Came pretty late around 4pm so didn’t get much time as I wanted, but there wasn’t much to see once I was inside. The building is pretty small in comparison to AGWA, and much fewer exhibits on display as well. Worth a quick visit if you are nearby, but otherwise AGWA has more to see and do.

A nice place to grab a coffee and a quick bite to eat in the Perth cultural centre - if it is a nice day even better to sit and relax in their outdoor area

The Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts is a small theatre in The James Street Mall or in The Cultural Centre as others still call it... There are so many talented Perth Performers & Dancers, Live Bands & Live Theatrical Performances...!!!! The Building, I also heard was now going to be restored to it's former Beauty.... The Picabar is also going to stay, it's not closing down.... NOW, It looks sensational.. THE CULTURAL CENTRE where the ART GALLERY & THE NEWLY RENOVATED MUSEUM are... It's very close to the city & the PERTH TRAIN STATION... You can view better photos of this Iconic Building in my review of THE PICABAR which is in the same building... Also a great place for the locals...!! Check it out..

Loved the free exposition. Nice small museum, well organised in small rooms and easy to navigate. Pictures are from the student award exposition. I posted my fav pieces.

Went to the recent Hatched: After Dark opening. Lovely venue and I've attached my favourite piece of art.

The size is small. They had a number of interesting pieces here. It was just fun. I wanted more, but they did not have the space.

Had a fantastic couple or exhibitions on. Not for some as there was nudity. Perhaps check before you take your kids. Pleasant and helpful staff. Good ambiance and a great building. Perfectly location. I'll be coming again soon for sure.

Free and easily accessible exhibition space. Staff are friendly and helpful, but it's a small space and very easy to navigate without assistance/guidance. It's great that they highlight the work of emerging artists and art school graduates.

The interior space for exhibition is quite small.

Not much to see compared to places nearby. But if you’ve got the time, there’s a bit to check out, and usually a bit for kids to do.

Went to see the national graduate show. Quite disappointed to see lots of so-called arts nowadays, that have degraded so much - As long as you can fabricate a story around popular ideology such as religion, identity or climate change, you can call whatever you are displaying as "art". One example was a video that captured trees being blown by the wind from a window, which apparently was supposed to portray a sense of loneliness and helplessness??? In the same video, there was a damaged glassware being dropped to the ground, which related to the plight of domestic violence ... Given the amount of time spent in the university, I would expect something of higher quality instead of a video that can be quickly put together in 10 mins.
