Delicious. Had breakfast there this morning. 2,50 € for way to much food and a chinese tea. there are so many options. the restaurant owner is really kind and its a good atmosphere. lots of locals get there food for work to take away and passing by. There are no signs at the buffet, and also fish flavored dishes, if this is too intense for breakfast (for me it is) - you have to ask

Vegan buffet, pretty much always under $2 a plate (but beware - charged by number of items instead of total voulme). I ate here like 5 times in 3 days, it was amazing.

One of the best vegetarian restaurant in town serving a variety of vegetarian dishes. I like that you can choose brown rice instead of white rice. The best time to come is in the mornings when the choice of dishes is still a lot.

EE Beng Vegetarian Food is top quality buffet for a great price. This restaurant is such good value for money. It gets very busy at lunch time so keep in mind you may need to wait for somewhere to sit. For the most delicious mystery tofu portion get the square, brown, layered thing (pictured foreground left of photo below). Takeaway is also really good if you want to do Penang hill, I recommend getting here early (opens at 7am each day but closed on Sunday) and bring some lunch for your hike!

The best vegetarian buffet we have had in Penang. All the fake meats were amazing. Just all delicious. Not to mention these 2 plates cost just £4!

Very economical, family-run, buffet, with plentiful choice of veggies and fake meats. We went there several times with our small girls. They loved being able to serve themselves with whatever they wanted. Our best budget veggetarian/vegan pick in town!

Super tasty and varied food buffet. You take a plate and scoop as much rice and side dishes on it as you want. The bill is then at the end. We paid 14.50RM for two full plates with four side dishes each. We found it great that everything is vegetarian, although it was a Chinese restaurant. Chinese food is normal unfortunately quite meat-heavy.

I gave it a try at this place, becos it's one stop vegan/vegetarian for anyone who wish to eat plantbased food without risking yourself. Like a canteen style. It's personally not my thing since all kinda dishes taste more or less the same. BUT I think this place is a great for anyone who wish to dine in alone, take away, eat plantbased at such an affordable price. Rice+3 dishes : RM 4. (Barely usd 1.5) worth trying for sure. YOU should make sure you have some cash!

We loved this place! It might not be the chepest vegetarian buffet but the food quality is soo good! A lot of veggies and tofu variety. Cheap drinks. We wanted to visit every single day for lunch, it gets busy with locals but you can always find a seat.

Food was delicious, flavorfull - very tasty. Lovely owner, seems to be not just vegetarian it's "vegan". I must confess, I do love those kind of restaurants. I always double check but ....that's what I've been told 🙏. Plate prices are random 😺 we payed between 7-10rm a plate.

You'd think with this many dishes available things would taste the same, but no. Everything is different enough and quite tasty. Great price too! The only problem is it's so easy to eat too much here! I tried to get a little bit of everything but couldn't 😂

Awesome vegan joint, good taste, tons of dishes that were too many to try, clean, very reasonable price (less than $2.50 USD), and quite healthy. What's not to like? I went back again today, and it was even better than the first day. You wouldn't know it's vegetarian unless they tell you. It's all vegetarian! A definite place to visit for a healthy, vegetarian lovers! Make sure to try their Almond coffe/drink. It's out of this world!

Really delicious buffet - staff don't have much English so communication was a little difficult for us with no Malay, but very friendly. Basic inside, classic vegetarian Chinese buffet style. Ee Beng!

December, 2023 Outstanding vegetarian buffet restaurant. All dishes are freshly prepared each day. The creative variations of natural meat substitutes know no bounds here. Very delicious. The price varies based on your selections. For 8 MYR, you get a wide range, including rice. Try the coarse red organic rice – it's tasty! *we travel the world! I’ve been coming here 2-3 times weekly for three months now and the review still remains: Friendly staff, delicious food, affordable prices - all this makes this a five star experience. You simply take a plate, shove on whatever you desire from the vegan/vegetarian buffet, go to the payment counter, let the staff inspect your plate, and then find a place to sit and devour that food! Yum

Perfect place to get your veggies fix. My eyes were bigger than my stomach but got to take the food home (paid as another dish of course) My suggestion eat an appropriate meal. Then grab a take away box for your evening meal.

Favourite place to eat in Penang. So many options, all vegetarian. Just fill a plate up, take it to the counter and she’ll ask for between 6-10MYR. Ate here everyday of my stay.

Best place: lots of vegetarian varieties, low budget, good quality, and kind ladies are running it! ♡ We got this meal: soup, two second dishes, a tea and a coffee for RM17. 100% recommend it!!

Local family run restaurant serving absolutely incredible local food with authentic taste. Tried the mix veg rice (MYR 7) on one day and returned for Laksa (MYR 6) on another day. Highly recommend!

Love this place. So many different options to choose from. We eat here 3 or 4 times a week. Very busy during lunch rush & super hot for dine in so we always get take away. Excellent prices & the food is delicious!

Still the best vegetarian option in Penang for Malay-Chinese cuisine. 5.50 (4.50 for small, 5 for medium size) Ringit gets you a massive bowl of any of their amazing curry soups, a huge plate from the extensive serve yourself buffet tends to be around the same price. Juices are excellent too. Been coming here for years and see no reason to stop. Think curry me as pictured. Amazing. Warning: the soups are not served agree 1:30-2PM. Current hours are 7AM-9PM.

Amazing vegetarian Chinese buffet at an incredible price. Roughly 5-9 MYR depending on what you choose and how much you load on your plate. Huge variety and all very tasty, more options around lunch compared to the evening as they ramp down for the day. Friendly servers. Try the curry bao bun!

If you want no-frills vegan food on a budget this place has that. Serve yourself from the buffet then go to the register and the lady will eyeball your plate and give you a price. My sm-med size plate was 5rm. Mostly rice, noodles, and fake meat on offer but there was cabbage and water spinach and other room temperature veg also.

Good vegetarian place to eat! You pay for however many options you pile on your plate. My boyfriend and I both got rice plus 3 options and a drink. Total was 17RM, seems great value!

Self service buffet. Find the food tasteless and the price above average. There is varities of food available. The food was so-so.

Crowded but service is fast. No grumpy or irritated staff just because of overworking. Food choices are aplenty. Taste is OK. If you're not a fan of simple economy mix rice dishes, then go for their a la carte noodles or pau. Fresh fruit juices are cheap as well.

  • 5/5 Win T. 5 years ago on Google
Affordable vegetarian food, good choice of cooked and pre cooked food. Lady fingers amazingly young and we'll cooked. Huge spread of different varieties of vegetarian food, mostly locals come with their own tin containers for take away. Tried their curry noodles, clear noodles, and rice dishes. Carrot juice $2 ringgit.

😠 I reached at around 2:30pm and still need to queue till 3:00 pm. Disappointed with the food because the deep fried fish roe and fish are hard rather than crispy. The gravy is also so so only.

👍 Queue seemed quite long when we arrived around 2.30 pm but we only waited about 20 minutes. I think they should have more signage to tell customers what to do so the process can be easier. There was only one waiter upstairs in the seating area so it was quite difficult to get his attention. Food is...
