Great roof top , nice view and tidy bar, nice drinks, prices are fair.

Nice staff behind the bar but rude management. They need a course in customer service. Attended an engagement party on the weekend where there was issues with the music volume, an issue that was not discussed when the booking for the party was made. When the hosts requested the volume to be dialled up a bit, the manager’s response was that the party is already too rowdy with one person already vomiting. The aforementioned vomiting person is my darling one year old granddaughter who had an unusual upset stomach episode that night. Pleading with the manager and explaining only made him more rude, confrontational and unhelpful, even though his own staff were witness to the baby being unwell. Needless to say the manager’s attitude greatly upset the hosts and the newly engaged couple. Not happy and I won’t trust them with my event.

SHAME ON YOU I have never ever in my life felt the anger and the helplessness that I felt last Saturday night at my daughter's engagement party at Aurora Rooftop Bar .👎👎👎 The reason for my dissatisfaction is due to your failed, arrogant and ignorant management team who have no sympathy or understanding to customer needs. One simple legitimate request was all what the customer requested and which was agreed on before booking the venue and you DID NOT deliver. All we asked for was Music to be played and HEARD by our guests. Not an unrealistic request for an events venue!! Only for management to deny us and refuse to turn the music up. Despite the fact the venue has a sound system capable of higher volume. Melbourne Hotel Perth management you need significant training in hospitality and management courses. Shame on you and your managerial attitude for ruining my daughter's engagement party and turning it from a night of joy to a night of disappointment and distress.

A beautiful rooftop bar with a great atmosphere. It's the perfect spot for some casual afternoon drinks with friends and colleagues. The staff are friendly and make great cocktails.

They don't understand hospitality, typical of some Perth venues that they charge lots, yet provide minimal. Rooftop bar either closed or closes early. Its on their terms or not at all. Not sure that aligns to a cocktail bar offer?? Essentially,...their tone, lack of assertive, friendly or timely response,... indicates they don't really need your business.... Tiny's bar across the road so much better!!!

We had our engagement party at Aurora and it was amazing! Telia was such a great help in booking in our event from start to end. The night was so lovely and we were lucky for nice winter weather so we could have the rooftop area open (if it was rainy we had the back up plan to close the area off and be inside). The staff on the night were friendly and professional, the food amazing and the drink service and selection really good.

Too hot in summer time. Aircon does not work properly inside. Otherwise a good venue.

Slowest bar in Perth. I've been here three times for multiple hours and can confidently say the bartenders are the slowest around. There are plenty behind the counter but work in slow-motion. If you're into skinny drinks and wasting your time without anything to sip, go to this bar. The setting is excellent, but atmosphere is ruined by the communal knowledge it will take 30 minutes to get another drink. Your time is worth more than these tasty drinks. This isn't the high-end bar you thought it was. The only benefit is it will give you plenty of time to leave a tastful review. Cheers!

Went there for the NYE Sunset Soiree. For the price of 130$ there were only some drinks included (2 types of beer and some wine) Cocktails were charged from start till end with 18$ each… “Canapes” were just some spring rolls and stuff out of the fridge. Not even worth mentioning it. The “DJ” was playing a Spotify playlist and just said random stuff over the mic. For me that has nothing to do with “festive beats” as announced beforehand. Average age was about 45+ years and there was no real party feeling. Never again….

Safe place ... no zombies sighted. Glass partitioning nice. They have a still making gin at the bar ... a vacuum cooler with a reflux watercooled evap unit ... the mash is all in transparent pyrex. Watch it making alcohol while you drink ...

Lovely place to meet with friends and enjoy a few drinks. A pity it's only open on Fridays

We had a great time. New Year's Eve party was bouncing. Wide range of people made for a fun night.

A nice bar with a good view of some of the skyline. Love the atmosphere, but the bar could perhaps be open until a bit later..

Terrible Management! Unaccommodating, inconsiderate and rude. We had my sister’s engagement party at aurora bar last night, with one of the main items of discussion prior to the event being the ability to play music and have a dance floor. Both of which were agreed upon by the venue. On the night the sound system was extremely low volume and the venue manager did not allow us to increase the volume. He was unapologetic, unsympathetic and plain rude. Hospitality should be accommodating to the customer and ensure they leave satisfied. Or at least have their requests addressed/considered before rejecting their concerns as invalid Every single guest stated they could not hear the music. The venue did not have any sound complaints and the decibels were well below local council regulation. Yet the venue refused to have our (the customer) needs met simply out of spite and bad attitude. Felt bad for his bar staff as they were very lovely, set up the venue nicely, served good food/drinks and tried their best to help but were not allowed to assist with the music request.

Incredibly disappointing. Would not recommend and would avoid at all costs. My sister had booked the Aurora Rooftop bar for her engagement party last weekend. They had booked the entire venue, for a private event. While the venue is nice and the bar staff were friendly. The bar and venue manager were unhelpful, unreasonable, unsympathetic and straight up do not care. All guests at the party had asked if the music can be turned up as they were unable to hear it. When requested from staff, they refused as they're only allowed to have it at a certain volume. The bar / venue manager claimed they had noise complaints in the past, and it wasn't worth getting another one. To be clear - the venue has an indoor area, which opens up to a balcony. The volume was so low, the guests on the balcony could not hear the music at ALL, and guests indoors could barely hear it. So it amazes me that the venue manager could claim the music would disturb people 100 meters or further away. Multiple people tried to reason with the manager to turn up the music to a reasonable level, but to no avail. Essentially ruining the party and upsetting the hosts and guests. Again, incredibly disappointing, and I would advise anyone considering this venue to consider again. There are 10's of alternative venues within minutes of the Melbourne Hotel and Aurora bar. I just wish we had selected a different one to being with.

From the first minute of my daughter's engagement party, the music was so low that no one inside the party could clearly hear it. When we asked the venue manager to turn up the music a little, he strongly and rudely refused, saying they cannot risk getting complaints. If the audience inside the venue themselves couldn't hear the music, how could the residents around hear it? The venue manager was rude and unhelpful at all. We spent thousands of dollars to make our daughter, family and friends happy and to enjoy the party but this bad management ruined our celebration and my daughter was so upset in her own party. The venue is beautiful, but it has lost its beauty due to bad management .The bar staff were generally good and the food was good but the way the food was distributed amongst the visitors could have been more efficient. I will never recommend this venue to anyone . Unfortunately our great expectations for a lovely night of joy went in vain because of their failed management. Shame on you Melbourne Hotel / Perth Aurora Rooftop bar in particular.
