful and knowledgeable. I had my account on revoked status and the manager Diana Ortega did everything she could to make the process as easy and fast as possible really appreciate it she deserves Recognition for all she does thank you Diana if you see this.

This is a great place I saw someone seem to be like a heart attack I feel so comfortable knowing that i saw all management go to him and help him out , never left his side and made him feel safe ! 911 was called immediately and the paramedics came and everything was neat in the gym

You could not pay me to ever step foot in this gym ever again. I am so serious. I tried a guest pass and was immediately hounded by Gio to sign up. I immediately disclosed that I already have a gym membership elsewhere, and just came to work out with a friend. Still, I wanted to try out LA Fitness to see if I'd join or stick with my current gym. Cool, let him know I can't commit since obviously I'm in a contract with my current gym. He kept my ID and started hounding me again when I about to leave. He again started the sales pitch and magically had a special the next day...and the next day during my guest pass trial. I flat out said no. I cannot breach my contract or else I'd pay some unpleasant fees. "You know that don't you, you work at a gym don't you?..." I told him and stood silent. The audacity to then ask me how much it would be to cancel and join them right away...I cannot make this up. Again, stood my ground and said no. "Oh, they only charged me $100 last time to cancel years ago." Am I speaking hieroglyphics? No means NO. "Which gym do you like better?" Brutally told him my gym since we have dedicated training and lifting racks. There's barely one or two smith machines here. It was not it. Today I get a call and it's him again. Asked me AGAIN if I can join and I said didn't I say I can't for the millionth time. "Oh sorry my notes...did you say your contract ends soon?" I said not till next year and then tells me he'd give me a call then. Absolutely not. Blocked. Crossing my boundaries and repeatedly ignoring my stance is mad disrespectful and deceitful. If this is his or this employer's job method of trying to sign folks up, then I'm sorry but y'all truly persuaded me to never try la fitness again. I will glady stay at my current gym.

Great facility with some great equipment. The staff truly cares about helping the members. You don’t find that at the cheapo gyms. In regards to the weight area, the staff organizes it regularly. The members need to learn to put their weights back so the staff isn’t cleaning up after them!

The men at the front desk are rude and dismissive. One of the reps at the desk closest to the front desk literally told my friend she couldn’t get a 3 day guest pass for no reason at all. It seemed like he just didn’t feel like doing it. Also publicly tried to embarrass us by yelling out to the man at the front desk to not allow people to come up to him that don’t have guest privileges. There was also an issue with my account and he was so dismissive he’d rather just let us in to get us out of his face rather than offer to get my account updated. By far the worst customer service I’ve experienced at an LA Fitness. Unwelcoming and borderline discriminatory.

Santiago was a great staff member. Was able to accommodate my needs and the gym itself has most things you would need. It’s a great location and I highly recommend.

I like this gym a lot - but the free weights area is a mess all the time. No matter at what time of the day or which day of the week you come. It’s always a MESS The guy at the front desk (older guy - not the cleaning guy) is a bit mean at times, especially if you’re a woman. Overall good gym, just avoid the staff if you can. Don’t expect to find dumbbells easily either.

Many of the favorite machines (Stairmaster, elliptical) seem to be about 30% broken. Long wait times in order to use these machines.

Literally during a pandemic, they want you to come into there closed area to cancel. 24 hour fitness makes you set appojntments to work out and sanatizes every hour

I love the kids club. The ladies are very nice but there's a lady named Lili and she takes care of those kids like her own. I highly recommend it

Updated: Was relatively not crowded at 8pm but maybe bc it was raining all day...except for the dumbell area which was pretty crowded and jammed as well as the squat machines. Has a good variety of leg machines but only one of each of the good ones. Not enough ab machine variety. Lots of cardio. Lots of pulleys!! One unique thing about this location: they have a push-mower-like thingy with turf in the PT area! They have obviously renovated the place so I have changed my review since last time but what bugs me about this and other So Flo LAF's is that they have all these space wasting things and amenties that nobody uses while the space for machines and other weight training stuff is cramped and machines are few!! E.g the 4 raquetball courts go unused well as all those sales cubicles, the bikes on the first floor, and a lot of space on the 2nd floor. Add more machines and benches and weights instead of trying to be all fancy!!. Even the pool is a waste of space and the large locker rooms with saunas, if u ask me. Ive gotten picky since I got used to the best LAF in Crystal City, Arlington, VA.

Decent amount of equipment. A little too crowded at peak times. I guess I am just old because I grew up in the era with no cell phones. I can't get used to cell phones in the gym. There are far too many people here playing around on their cell phones in between sets and taking up time on equipment while farting around on Facebook. I really wish that a gym would make a rule prohibiting cell phones in the exercise area.

This LA Fitness is awesome. They always keep it nice and clean. All the weights are always picked up so it’s easy to find equipment needed. The Staff is super friendly specially the front check in. Cotto and Patty are super friendly and always make me feel welcomed. Will continue to come here

Nice location, now with COVID-19 they keep everything very clean, they offer bottles with alcohol to clean surfaces and everyone can use them. A lot of machines are not in use to allow for social distancing but you can still get a good workout. They do offer classes and there are plenty of racket courts too. The pool is open but not the sauna or steam rooms - until further notice. You can weight yourself and get other measurements by asking one of the health coaches!

My account was frozen and I came in for the first time in months and the way they handle the pandemic if very professional and everything is clean. Disinfectant bottle are available always and if I can't find one a GM or front desk member will find one and clean it. This is an amazing club I'm glad to be back

I have been to couple of LA fitness in Broward and this one is one of my favorites. Its been remodeled, new vinyl flooring seem cleaner and safer than other locations with carpet. They are taking safety measures seriously, they have sanitizing bottles around to clean your own equipment before and after use. They strictly enforced the usage of masks. They check temperature upon arrival. Showers and water fountains are closed. They spread out the cardio equipment to ensure 6ft distance among them. Everything seems pretty safe and clean.
