In town for a convention? Want to get terrible service, be threatened by management, and have no itemized bill shown to you? This is the place for all that!!! Details follow. I didn't like it when the waitress refused to show us an itemized receipt. I really didn't like it when the manager ditched us and went out the back door. I didn't like it when the General Manager came out yelling at me. I didn't like how my party was discriminated against because of our appearance. I didn't like being threatened by the general manager and being told in front of a room full of people "Who do you think the cops are going to believe a business that has been here for thirty years or you?" Oh and the bathroom was out of towels, so one of the employees went into a stall and handed me some toilet paper. Nicest guy there. Tacos were edible. Water tastes terrible and leaves a nasty aftertaste that does not go away easily.

Came here for a quick happy hour / late lunch. Ordered happy hour priced potato skins (two potatoes cut in half for a total of four skins). Came with cheese, bacon and sour cream which was on the side. Also ordered happy hour priced house margaritas. Food and drink quality was above average, which was great for the happy hour pricing. The service was good as we were able to get a table quickly despite the business of the local convention events. My only gripe is a second margarita that was ordered but was never delivered. By the time the server followed up on it, it was too late and time to go…. Maybe next time?

I flew in Sunday 8/20/2023 that morning and when I arrived at the Sheraton and got settled in, I was definitely hungry for a warm American meal. I did ask around and this place was coming up a lot. So, I made that quick 5 minute walk. The photos are below and yet bit was AMAZING!! My server Kenneisha which by the way was also the bar server, the server, the cook and the floors waitress 🦾, was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! Woman can work! All while keeping calm, collective & extremely Professional! She was the one that suggested that dish and as being in Off-Season from Bodybuilding, this was the 1st time that I was able to actually fully eat a whole chicken sandwich meal! So Yeah, that good! It was so good and the atmosphere was fabulous, I brought my team along for dinner later that evening. Enjoy🍸

Came here due to the proximity to the convention center and was blown away! The food was delicious, the service was so good and the food came out super fast! I hand the Joe Kleine's Chicago blue and my son has the BBQ bacon burger. Both were great, the fries were great and we had Madison's skins on the side, also great. It was a perfect dinner stop!

Good food - wrong prices. The sweet potatoes fries were tasty. The Caesar salad tasted good and was a good portion for a side but was swimming in dressing. 3 stars only because the prices are higher than stated on the menu. Pictured is our bill compared to the menu on the website, which shows the same prices as the printed menu. I certainly wouldn't have bought a beverage if I knew what it actually cost.

Stopped in for a quick bite and had a great lunch. Reuben sandwich 🥪, Hamburger 🍔, and a big Nacho plate. Everyone was happy with their choice. Lot's of televisions playing different games. The owner, basketball 🏀 legend Dan Majerle stopped by our table to see how it was...just kidding, but I wish he did. Our waitress Madison was awesome!

The food and beer is fabulous! The staff is also fabulous! This place is calm during earlier hours but in the evening time it’s boomin with lots of people and loud music, in you’re not into that type of atmosphere I suggest you go in the earlier hours before 1pm.

Majerle's Sports Grill was a nice surprise for us conveniently located next to the Hyatt Regency and across from the convention center. We were looking for a nearby lunch establishment with good food. In fact, we thought the food was so good that we patronized this Sports Grill twice for lunch. The burgers were delicious. Staff was super nice, service really prompt, food accurately described from menu.

We made reservations the day prior to arrive about an hour before the Suns game started and it was a piece of cake to get seated. Definitely call ahead as many were stuck out in the heat and most gave up that didn't have a reservation. The service, food, and atmosphere were awesome and we had a blast cheering on our Suns with the rest of the patrons. Thanks Majerle's!

I liked how friendly the staff is. The food was I big amount, great for sharing. Bar was clean, kitchen looked clean, and I noticed that the staff were super friendly with what seemed like frequent customers. The air conditioning inside was frosty lovely. The patio outside had misters that were blowing in the 110 degree air!

My group of 8 walked in and were greeted in a timely. Then it all went down from there. I got the wrong pop people got the wrong food we waited forever to get refills drinks came out before pops. Then what made it worse is their co2 canister kept making a noise it got louder and faster making conversations near impossible we were not happy food was decent

Went there to eat and ordered salads. As I started to eat, I noticed that the salad contained very few leafy sections and was made up of mostly the inedible sections of the lettuce- the ribs. The waitress explained that the restaurant was low on supplies and they were getting a delivery. I asked to speak with the manager. She showed up over 5 minutes later and displayed a negative attitude. She actually started arguing with me stating that everything on the plate was edible. She was rude, obnoxious and definitely in the wrong business since she can’t deal with customers.I was told that the owner AJ was not in the premises and that he would be in maybe in the morning. AJ if you see this, there is no excuse for your manager being so unprofessional.

Great quick lunch while we were at convention. Majerle's Sports Grill was established in Downtown Phoenix in 1992. Owner and Phoenix Suns legend Dan Majerle has grown Majerle's to 4 locations! Staff super nice, service really prompt, food accurately described from menu. Within walking distance of both Hyatt and convention center.

A fun bar to get a few beers and grub before a game. The food I had was good. I didn't have much so can really speak too much about the food. We sat at the bar and was greater promptly and were attended to quickly throughout the visit.

Ordered the chipotle garlic qings and they were extremely salty. Let the waitress know and she got me an order of hot buffalo wings and they were delicious. Went to watch football and the place qas packwd and jumping. Everyone got along and we had a lot of fun. Have to get used to people not wearing mask. But the atmosphere and food were great!

Stopped by with a friend to have lunch and look for a sports bar who carried the Pac-12 network to watch our local college football team's game. Had probably one of the best teriyaki chicken bowls I have ever had. The sauce was tremendous, chicken grilled to perfection and vegetables fresh and crispy. The manager also went the extra route to get us the Minnesota-Colorado game on one of their TV's. Definitely recommend stopping by Majerle's when in downtown Phoenix.

Majerles Majerles Majerles. Need I say more? They have it all. What do I want to start? Why even ask. Old school nachos. Chicken. And of course they are generous with the jalapeños. This place is special. Sacred. Beyond succulent. My lort Thunder Dan, you out did yourself. Can’t wait to have my name on the bar top. It may might take some time but Selma promised you could pull it off. Thanks so much for all the great time. Can’t wait to try the Sir Charles chicken pasta.

Went in to eat, drink and watch the SF Giants vs Dodgers game. Nice atmosphere, attentive and friendly service. They switched 2 TVs to the game for us. Food was good, not great, but the freshness was a big plus, as well as being able to get medium heat wings. Would definitely recommend as a cool place to hang out and catch a game.

Amazing! Words cannot describe how impressed I was with this food and service. Our waitress was the cutest ever and so sweet. We wen't there for my mom's birthday as a last minute decision and they were able to accommodate my vegetarian diet with probably one of the best meals I've has since I transitioned to vegetarian. The waitress then brought out a cookie skillet for dessert which was also delicious a must visit if your in Phoenix!

We were downtown going to the Herberger Theater and arrived early. A local Phoenix Ambassador on Second street highly recommended this restaurant. Parking is an issue, but we already parked free on the street after 5 PM. We were pleasantly surprised that we had no problem getting a seat even with the NCAA Regional games on television. We actually were able to eat and watch a game there. No rush to throw us out. Pleasant experience. Highly recommend this restaurant.

We went for a team lunch. Mind you there were probably 50 or more of us. The food was really good! I had the taco salad. My husband had the peanut butter and jelly burger. He loved it. Staff did a great job handing us and getting us out on time for such a massive group. Great place to eat! I would go back!!!

Stopped in for a bite to eat and was pleasantly surprised. Seated promptly and the air conditioning temperature was perfect. The restaurant was clean and tables were cleared in a very timely manner. Ordered the Washington Street burger medium rare with fries. The best burger I have eaten in a long time. The fries were spot on! Marissa, our server was awesome. I almost wanted to order another...the meal was that good. Hats off to the chef! Great customer service!!

Ordered a bacon burger and was very pleased with the taste. The 1/2 pound burgers are char grilled. The burger was juicy and full of flavor. Great choice if you're downtown and want a quick and tasty bite to eat.

Mediocre food. - No vegetarian options on the menu, cramped seating. To sum it up, greasy. The kitchen should be able to do so much better to serve such a nice looking restaurant with such a limited menu. Its a shame when the chef’s do such a disservice to such great servers. Beer was cold and fresh.

1st time here and not disappointed at all, the food was great! size & portion of food was just right. But the service could be a little better.

The atmosphere was good. The fam enjoyed it our waitress was deff a 5 star but the food was ok. Not that good for the price. My wings were very dry. Nachos wear soggy. But overall wasn’t bad besides the overpriced food. I’d give 5 stars just because our waitress was very nice and fast but the food was not it.

Solid sports bar located near the convention center, hotels, and ballpark/arena downtown. Expect this place to be busy (ran a 45 minute wait ahead of an event at Chase Field) but you can always grab a drink and hover while hoping a bar seat opens up. Loads of televisions and while I didn't eat the food looked good - your standard sports bar food. There's also an outdoor seating area where you can still view interior televisions. Definitely a solid option to quench your sports thirst.

This downtown pub is a basic sports bar with a small menu of the usual pub grub fare. The inside is bright and simple. There is patio seating on street-side for taking in some people watching while having beer & burger. The food was good enough. We tried the Reuben and some Chicken Tenders. The French fries were awesome. We had good service.

Food was so good. The service was quick. The place was clean. The location is convenient. We had fried jalapeño burger. It was delicious with a little quick of spiciness, not too much, just right. Taco salad was huge. Half bottom was filled with fresh romaine and the top half was filled with chicken, black beans, cheese, and stuff. It was served with west southern sauce. Beer was cold and good. Prices are regular for the downtown area, surrounded with hotels and convention centers.

Had dinner here. I had the reuben sandwich, it was great. A little crowded and loud so if you don’t want that eat outside. Food was good and reasonably priced. The food came quickly and service was great. I would go back.

We were looking for a casual night and found it at the Majerle’s Sport Bar. TV screens showing a plethora of sports surround the bar so no person in no seat cannot see. Carleigh, our server, was very good as she kept all our special orders correct and served our table at a great pace with a big smile. Food was good and desserts were better. Cold beer made for a good night.

Dan Majerle’s tastes as bad as his pro career. Great staff though.

  • 1/5 Joshua S. 3 years ago on Google
I really like Majerle's. I've been going there for years. But we're in the middle of a pandemic, people are dying, and Arizona is pretty much the new national epicenter. And none of the staff are even wearing masks. I mean, I get that wearing a mask is inconvenient. But we know it reduces transmission. So you've chosen comfort over the lives of your customers. There are a lot of restaurants downtown. And many of them are actually putting safeguards in place. Go to one of them. Don't reward bad behavior.

Used to go here in a weekly basis. Their boneless 4/10 times were still frozen in the middle. Their pricing adjustment is crazy, you never know what something will cost the next day. The burgers are good and everything is awesome when they prepare it just right. Some burgers are overly smoked and cause the runs. The people are awesome, but if food preparation was on point-we would all start going back again.

Pretty good "bar" type food. Taco Salad I had was fresh, and loaded with chicken. Good staff kept up with large group is what earned 4 stars.

  • 3/5 C K. 4 years ago on Google
Prices are decent, location is convenient to Sun's arena and convention center. Lots of TV screens with each game posted on the tv. Service was very slow - 7 minutes for our beers to get delivered and another four minutes for chips and salsa to arrive. Food tasted ok, but was barely warm by the time it made it to our table.
