The garden is named after Penticton's sister city Ikeda, Japan. It is a garden among the beach front parks and beaches along the scenic Okanagan Lake, which is located right downtown. The garden shares the location with the Penticton Art Gallery. A beautiful place for all seasons. There is a lot to see in this short and very walk-able relaxing tour.

Pretty garden in the middle of a small city right next to a lake. We went in early spring just before the bidding of the plants and it was still quite nice. There is a large koi pond with a few water features and art installations.

Sorry for the kind of trash photos but this place is actually really nice. I expected it to be different and bigger but it’s still nice. You just walk in look around and walk out, not a lot to do but it’s a pretty place. Koi was really cute too.

Lovely, well maintained little garden. We even got to watch a gentleman feed the fish! He answered all of our questions about the fish and garden, too. :)

Very beautiful little public garden, with pleasant Water Lilies abd Covey Fish in the pond. Beautiful path ways to spend some quieter moments.

Cleaned up since the last time I was here. It's fall and the colors are decent. Fish seem to be happy swimming around. Still people leaving dog poop around.

A must visit if you are in the area. Although the garden is not that big, it has a wide variety of plants, trees, etc. The pond in the middle is very relaxing. Make sure you grab some coffee or tea before coming here and enjoy a peaceful afternoon while visiting. Despite coming on winter time, the garden looked very well maintained. Kudos to the staff for keeping this place clean!

Very peaceful and quaint. It's open to the public year round. Small waterfall adds ambiance to the surrounding allowing one to enjoy nature and meditate.

It’s good, just very small, and cannot feed the fishes, but you can feed the wild ducks if you like.

Little hidden gem in Penticton. Quiet, relaxing, and incredibly beautiful Japanese garden with giant koi in the pond. It's a very small park, but worth a trip. Signs in the garden identify the different plants. Seeing the water lilies in bloom was extra special.

This garden is created to commemorate the sister city status of both Penticton British Columbia and the city of Ikeda in Osaka, Japan. It is a peaceful place to enjoy personal reflection and the beautiful back drop of Okanagan Lake. I genuinely enjoy my visit in this twilight today.

On a hot Okanagan day it was a wonderful place to visit. It's free. Shady pathways to linger in. Beautiful Koi Pond. Afterwards we visited the Art Gallery that shares the parking lot.

A small but relaxing place to drift off and calm yourself. There are a handful of shrubs, trees and lanterns to enjoy. Not many traditional features though. The koi all gathered in a corner - maybe waiting for food? The gentle sounds of the lake also contributed to a relaxing environment.

Brutalist concrete wall on one side, lush vegetation on the other, a wooden boardwalk jutting out in the middle, the architecture blends the elements into one. The carps are huge. They must must be decades old.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ All I can say is wow. These dessert milkshakes and ice creams are crazy. I don’t know what to call them but they are awesome if you have a sweet tooth it hits a home run. Milkshake i. the jar, cake on top like a lid and whipped cream and a fuzzy peach as garnish… All kinds of wonderful things in on...

😐 To many dogs on the people beach. Bi-law just rolled on by didn't do a thing. Not sure why we have specific bi-law officers for animals if they don't do anything. Waste of tax payers money. On a high note the public washrooms were better than normal. Less drug addicts in the area as well.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Great little museum. It was pleasant to walk around with my family and not too many people. I loved the personal items on display as well - it was like stepping back in time. Definitely worth the the small entry fee.
