Saint Mary's Cathedral has always been a beautiful church, though after extensive renovations and a Stunning Restoration of the old part of The Church... St Mary's Cathedral is now possibly one of the most stunning churches in Perth.... The gardens are spectacular, a waterfall feature at the entrance of the church is also a newly added feature, as is the well planned & thought out underground & above parking bays. When you consider the location is right in front of one of the busiest Emergency & Trauma Departments at Royal Perth Hospital. Parking was always a problem in the past, especially if you're attending a wedding. It's also known for it's popularity for weddings. The interior is stunning, you can see the large open windows that were added during the renovations along with the old & new parts of the Cathedral in the photos I've uploaded. Highly recommended for a visit, the lawns are always scattered with individuals enjoying lunch... A lot of the patients from RPH also sit in the gardens & enjoy the sunshine. The City of Perth Planning Commission actually got it right this time...!!

Beautiful church architecture inside and out, great place to attend mass and pray in. If i had to be netpicky, the speakers sound a bit muffled and made it a bit challenging to hear the word of the lord. Holy water has UV light sanitation system... awesome!

Partly refurbished, the cathedral is a mix of old and new. The acoustics is astounding, and a single choir singer reverberates through the cathedral. Beautiful stained glass.

Beautiful Catholic Cathedral built by monks. Peaceful inside. Church organs have fantastic sound. It would be nice to see the extension cladded in sandstone to look like an integral part of the whole cathedral.

Absolutely gorgeous cathedral. The echo throughout is awesome and so many beautiful statues to see inside. I love the colourful church windows with all the inscriptions on them. Fr Kenneth is such a lovely Priest, he is genuine and his homily’s are great to listen to.

This is one of the most beautiful and peaceful churches in Perth. The church has daily masses and wonderful Sunday morning and evening services here. ( 8am - 5pm)It is a must visit in Perth. The grotto for Our Lady and the Sacred Heart of Jesus are beautiful and peaceful. You can spend hours in prayer here without anyone disturbing you. It is such a miraculous church.

Wonderful church with a mix of modern and Victorian styles of architecture. You can worship in the various grottos for private intentions. Mass and confession is held regularly.

Great mother church in Perth you shouldn't miss out. Car park underground and ground, cafe is near in RPH, always enjoyed healthy hot food, best chips ever! Eat them on the Cathedral lawn. Donation by your card. Lovely place.

My uncle daughter baptism. The church is really nice with old artifacts that's makes it quite interesting and not wanting to leave. It's the church cathedral around Royal perth hospital. The priest and the altar servers were really good and with beautiful choirsters.

Beautiful Cathedral. Very neat, clean, bright church unlike many Cathedrals I've seen dim and dark. It also had that warm friendly feel. Attended Mass 2 days in a row. Same priest Fr Sean Fernandez. What was lovely about his masses they were short, sweet and homily simple and to the point.. Love the decor and leadlights etc. Central location right next to the Royal Perth hospital

Such a beautiful grand cathedral. It has similar characteristics to the ones in Europe. It's interior features a mixture of modern and Classic design. Inside you will find a wonderful souvenir/gift shop, with friendly staff, and serene water features. Outside hosts a beautiful manicured garden, lots of car parking space (above ground & also underground too). Definitely a place for Sunday Mass, Weddings, Holy Communions and so much more.

Definitely worth a visit, it's a 3 minute walk from Perth Mint so there's no excuse not to call in ✝️

People working in church are so nice a approachable. I like the mini gallery/souvenir inside the church. Well organized brochure in the entrance, and informative. So beautiful inside , and I love attending Sunday mass.

Ambience - reverence and serene - very good for prayers and meditation. Iconic. Adequate security. Souvenir shop and much more. I love the place. I feel safe and secure just sitting in a corner to pray and meditate. Ample parking. Red cat route.

My sisters wedding was unbelievable! The regal setting creating an intimate but grandiose atmosphere that was enjoyed by everyone who attended. The close proximity to the weddings function and hotel accommodation in Perth City also meant we were able to make the most of the night without having to spend heaps on taxis and ride shares.

Tour guide gave us the history and showed us around. It is rather beautiful, and the tour was interesting. Worth a visit..

This is a very historic church that was built more than a century ago, the architecture is very beautiful both from the interior and exterior, in general this place is quite well maintained and very clean not only on the inside, even the outside is also clean, the grass is very well maintained good for other plants, very strategic location, in the center of Perth city, easy to reach from all sides of Perth city, large enough capacity, very good for those who are looking for peace when carrying out mass on Sundays

St Mary's Cathedral is quite a historic place to visit and it's beautiful architecture makes it picture perfect. They have daily guided tours (for a few) that help explain the many things you can see inside. It's located on top of a hill which makes you feel a bit closer to heaven. 😁

Visited Saint Mary's Cathedral Church in evening 7pm and morning 11am. Atmosphere in evening time is very nice compared to morning time. I have not went inside the church due my time limitation. Loved the architecture of the church.

Sound system makes it hard to understand what is being said. A lot of echoing and reverberation. I have been a few times and sat in different places but the experience is the same. I feel the repositioning of the altar to the middle of the building has cut off the aesthetics of the old altar and has resulted in the feeling of the building being two buildings joined together. I hope they do something about the sound system

When I was a boy this was a beautiful historic building, prestigious and majestic. I'm really sad to see it restored and maintained so poorly over the years, the building looks like some dictators personal mansion and not a house of God.
