To many dogs on the people beach. Bi-law just rolled on by didn't do a thing. Not sure why we have specific bi-law officers for animals if they don't do anything. Waste of tax payers money. On a high note the public washrooms were better than normal. Less drug addicts in the area as well.

Always a great time, especially during Peach Festival. They also have a great dog beach.

The best foreshore walk along Penticton's South Shore of Okanogan Lake. It's popular with tourists and locals, with all the events throughout the year. It seems that there's always a Classic automobile show anytime of year. Parking is ample most times, although, Summer may take a few passes to get a Shore spot. Read the Bylaw signs for basic regulations. We are One of a few Cities that allow alcohol at the beach, and City Park. Micro Breweries such as the Cannery Brewery sell a variety of Beer and Wine with Foods for Picnics. Or, you can prepare your own. Great Vista's looking North towards Oliver, Peachland and Kelowna. It's a Big Lake.

Beautiful lakefront park located on the downtown boardwalk in Penticton. Lovely for walking, cycling or sitting having coffee and enjoying the view.

Great place for events given the courteous, helpful Penticton attitude of friendliness. However, one occasionally runs into the odd narcissistic person who thinks it her right to stand in front of other people and block the view of others. A pathetic, childish level of nonsense exhibited by supposedly adult human beings. A sad situation in such a great city with super events. πŸ˜”

always a go-to hangout for our family β₯ most times we go down the car and take a walk to the end of the path, either towards the SS Sicamous or The Peach.. sometimes we just park and stare at the lake, just chill highly recommended to anyone visiting Penticton 🫢

A great park to relax at. The park was was very clean and well kept. As well as a main stretch of beach that neighbours the grass playing fields. To the right of the beach there is a dog park beach for owners and dogs to use the beach which is very popular and is a great idea. In addition there is a selection of amenities including park benches, recycling, restrooms and information board stating the location and information about the local history and wildlife.

Gorgeous park! Great scenery with ice cream and boat rentals and more! Making our summer memories here every year.

It's a beautiful Lake Park with lots of grass to have picnics on. Sometimes they have picnic tables and chairs. Lately they've been putting outdoor seating so that people can enjoy the outdoors during the summer. The beach is beautiful, expansive and wide. It's relatively clean and there are garbage bins around the park. Dogs are meant to be on leash. A lot of owners take their dogs here to play. A lot of locals walk around this beach park. One time I saw on homeless man sleeping on the beach. There is a Japanese sister joint project which is very beautiful. The Japanese garden is definitely a must see!

Have a few mins walking in the morning is nice & relax! Hot & crowned in summer time but cool swimming in the clear lake water.

Just came home from viewing some excellent singing artists on stage for Country Night at Peachfest. Great venue, great artists, good music, lots of mini-donuts, french fries, iced capps, ice cream, tacos and... well, you get the picture by now. Lots of boats pulled up on shore of Okanagan Lake listening to the music. Lots more people sprawled on the grass or lounging on lawn chairs (like we did). Four days of the best entertainment, all free. Nothing else like it in Canada.

Beautiful spot. Some nice beach with good sized green space behind. Penticton Creek trail starts here which is a great walk for 6 km round trip if you want to go that far!. There is also a fenced off dog beach where you can take your furbaby for a swim.

Okanagan Lake Park is located on Lakeshore Drive, on the shores of Okanagan Lake and near the downtown. It’s a beautiful park with large grassy area, variety of trees and many benches along the path. An amazing place for people of all ages, very well kept, clean with beautiful sandy beach. Walk path is nice and wide, interesting artwork along the path, good signage. Lovely views and lots of shade on a hot day. Dog friendly.

The water was so warm and there are restrooms which is a bonus

The dog beach is a nice place to let your dogs run a bit of beach and swim, but it's a pretty small fenced in area compared to how much relatively un-used open beach there is at this end of the Lakeshore, as it's certainly not a popular beach for sunbathing etc. I think the only people I have ever really seen here are with their dogs so I think the off leash fenced in area could easily be expanded. Parking is pretty limited as well

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Great little museum. It was pleasant to walk around with my family and not too many people. I loved the personal items on display as well - it was like stepping back in time. Definitely worth the the small entry fee.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ The garden is named after Penticton's sister city Ikeda, Japan. It is a garden among the beach front parks and beaches along the scenic Okanagan Lake, which is located right downtown.
