I lived in Philadelphia for almost 20 years, so I know Philly, and whenever I return to visit friends and family this is my go to place to stay. The location is perfect for the best shopping and food the city has to offer. The hotel itself is gorgeous, the rooms are beautifully appointed and the attention to detail is astonishing. The purveyors are warm, welcoming and always accommodating. While living in the city, I worked for one of the city's most successful 5 star 5 diamond hotels, and I still prefer to stay here when I go back to visit because their hospitality and genuine care for their guests is that good. For the best boutique hotel experience in Philadelphia, do not hesitate to secure your booking here!

The Dwight D was the reception venue for my micro wedding - January 2021. We planned an intimate evening for our family at the Estate @ The Dwight D. The Estate is the mansion next door to the hotel. The entire property was exceptional. We had a vintage 1921 style wedding & the aesthetics of the Estate & hotel emphasized this is so many ways. It was perfect! The dining room was a lovely option for a wedding dinner. It was so nice to be in a grand dining room, without the public environment of a restaurant. The courtyard out back hosted our dessert course - marshmallows by the fire. Even in January, it was so enjoyable. We were able to utilize the rooms at the hotel next door for our family members. All in all, the amenities are very conducive for an intimate wedding or event. Highly recommend both properties!

This establishment is an absolute dream. The history in the building, the thoroughly curated decor and heart that goes into the Dwight D is second to none. It is the perfect spot for a overnight getaway or a wedding weekend. Absolutely pristine and unsurpassed service.

The Dwight D is incredible. Among boutique hotels there is no rival in Philadelphia. They take care of every detail and every room is meticulously decorated and maintained. Vittoria is personable and goes above an dbeyond to make it a great stay. Ken is consistently amiable and searching for ways to improve your stay. I can't recommend the Dwight D highly enough.

We loved the Dwight D. The location was excellent and the hotel is so charming and thoughtfully appointed. The hosts were also great and very helpful. Our room was comfortable - great bed - and had everything we could want or need including a fridge and water. Highly recommend.

I’ve been staying at the Dwight D since 2015. It was a happy accident that I found this hotel and I fell in love with it immediately. Not only are the beds the most extraordinary cloud you’ve ever slept on, but the rooms are appointed so beautifully and elegantly. I have stayed there a dozen or so times and I have stayed in many different rooms, including in their new addition. I have never, ever been disappointed! Each room is more lovely than the next!! I even threw a post pandemic party there because I have quite a lot of friends in Philly. The garden is magnificent. EXACTLY what I pictured when I was a little girl reading the Secret Garden. The owners, Vittoria and Ken (while I did not meet them when I first arrived because I arrived in the middle of the night since I work in the live touring music business) when I did meet them they were the most personable, immediately likable, amazing people with whom I have continued to keep in touch. My recent stay was better than ever and I am looking forward to being there one day when they have one of their amazing dinners.

I stayed the night before my wedding. It was the most beautiful room I have ever stayed in. It felt like a palace. The attention to detail of this room was incredible. The bed was SO comfortable and I got the most peaceful nights rest. I couldn't have asked for a better place to start off my wedding day.

What a great experience! The rooms were immaculate, the hosts were personable and welcoming, and the space is beautiful. They are located so close to everything and, in comparison to other boutique hotels, their prices are more than competitive. Thank you for a great stay!

Stayed twice so far and now I look for any excuse to go to Philly for the Dwight D alone. Vittoria and Ken and the whole staff are naturals at what they do- honestly don't think I knew what hospitality was all about until my first stay. You feel taken care of. The place is impeccably clean, restored to a T, rich in history, gorgeous art and bespoke furniture. Everything is perfect honestly, I just worry it gets too full and I can't get a room 😬

My husband and I booked a last-minute trip to Philly for my birthday and serendipitously landed at the Dwight D hotel near Rittenhouse Square. Vittoria and Ken offer a gorgeous, serene setting with beautiful rooms and helpful suggestions for bopping around the city. We loved every minute of our stay at the Dwight D and will definitely return here on our next visit to Philly.

Location was great! Walked to dinner, visited some museums and found local places to enjoy drinks. This place is unique and luxurious. You can tell that the owners take pride in the property and care for their guests. Vittoria knew the special local events and made this an amazing visit!

I stayed in a suite with my wife and was impressed with just about everything about this hotel. It is a boutique site, with rooms that offer privacy if desired, yet public spaces are available if you would like to join others. Everything was clean and new and all the finishes and furniture were top shelf. We enjoyed some after dinner aperitifs in the private courtyard and enjoyed the view from the huge picture windows. I highly recommend a stay here.

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Dwight D. The property is absolutely gorgeous, and Vittoria is very warm and welcoming. Highly recommend! Amazing find in the city. Will definitely be back!

Excellent experience this last weekend at the DD. The owners really do such an awesome job at keeping the place up and it shows. Ken and his wife go above and beyond to help, guide and protect all their patrons. Forgot to put my parking pass on the dash and Ken noticed the meter police, went outside to place one by the windshield. Who does that?! Its right in the middle of the city, close to everything, super clean and beautiful inside. Way to go, guys!

This is a gorgeous and immaculate hotel. So clean and the historic details are so beautiful. Vittoria and Ken went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable during our little Couples getaway. We will be back soon ! Thank you!!

I stayed at The Dwight D in early June 2023. The room was great. The owners are very nice. The street was quiet at night. The location couldn't be better.

An exquisite blend of old and new, the Dwight D will be our go-to escape for years to come! The owners' attention to detail and good taste are evident throughout the boutique hotel, from L'Occitane bath products to luxe linens and robes to chic cocktails and snacks. Rooms beckon the striking antique design of the original building, nuanced by contemporary decor. Hoteliers Vittoria and Ken spare no expense in ensuring guests feel pampered but not suffocated: complimentary Tea FortĂŠ served in the lounge, iPad terminal in each room, complimentary luggage transfer. An impeccable boutique experience!

Vittoria and Ken have created a beautiful oasis in the heart of Center City. This boutique hotel is nestled in the Rittenhouse neighborhood. The rooms are very well designed with next to zero sound coming in from outside which is rare in a city. There is a gorgeous outside garden with plenty of space to unwind. The Dwight D truly feels like your own private townhome with everything you could want within walking distance.

Best place to stay in Phili. Loved the rooms and the owners are so helpful. After they mapped out phili for us people literally asked if we were locals. They also set us up with a very late checkout for a very reasonable price so that we could be comfortable waiting for our late flight. We will be back.

My husband and I love staying at The Dwight D Hotel! It’s our go to home away from home. We are semi local, living just a few minutes outside of the city but that doesn’t stop us from coming here any chance we get! We love doing “staycations” here and we look forward to many more! Vittoria and Ken are the best hosts and always make us feel so welcome. Attention to detail is clearly important to the owners. Our stays always make us feel like we are the guests of honor at The Dwight D! The sheets, towels, decor, gardens, cleanliness, and even beverages are thought through to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Heck, if one side of the bed doesn’t have a good spot for your phone charger, a charging pad is there and ready to go. Nothing is missed here, owners are wonderful and the location is great. I want to be selfish and keep this place a secret but I find myself telling others about it any chance I get!

This hotel is beautiful! The hosts (owners) definitely make you feel welcomed and taken care of. They go above and beyond! You can tell that every aspect of the hotel has been given much thought. Very clean, very quiet, great location. We only had one night there, but would look forward to a longer stay in the future. Thank you for a wonderful experience. Can't wait to sit in that beautiful garden!

Everything about our stay was perfect. Room was immaculate and spacious. The owners were attentive, personable and helpful. We’ll be back!

To be honest I haven't stayed here yet. But I wanted to give my experience so far. I booked and they called me to verify some information which was great of them. Saved me a disaster. Then I ran into life issues after my cancelation time frame and they assisted me in rebooking. So far I haven't stepped foot in the hotel, however the customer service has been above and beyond any customer service I have ever dealt with. Can't wait to stay. I'll post a follow up after.

Actually, this was our second visit. Our first was during our daughter's wedding weekend and we loved the Dwight D, but didn't get to appreciate all it had to offer. So my husband and I visited again the weekend before St.Patricks day. Vittoria and Ken remembered us and were so welcoming. Our room was beautiful. But what makes this so wonderful is the care Vittoria and Ken put into making everyone feel comfortable and welcome. Thanks again and will return again.

The historic buildings, the enchanted garden, the decor, your bags that mysteriously vanish the moment you walk in and appear in your room, the exquisite art, bed linens and gorgeously appointed baths… a stay to remember! Can’t wait to book a private dinner party in the chef’s kitchen… my only frustration is we can’t leave with the furnishings! Meeting Victoria is just the cherry on top. A gem of a boutique hotel in the heart of Center City!

We could not have asked for a better place to stay or better hosts! Vittoria and Ken were so helpful, knowledgeable, and warm. I felt like we were staying with friends. The Dwight D is beautiful, so comfortable, and perfectly located. We cannot wait to return!

The experience at Dwight D was beyond exceptional! Vittoria and her husband take such amazing care of this beautiful boutique hotel and it shows tenfold while staying as a guest. The luxurious amenities and warm hospitality is unmatched in the Philadelphia area. We will definitely be back! A huge thank you for a wonderful stay.

Great boutique hotel that was perfect for long weekend. Vittoria and Ken were amazing and warm hosts who made sure throughout our visit we had everything we needed. Unique rooms and lovely common spaces made it a really welcome stay. Location is great for Center City. Would definitely look to re-book ourselves. Recommend to anyone looking for getaway experience not offered by chains or big hotels.

We had a lovely stay at the Dwight D. Victoria and her husband were very accommodating and it was nice to talk to them about the building and neighborhood. The room was very comfortable, private, and quiet. It was nice to have tea available, as well glasses, plates, and a sink in the room. We had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend staying here.

Our stay at The Estate House, part of the Dwight D hotel, was delightful. Owner Vittoria was communicative from the start, and met us at the property upon our arrival. She was generous with her time and showed us the house from top to bottom. There is some renovation going on to connect this townhouse with the hotel proper, which actually worked well for us as it gave us access to an additional room, where we gathered for morning coffee. The owners have put a lot into this property and it shows. If you appreciate grand, older homes, this is the place for you. Tall ceilings and windows, deep moldings and creaky wood floors add to the charm. The kitchen is MUCH nicer than mine at home, and was extremely well stocked with many spices, oils, flour/sugar, and on and on. There was plenty of room for three couples to spread out. Outdoor green space is a precious commodity in the area, and this rear garden is just lovely — very large, shady, and private. We appreciated the numerous “little touches” that added to the enjoyment of our stay. Temporary dashboard parking passes, two kinds of bottled water in each suite, iPad in each suite with local info highlighted, charcuterie tray and wine waiting for us… The location is also fantastic — a block or two from Rittenhouse Square, many local cafes and eateries, and more. You won’t be disappointed if you choose to book this property.

Superb! The epitome of gracious hospitality with magnificent design detail. The whole vibe is upscale, warm, and inviting, with service that surpasses that of any big luxury brand. Highly recommend!

My husband and I stayed at the Dwight D. for a week. We had a room at the back of the hotel, and you could hear absolutely no traffic noise at all! It was so quiet that it was hard to believe we were staying in the middle of the city. The rooms are well-appointed and lovely. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud! The owners, Vittoria and Ken, are absolutely wonderful. So very welcoming and helpful. Thanks to them we had some wonderful dining experiences, and visited the absolute best of Philadelphia!

My husband and I just got home from a beautiful weekend. Everything about this boutique hotel was incredible. The owners were extremely friendly and even upgraded us for my husband’s birthday. It was quiet and private, but if you wanted to be with everyone, they had a little lounge downstairs. The outdoor space was cozy and beautiful. The owner spent the time going over the map of the town with us and explained everything in such a way that we felt like we were pros walking around Philadelphia for the weekend lol. Because it’s located in a more residential part of the city it’s super quiet yet still close to everything! It was extremely clean and the beds were really comfortable. Highly, Highly, Highly recommend.!
