Excellent Brazilian steakhouse with premium cuts of meats well served in a all-you-can-eat system and placed close to the Quitandinha Hotel. The place has a beautiful view of the landscape and is usually crowded on weekends. The only regret is the price is not easy.

Beautiful restaurant in a very nice location. Cuts were delicious and the variety of food options was nice. Service is a plus, waiters polite and fun! Easy to park and to enjoy. Get your wallet ready!

My fellow Americans and foreigners, you need to see this place in person. Take you time, ask for a table in the new saloon with incredible views, ask for a wine and after all, take a papaya with Contreau. Enjoy! My regards and sincerely thanks to all staff and management. This place would have been fantastic even at twice the cost!! Everything I tried from filet of mignon to the scallops was a delight. Being from the US and considering the food, service, and all around atmosphere, this was an awesome find.

Food came out so fast, all the steak/beef was perfect, the sushi was delicious!

I can’t add more stars, as there is maximum 5.. but service and food is most certainly is more than 7 stars. Which people are really kind, not because of work, but really from their deep heart! And one really interesting and not common thing that I practiced here, during 9 minutes, since we have entered to the restaurant, we were full.. 9 minutes… love u guys!!

The meat was very nice, prime steak the best, service was OK but lacked any good English speaking waiters which was disappointing... The dessert was good, the surrounding scenery was very good... Would visit again. .

Food was great, many different cuts of beef, pork, chicken and fish. Salads were very nice. You will not leave this place hungry or dissatisfied.

The best steakhouse in Petrópolis! We took some people from Israel to try the Brazilian barbecue at Fogo de Chão (in Botafogo in Rio de Janeiro) and in Lago Sul (in Petrópolis). Everyone preferred the Churrascaria Lago Sul because in addition to the excellent infrastructure, the service is excellent, all the time the waiters are making sure that you are eating everything you want. Furthermore, the view is wonderful !!!!!

Damn, you better be hungry! I have heard about Brazilian BBQ before, now to have experienced it first hand in Brazil was epic... It is almost overwhelming at first as the food is served very quickly. I finished my first beer, tried a few appetizers and then utilized the yes or no cards on the table for service. I took my time to enjoy each selection before accepting the next. If you try to keep up with the service you will be full before you even get started. Since I do not know any Portuguese besides Obrigado, one of the servers happened to speak English and he was extremely helpful to me. Highlight of my trip! Obrigado Lago Sul!

This place is excellent! They brought pictures of juice instead of glasses. Which was a way of extracting more money I presume. Specify a glass of juice. The meat made up for it. It was very good and reasonably priced for the quality.

Wonderful view of the lake and hotel, with very good quality and excellent service. Pretty good value at all you can eat for R$77 including a wide range of sides. Nice drink selection, too. Highly recommended, though really just for meat eaters. Hard place to go with a vegetarian in the group, but otherwise a great selection of meats and fish.

I really wanted to love this place. The grounds are incredible.and the view is amazing and the food was even good. But the service was so weird. This is one of those buffets where you have a card that you flip green or red depending if you want more food. Well people started coming around and we were asking the staff what we were being served...we knew it was beef or chicken...but some had garlic sauce and some was striploin or pineapple or cheese bread...and I think because they didnt speak english and we couldnt communicate in Portuguese they literally stopped coming to our table. We could see the waiters going to all the other tables and completely avoiding us until we had to holler them over. About 8 people passed. We didnt really care what we were eating...the food was food. Just inquiring until we realized they couldnt tell us...we think that may be the reason they skipped. But it's not cheap and definitely wasnt worth the money for that kind of service. We felt really weird watching the staff avoid us with our green cards up on the table and no one coming near us. Anyways...go it's super popular...maybe it was just us. Who knows.
