Our last night in Penang, we were very fortunate to visit this little gem for a ten course omakase dinner. 1st impression was where it was located, hidden away in Georgetown, reminded me of reaching Hakkasan Hanway Place for the first time. We really like the food, using local ingredients, especially the seafood are all line-caught. Fresh, sweet with very light seasoning. The bar was very well stocked, unfortunately as we have a long haul flight to catch the next day we were more cautious in our drinks consumptions. There were 5 of us and everyone has their favourites, my top three will be Venus clams with pork and fermented red capsicum, mud crab and 2 types of breams fish. For 10 course meal using locally caught produce, the price is very reasonable, as this is a small restaurant, you pretty much have the whole place to yourself, great for small party with your food and drinking buddies!

Hidden gem of fine dining in Georgetown. Omakase and 10 course fusion Mediterranean seafood and beef dinner. Romantic and hip ambience. CC; the owner and Chef was very friendly and informative about the menu, staff is also friendly and helpful too. All seafood are fresh and locally bought. Love every single food course we had there. Tried few shots of Irish whiskey and French gin, the bar has plenty of choices of it including wines. Imported salt made all dishes tastier. Reservation is required for dinner. Very recommended!

We loved the premise of letting good quality seafood speak for itself with the deceptively simple Mediterranean treatment of each dish. 10 courses included crab, a tomato salad with pesto, a pecorino wonton puff with Portuguese style soup, 2 types of local fish, a single Sicilian olive (bit of a cheeky “course” that one), prawns and baby octopus in its own ink dressing, clams with bacon, garlic and a gentle chilli (our favourite dish) then an Argentinian steak sandwich and a traditional style orange crepe brûlée. Each dish beautifully presented and we enjoyed the discussion about different cooking techniques and picking the ingredients in each course. Good suggestion with the wine pairing (they only sell by the whole bottle - maybe if they get busier in future they might introduce a “by the glass” range? It was also a pleasure to linger for nearly 3 hours over a meal rather than feel you are being rushed through like so many other restaurants in Penang. Price without wine was RM188 per head.

We had the pleasure to sample Chef CC's 10 course seafood omakase. What a night of sensations. The food was beautifully presented and the cooking respected the seafood, all sourced locally. All the dishes were well balanced and highlighted the freshness and quality of the ingredients. Chef CC was a great host and you could tell his passion for his work. Chef CC indicated that for a next venue, instead of the 10 course omakase meal, he can prepare a 3,4,5 etc course meal as long as you give him a few days' notice. Definitlely, my next dinner venue on my next visit to Penang.

Our first omakase experience, absolutely no regrets having it with a local twist. Locally-sourced ingredients take centre stage and were clearly explained when served. They take pride and great care in their ingredients that's for sure! My basic tastebuds got a glimpse of how amazing flavours and food can be. Definitely coming back the next time.

We had an exquisite dining experience at this hidden restaurant. The place was beautifully decorated, offering an exclusive atmosphere. The chef personally crafted dishes using locally sourced ingredients. The presentation of every dish was impressive, accompanied by explanations of the food sources. Tonight's theme revolved around seafood, featuring wild-caught fish, prawns, squid, and clams. The standout was a remarkable 12-second squid cooking dish, where the squid ink served as a perfect sauce for the simply boiled squid. Another highlight was the flavorful clam cooked with lard and pork, achieving a well-balanced and delicious taste. The innovative fried cheese wrapped in wonton skin, paired with a unique local vegetable soup, was also noteworthy. However, the appetizer with local crab meat fell short, as the meat tasted fishy and not fresh. The grilled local prawns were average in taste, but I would have preferred them to be more bouncy rather than mushy. The locally grown tomatoes were good, although the pesto sauce could have been saltier to enhance the overall flavor. Unfortunately, the Angus beef and chicken sandwich turned out to be too salty. However, we concluded the dinner on a high note with the delightful creme brûlée dessert, which received a definite thumbs up. We also had the pleasure of enjoying a variety of wines from Napa, Spain, Chile, and Italy, which added an inclusive element to our wine-drinking experience.

In Juju, I would say the bar set a high standard, the whisky/gin/rum/wine selection is amazing! I could sit there and drink all night. Food could be improved especially the starters, mains are decent. Ambient is great, and this place is kind of the speakeasy so it’s interesting when you go in.

This was a unique, memorable experience. The whole meal is fresh and of excellent quality. Seafood is locally sourced - we had squid, prawns, clams, sea bream- all expertly cooked and delicious. Amazing, knowledgeable service as well. If you can get a table don’t hesitate.

Juju is a thoughtful delightful other worldly place to slip into. Nature's bounty presented honestly to showcase its true beauty. CC's intent is to reveal and share the taste hiding inside each ingredient like Michelangelo chiselling away at the marble slab to reveal the angel sculpture hidden inside.

We had an amazing time here, thanks in no small part to the creativity and talent of Chef CC. His ability to take the local catches and spices and turn them into unforgettable dishes is truly remarkable. Every bite was bursting with flavor and we couldn't get enough :) We were also impressed by the wine selection. There were plenty of options to choose from, and CC was knowledgeable and helpful when it came to making our selection. The restaurant is cosy and inviting, with a warm and welcoming ambiance that made us feel right at home. And the interiors are simply stunning with the beautiful decor and attention to detail. Overall, we had an incredible evening at Juju Lounge and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a truly special dining experience. We'll definitely be back. S

😠 I reached at around 2:30pm and still need to queue till 3:00 pm. Disappointed with the food because the deep fried fish roe and fish are hard rather than crispy. The gravy is also so so only.

👍 Queue seemed quite long when we arrived around 2.30 pm but we only waited about 20 minutes. I think they should have more signage to tell customers what to do so the process can be easier. There was only one waiter upstairs in the seating area so it was quite difficult to get his attention. Food is...
