Visited Arizona with family Great place to come with family and friends. Place has a great vibe about it. Very inviting.... Staff was friendly and attentive. Our server Peyton was friendly, helpful and engaging with everyone at our table. Place was very busy with limited staff like many other restaurants. Food choices were tasty and flavorful. Food portions were perfect for the price point. You won't go wrong stopping at Culinary Dropout to eat. Take friends and family... Enjoy the live music and great conversations. Make sure to ask for Peyton you won't be disappointed!!!

Went here on a whim and really enjoyed the experience!! It was SUPER busy on a Sunday night. We sat ourselves at the bar, ordered a drink and food. Everything came out pretty quickly considering the amount of people that were in the restaurant. Everything was delicious as well! Will be going back for the pork belly nachos

Dropped by the location of Culinary Dropout because we were looking for a restaurant to grab a quick bite and I'm glad we did. My boyfriend and I sat at the bar and the bartender was very nice, he made us a bomb custom grapefruit drink. We ordered the house chips which is always my go to for appetizers, it is so good and that dip that comes with it is to die for. For our meal we tried their chicken falafel wrap and it was really good, I will definitely try it again on my next visit. Food came out quick and delicious 😋. Thanks guys for the great food and service 😊👍

Great experience as always! My favorite thing I had tonight was the Room Service cocktail. It was simply delightful ! For dinner i ordered the chicken katsu sandwich and was extremely pleased. Flavors were great. Others in our party ordered the Mac burger and the fish and chips everyone enjoyed their meals.

My one and only complaint was that it was too loud because of an open environment, but it's also the thing I love about this place. I experienced the best customer service, we had an issue with an allergy, and they caught it right away and apologized like they truly meant it even though it was just a mix-up. I enjoyed the Iceberg wedge (gotta order double bacon because it is so fantastic) , Playboi Stache, and Evil Jungle Princess. My partner had the Pub Burger, and we shared the soft pretzels with Provolone Fondue. The valet parking was worth it its free, and you pay tip they are very friendly, and its hot so tip well! I highly recommend this as a date night early dinner. We have young twin boys, and this was the best adult time away we needed.

Went out last night for St. Paddy's day and chose Culinary Dropout. Not my first time, but it was my first time at this location. What drew me in were was the ambiance and nice lighting at night. When we got there it was packed, hard to find some parking and then once we went in, it was like a club. The music was so loud I could barely hear my partner. Our waiter was great though. We got a few drinks (definitely recommend the playboi stache) it was amazing. We also got some onion rings which were delicious too, thick and crunchy (I ask for a side of ranch). Then we got out entrees, I got the katsu chicken sandwich and my partner got the mac burger. My sandwich was delicious only downside was the bread was falling apart and they only give you a small handful of fries, my partner loved the burger he gave it 7/10. I would still go back when I'm in the mood for the atmosphere.

Tasty food. Good management. I picked up an order here and felt comfortable and safe as they were abiding by CDC guidelines for distancing.

We were looking for a place to celebrate a young lady's 21st birthday and we couldn't have chosen a better place. Our server, Wyatt, did a phenomenal job throughout the evening. What stood out even more was the precautions and the efforts made by the staff to make sure everyone was safe and comfortable. We were apprehensive about being out but we couldn't pass up the opportunity to celebrate her 21st birthday, everyone remembers their 21st! Culinary Dropout impressed us, the food was delicious and made it memorable! And the monkey bread as the Birthday dessert was great! Thank you to all the staff, you were magnificent!

Awesome experience, great food! Flavors off the charts! I had the M.A.C Burger and it was very flavorful and cooked perfectly. I also had the chicken wings with Buffalo sauce and honey mustard seed.... best wings ever! If you like cocktails try the Pom Yuzu Mule, great mix with bits of pomegranate! Would definitely recommend and return 👌🏽👍🏽👏🏽

This place met my expectations and Meagan was the cherry on the top. She recommended my drink, they cured meat, and my entree. And all of it was delicious. Even my friend I got the chicken falafel and wasn't going to get the sauce. Ended up eating every last bit of it. I definitely recommend you go here and sitting outside. I love the vibe, good time for anytime.

Gave this a 4 only due to the fact it's so loud you literally have to shout to talk to the person in front of and next to you. Other than that the vibe and people are awesome! Food is super good although depending on what you order it can send to be a bit on the salty side but other than that I would highly recommend. Been here twice and will be back. Hopefully will check out the outside area where all the games are

Easy system for reservations. The valet parking was nice, a lot of space, very different from the normal restaurants. Enjoyed the set up. However, our server did forget to put in our Pretzels and fondue. Apologized several times but was a missed opportunity. The Steak was excellent, the fried chicken was not to par, very under seasoned, for that price expected a great flavor to the chicken. Overall, maybe need to try other items. The monkey bread was the highlight. Will consider going back but not in a rush.

Great vibe, amazing service, good food. A fun place for dinner. Definitely get the pretzels with the fondue. I also realized I shouldn’t have ordered fried chicken in Arizona, not as good as what I’m used to but all the sides were delicious. Great draft beer, especially the IPAs.

Stopped by for dinner on the last night of our honeymoon. This place is MASSIVE. We sat in the outdoor patio area. The space was equipped with games, patio heaters, couches, and cute decor. Awesome menu that can be customized to your dietary needs/restrictions. I had the butternut squash ravioli and my husband had the steak frites. Both dishes exceeded our expectations! The staff...absolutely phenomenal. They ended up comping our appetizer, gave us a discount, and surprised us with a delicious dessert to celebrate the ending of such a special trip. You guys were the best. Thank you for making our last night so memorable! Culinary Dropout -please come to the Philly area!!!

This was our first time at this location. Everyone we encountered was nice and pleasant. The first table we sat at was dirty, food and stains on the table and seating. The second table we sat at was the same, but asked for the table to be wiped. The employee had to scrub to get the food and stains off of the table. We ordered the Valentine's Day Special for $85.00. The drinks we ordered were not on the restaurant's menu or the price. We did not know how much we were being charged for drinks until we got the bill. One of the plates that was brought to our table had hair on it. Both of our entrees were over cooked and burnt. My husband had his replaced and I did not bother with mine. When we got the check, the prices to total $85.00 were higher than the menu prices, which is wrong. By the time we got our check and paid, we were still waiting for his food and asked for it to be packed up to go. We were not offered complimentary meals and we paid for our meals, which was expensive. This is not a clean restaurant and our food was burnt. I do not recommend this location. I recommend that you go to one of the other locations. This was the worst Valentine's Day dinner experience. Do not go to this location.

What excellent outstanding customer service at this Culinary Dropout location! This restaurant values their customers. I dined in yesterday with my sister this time and we had such am awesome experience and the food was delicious. Fresh made soft pretzels and provolone fondue, cheap house salad with chicken, and beer battered fish & chips. It all was very very good. I especially enjoyed the beer battered fish that was so fresh and cooked to perfection. Thank you to Mandy, Amber, and Sam for making this dining experience exceptional.

I am not sure if it was just our waitress or if the overall experience was terrible. Our waitress was slow and keep disappearing. Several other tables received the drinks and food before us, even though we were seated first. The drinks were tasty. They were empty by the time we ordered our food as the service was slow. I ordered the M.A.C burger. It was dry lacked flavor. The amount of sides given was a joke. We were a table of 8, and needless to say, none of us finished our food as it was none of the dishes were great. I am not sure if it was just this location or if I just had different expectations, but it was not one of my favorites.

Unique and fun atmosphere with great food and fantastic staff! We highly recommend Culinary Dropout for food, drinks, hanging out with friends/family, or playing ping pong or corn hole. We can't say enough about the incredible staff! Christian, Bri, and Ryan were very attentive and took great care of us at the bar! They know every inch of their food and drink menus, made the perfect recommendations, and everything was delicious. Be sure to order the (giant) pretzel bites with the cheese fondue! We'll definitely be back!

I was very impressed with the food! Pretzels SO SOFT AND YUMMY! Crusty bread - I noticed everyone was ordering so I had to order it too. LOVED IT! Korean ribeye cap steak- WOW has a little kick, loved the mushrooms that it came with. Cooked and seasoned perfectly. Would definitely come back!

Fantastic place to hang out and watch the games ~ lots of TVs ~ all playing a different game. The food was excellent, only to be out done by this superior service ~ from the valet to our server. Manager made it a point of visiting each table and making sure everything was just right ~ nice touch and very friendly. Fantastic outdoor area that features, picnic tables, ping-pong, foosball and cornhole.

We love every time we come to culinary dropout. Do yourself a favor and start with the pretzel bites and fondue. I then ordered the Korean ribeye round cap- it was cooked perfectly and very tender. The Korean sauce that it comes with was fantastic. Two members of our party got the fried chicken and it did not disappoint either. The cocktails were also very good. We ordered an espresso martini and a sangria and both were very good.

Can't say enough, the food felt like it was prepared just for me down to the way they cooked the bacon. My burger was delicious, as were the pork belly nachos. I can't figure out what, but even the pickle had something special going on. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to anyone.

Great burgers. Excellent fries. And the prime rib dip was big enough for 2 meals. We ordered the house potato chips and dip and had enough for the 3 of us.

Great service and food was so good. Everything seems to be scratch made and very flavorful. this was my first visit but it is a favorite of my husband's and it lived up to the hype.

The atmosphere is very cool they have a large outdoor area that's fully enclosed with misters and fans. Good drink menu lots of cool beer options lots of IPAs different ciders and other offerings. The food is good but it's not the best in the valley. The burger was great but the burger at Hulas right up the road was just a little bit better. This is a fun place to hang out and definitely perfect for a special occasion or group outing (once covid ends and group outings are cool). Service was friendly but a bit slow we did wait a long time for the check. We didn't mind as we were enjoying hanging out.

Staff was exceptional. Really good hosting. Food was also great. Atmosphere is really the top thing here. Only downside was that every car had to valet which causes a huge backup. We sat in line for 10 minutes since there were only 2 or 3 valets.

This is one great place! I love coming here when I lived nearby! It was always upbeat and fun. We’ve tried almost everything on the menu and everything is very good! This most recent time I was able to try the brunch menu. I got the breakfast burrito, which was huge! It was covered in their provolone queso and made it extra yummy! We sat at the bar tho because we didn’t want to try and wait for a table and that worked out alright for us. However due to how extremely busy this place is getting the attention of a bar tender was extremely difficult. There was a time when we finally got a bartender to check up on us, I’d been waiting to order another drink, and when I did he filled up the water glasses and walked away without getting my drink. So then had to wait even longer. I will still return as I always have.

Company hosted an event here, pre-covid, for about 80 something people. Everything was wonderfully set up and the Culinary Dropout team made sure we had everything we needed. The food was great and plenty. The fried chicken everyone loved. Afterwards everyone was able to spend time and team bond. Cornhole, ping pong, shuffle board. Grab a beer at the bar.

Pictures looked good, reviews were good, and I heard good things, so my expectations may have been too high but I was not impressed at all. The pretzel bites tasted old and they all had a thick, crunchy crust on the bottoms. The shaved prime rib sandwich was decent but the au jus had no flavor whatsoever! Fries were very good though. Service was also spot on! Overall, a disappointing experience, but I was happy with the fries and service.

  • 1/5 Joseph B. 3 years ago on Google
Food and drinks are overpriced for greasy bar food and their was nothing special about the beers. They try and make the place seem 'glamorous' with their valet parking but don't get too excited. The strangest part about it was we were there in the evening and all of a sudden they started letting all these children in to play. We were playing Cornhole and there were dozens of kids running all over the playing area. I wasn't sure if we were possibly at Chuckie Cheese. We all agreed we would not return.

Food was medicore. Food wasn't served at the same time. Mine came cold. Sever didn't refill water once. Had to ask multiple times for the check. Server didn't check on us at all.

Just an aweful experience. The server was great and manager was helpful. I ordered their tiny Asian-style ribeye Med Rare... it came out Med well... i sent it back and the the next one came out Raw! It was the exact color of a seared Ahi Tuna.... the manager offered to provide food so I wouldn't be hungry but tried saying the first steak was medium. Having run kitchens from fine dining restaurant, banquets, steak houses and sports bars, my understanding of proper Temps for proteins is much better than the typical customer. My wife's drink was served with a bug in it, then the next one had hair in the cup. We didn't bother to get another one since my steak came out wrong for the second time. The staffs energy was great and the front of the house all seemed to work well together. Definitely a great atmosphere. The food was such a disappointment. Otherwise, the dining experience would have been great.

I love Culinary Dropout. When Someone visits Az and I want to show them a good time, I bring them here. The menu has a little bit of everything. The drinks are always cold and delicious. Always something tasty to try. I love to make my own Antipasto setup with meats, cheeses and some deviled eggs. I have never had a bad time at Culinary Droupout and I hope you don’t either. 11/10 would recommend. Also, don’t forget to invite me the next time you go.

The atmosphere is great. The food is yummy. I had a chicken salad and I really loved it. I have had the mac burger and it was good. I was expecting it to be very cheesy and it wasn't lol. Still taste though. The pretzels and cheese are great also. The pretzels are a little salty but it's a easy fix just dust off the salt. They have an outdoor are to eat,and toplay corn hole. They do have outdoor misters and fans to help with our Az heat. The fan and mist help but still was a little to uncomfortable for my mom!.

This is my favorite restaurant in Phoenix. I’m someone who always wants to try a new place but I crave food from here. I’m am very sad that they don’t have their Brussels spirits anymore -they were my favorite Brussels sprouts I have ever had. That being said the club sandwich, steak, fish and chips are all worth writing home about. The ambiance is incredible, staff friendly and warm, and the drinks are great.

  • 4/5 Ryan W. 3 years ago on Google
I wanted to love it. The space is fantastic. The patio and games are a magnificent attraction. The food and beverage for the price however is kinda silly. Ribs, fall of the bone! Fish and chips, overcooked and way overpriced. If I had one of these as a neighborhood hangout, I'd play and drink on their patio daily. Wouldn't eat there, however.

We stopped in on NYE after going to the symphony. We did not have a reservations so we sat at the bar, which was nice because we could talk vs. yelling across a table due to the music playing. We started with the homemade chips and dip, the chips crunchy and not greasy one bit, the dip tangy and strong tasting. I had the cobb salad, so full of yummy toppings there was little room for the lettuce. My bestie had the fish and chips, he finished a large portion of his fish but couldn't even finish the fries there were so many. The bartender wasn't the greatest server but the bar was busy which kept him busy. I would return.

Truthfully a really good chicken sandwich. Spicy tasty sauce, with really uniquely fried chicken and the bread was super soft. Small spot but they have some seats inside and when the manager, I'm guessing, saw I was looking at the football game he turned up the volume. Even hooked me up with a can of soda for free. Recommend!

Arrived shortly after 4pm on Tue 01/19. Was seated promptly as there were no clients. Took 10 min for anyone to speak to us. Finally hot to order a drink that took another 10 min. Food was finally dropped off. Was never asked if I wanted another drink or how my food was. Had to stop someone just to get a glass of water, another 10min wait. After finishing our meal the plates and silverware were left on table. We had to stop someone and ask to get our bill. During all of this time several of the staff were just standing around chatting. If you like average food with a lack of customer service, this is the place. Lots of other places that need and want the business.

Really loved this place! Huge patio, easy to social distance. The young lady who waited our table was so pleasant, knew her product, was timely with her visits. Homemade potato chips - sturdy enough to dip with, but not thick cut. Tomato bisque - traditional, delicious. My lunch companion devoured his meatloaf and mashed potatoes. Can't wait to come back!

A great experience from start to finish. Our server was friendly and attentive and, her recommendations were spot on. The wedge salad I ordered was amazing! I can't wait to go again and try the fish and chips my friend had. It look SO GOOD! Awesome atmosphere. Beautiful weather made the patio seating the perfect choice to enjoy our lunch. Once you try Culinary Dropout, there's a good chance it'll become your go to restaurant.

This place is an experience! It is chaotic and loud and a blast! It’s such a unique dining experience that everyone should try at least once. Definitely on the pricey side but absolutely worth it. An entree runs about thirteen to thirty dollars a plate. I would highly recommend the pretzel bites as an appetizer they were incredible.

Decent restaurant. Environment very welcoming. Very clean and you can tell they are taking precautions for COVID 19. Only let down was the food. Our waitress basically insisted we stray away from 2 items in menu due to some delay in kitchen. I ended up getting the ribs but they were really savory like too much salt. Other than that everything else was great. I may consider coming back to give benefit and to try something else.

We ordered our meal online for pick up. Got the Family Rib meal. Oh boy.. So much food ! 2 full racks of ribs that were so tender, moist, and flavor that had no end. No kidding. A huge pan of Mac & Cheese. A very nice, big dinner salad with (I believe their own) this Ranchy Caesary dressing. Very crispy mixed greens, colored carrot slices small tomatoes. Last part of this fabulous dinner was another huge pan of some of the best Coleslaw I've ever had. We did order a side of their Grilled Asparagus. (I did not put our order in) So I was surprised that it was cold. No big deal it was awesome. Nice light balsamic drizzle. This was a great first dinner of 2021. Hopefully we will all eat this good all year.

Love the food. The music is definitely geared for millenials...very loud. We went to dinner after Christmas Eve service and unfortunately the loud music really detracted from being able to relax, chat and enjoy dinner. We asked to have the music turned down, which they did, but it was still loud enough that we couldn't have a conversation. We were told the manager said they are only allowed to turn it down so far. Food was great as was the service.

We had a family dinner last night here and it was a pretty great experience we got seated fairly quickly, our server was super nice and she explained everything to us. Our food came out quickly and was delicious, flavorful. Even my picky eater 8 year old finished all his food which is rare! The place is great very big and open seems like a good place to come at night as well with friends

This place has some raves about their fried chicken, but this wasn’t it for me. And this is coming from someone who’s not from a “my state does fried chicken better,” I’m from California. They give you a humongous piece of breast among 2 other smaller pieces and the breast piece is incredibly dry and flavorless by the time you’re halfway through. The sides are fine, nothing special to write home about.

After some light bar hopping we needed a venue open up late with some tasty treats. We were still looking to have some fun and food with a combination of outside activities like corn hole and this venue was a shoe-in. We ended up ordering a round of green tea shots. They were crisp and prompt and exactly what we needed. I know this made be a little odd but one of my girls is addicted to ranch and asked to have a sample. Oddly enough she said it was the best dance ever so of course we had to order a side of fries to properly dip our ranch in. I ordered the steak fritas medium and was not disappointed. The pork belly nachos had a bit of a sweet flavor so if you don’t mind sweet meat melodies these nachos are a great choice to share with the table. In addition, we also ordered the fried chicken and even the breast was juicy and tender. I highly recommend the devil eggs they were super yummy and I’m not ashamed to say I did not share them 😆 I really appreciated the vibe Good music Lots of smiles Enthusiastic head nods and recognition for fun and people just looking to have a good time Check this place out You’ll have a great time

I was there with 2 other ladies and our food was delicious. Our server Ian was attentive. And your shift manager was awesome. She sat with us as we talked about having future events for our group there. We will definitely be back.

Solid and great atmosphere to hang out with a group. Wait staff was very busy on a mild-weathered Sunday afternoon, but that’s to be expected. Good eats and apps to snack on and good drink menu. Worth a try!

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The ambience was pretty and the food was pretty good. The highlight of my meal was the delicious cocktails. The bartender Samantha gave me excellent service. She was friendly, highly experienced and fast with my orders. Thank you so much Samantha! I will be back very soon.

A neat and tucked away well-known establishment suited for all sorts of occasions. Chloe and Marisa our waitresses were awesome at working with a large party. Great catering style pretzel bites, kayle salad and ribes prepared from the Kitchen mixed in with corn-holes made for a good time. Thanks CD & Fox

Pretzel with cheese was good and so were the desserts. The fried chicken was not my favorite. The butternut lasagne was really good according to my son.

I had a great time during happy hour. It was clean, friendly, and festive. The service was incredible had more than one bartender check in on me. The parking lot is quite large but get there before the valet service starts and street parking is limited.

Really enjoy this place and the food! Wish they had a bit more of variety of cocktails. The salmon bowl is my go to, we also got a prime rib dip that was tasty!

I had planned a dinner with my family which the atmosphere was fun but the sitting situation was uncomfortable considering we have 2 kids that need high chairs. We were sat in more of a lounge space with a couch and a large coffee table. Next time I think I’ll leave the kids. Food was good but if you’re trying to be cheap I wouldn’t recommend. The drinks were amazing as well.

Well kinda a hit and miss. The dipping bread appetizer was FABULOUS. Fish and chips JUST YUMMY!!! The chicken and biscuit with the egg on top....well, yuck for my poor husband and a guy who sat next to us and ordered the same. Don't suggest it at all. There was nothing we could do to fix it and the gravy was weird. Too much of some sort of spice. Great staff and great atmosphere and we brought our 4 month old German Shepherd and he was loved as well. I would for sure get the fish and chips again and bring your doggie 🐕‍🦺!
