Everything was delicious! The waitress was friendly and they helped celebrate my birthday. I got the bacon wrapped shrimp, some pork soup, short rib , and bread pudding. Perfect setting for a date too!

We love this place with its great food and friendly vibe. Whether it’s for a business lunch or Christmas Eve dinner, it’s a good option. Great happy hour menu, but get there early for a place to sit. Save room for their bread pudding dessert. It is fantastic. They have some patio seating, too.

Fantastic experience! One of the staples of Phoenix and everybody should at least visit Phenix City Grille! Food and service is top notch, plus they also allow you to purchase bottles of whiskey/bourbon from their private selection. Food was unbelievably good and always on point! Ordered a vegetable plate for the table to start. It was DELICIOUS. Also ordered the cornbread for the table. Several people LOVED it. It is spicy, some bites spicier than others. The half piece I had was plenty. Shrug ... Different tastes. ... I ordered the salmon dinner with coconut rice. The rice was blah. The salmon was pretty good, but not much better than what I make at home ... And less imaginative. Shrug ... I ordered wrong. Everyone else loved their food. Service was great!

Went to this place on a whim and fell in love! Service was knowledgeable and prompt. Food was delightful! And the owner was walking around greeting everyone. We struck up a conversation about the art which was exquisite, would definitely recommend.

I really have to applaud this place for customer service. Especially the waitress Samantha. I came in just after the kitchen closed and she spoke with the kitchen staff and was able to get me served. I really appreciated this because I’d been traveling all day and was starving. The food was great! The PCG pasta was awesome! The chicken was very tasty, really loved the sauce and the vegetables as well. They have very good looking pork tender loin, short ribs, and stir fry entrees as well. Definitely come by when you’re in Phoenix!

One of my favorite brunch spots in Phoenix. The corn griddled cakes are out of this world. Try them with chicken and get a side of ham and thank me later.

Fantastic dinner spot. They have something for everyone. They have dishes for gluten free people. The dishes were perfect and flavorful. The sides complemented the main course.

A wonderful dining experience. I had the Smoked Prosciutto wrapped Pork Tenderloin which was cooked to perfection served over baby green beans and fingerling potatoes with an amazing sauce both sweet and savory. With a few heirloom tomatoes on the side to add brightness, it was a very enjoyable meal. My wife had the Rose Lane Chicken, cooked skin on with tarragon and served with broccolini and garlic smashed potatoes and she raved about it: "I could eat a plate of just broccolini, it's cooked so well!" Portion sizes are just right. For dessert I had the bread pudding and my wife the strawberry cheesecake. The cheesecake was light and not overly sweet, and the bread pudding was excellent with a light sauce and smooth texture. My wife, who doesn't like bread pudding, changed her mind when tasting this. Service was excellent from host to busboy to server. The decor is appealing and elegant. Definitely a win for a date night dinner before a show.

Fantastic meal!! We came in kinda late and started with 2 apps. The corn cakes were fabulous and the fundito was great. We had 3 entries that were recommended. The stir fry, prosciutto wrapped park tenderloin, and the catch if the day. The catch of the day was grouper over green beans and a carrot puree....bombtastic! The pork tenderloin was awesome! The rice of the stir fry was beautiful and a great flavored dish. Of course I had to have dessert, the chocolate tort was perfect end to an awesome meal all the way. Thanks for good conversation and a fantastic meal!!

The Phoenix City Grille was excellent! I had the Alaskan Halibut special and the flavor was deep and rich.the potatoes and tomatoes were wonderful and the small apple pieces added a unique sweetness to the meal. I will definitely stop back in again and try more menu items.

First off, we came in with a party of 22 so they were very accommodating on short notice. I ordered the short rib which was delicious! Most other adults (12) were dissatisfied with their meals for one reason or another. My dad had the sea bass and enjoyed it as well. Service was pretty good so my overall experience was middle of the road! ✌🏾

Stopped in and had their steakhouse burger. Asked for it medium and it was a perfect medium, like i mean you could not have done better. The sauce on the burger was fantastic. Bartender was knowledgeable and most of all polite. Talked to the MOD and he was also extremely warm and friendly. I could not ask for more. They did an excellent job and should be proud of their service. - stay safe guys and much love from Portland.

My companion and I visited PCG on a belated birthday date night. We shared the full-sized short ribs entree, which was a very wise decision. The meat was falling-off-the-bone tender, and the accompanying mashed potatoes, frizzled Brussels sprouts, and parsnip chips were seriously on point! The addition of side salads was more than enough for the two of us. Word to the wise: Don't sleep on the house Old Fashioned and leave room for the buttermilk pie and brioche bread pudding, as they were all spectacular.

Service and food was perfection! Tonight my husband and I decided to go to Phoenix city grille for the first time and I’m so happy we did… I started out with the espresso martini but I changed it up a little bit because I’m picky and added vodka instead of bourbon. I told my server I wasn’t really a fan of bourbon so she suggested I added the vodka instead. (Great idea) Our waitress gave us amazing recommendations. We got everything that she suggested and it didn’t disappoint. Our waitress was very attentive and was always checking back on us to make sure we enjoyed everything. We started off with Uriel’s green chili pork and the yummy bacon shrimp. For dinner, we decided on the short ribs and prosciutto pork tenderloin and paired that with a bottle of wine our server also suggested. We were able to try a few different samples to make sure we got the perfect bottle. We had an amazing night. The food was so good we can’t wait to come back and try the rest of the menu. Thanks Tara for such an enjoyable date night. We needed it!

I have been here many times only Because I love 2 things on their menu and the last 6 to 7 times the experiences were all pretty bad. The younger , brunette waitress always makes us wait for a long time to finally order and doesn’t refill drinks in a timely fashion and takes also forever to get your bill and to check on you too. A Few years back the wait stuff was always phenomenal , friendly and sufficient !! My experiences were always exceptional . Lately though I keep getting this same Waitress therefore I am calling it quits now with this place. I may get an order to go here or there but I doubt it. My biggest pet peeve is poor service and lack of friendliness. I won’t be going back here. Unless they decide to get better wait staff again.

Phoenix City Grille has stayed open during the entirely of Covid so far which has been great on the nights I don't want to cook. They have added family style meals and they are so good. Same great quality. My family loved the Chipotle BBQ Chicken. The service was prompt and the wait staff was courteous as always.

Do yourself a favor, head on in and get the Short Rib. They have an amazing location, phenomenal Atmosphere and food that deserves to be shared with friends.

Food here is not consistent. Seems like maybe no chef in kitchen but probably basic cooks. They have the tendency to overcook the chicken and fish. But it is edible just not worth the price.

A Phoenix institution with an incredible bourbon selection. I had the hamburger for lunch that was a perfect choice. The bun was perfect. Bad buns ruin so many good burgers. Not the case here. Highly recommend and the service was great!

I met my sister and her husband for lunch at Phoenix City Grill a neighborhood restaurant that I have not dined at. It's very popular and was very busy for lunch so you may want to make reservations. They were decked out in Christmas regalia and offer a happy hour specials and a nice craft cocktail menu. I elected to try two small plates the Bacon Wrapped Shrimp filled with cotija cheese and served with a Chipotle aioli and the Crispy Short Rib served over a tepary bean puree glazed with a Korean barbecue glaze pickled Fresno chilies and chimichurri which was excellent. My Sister had the Salmon skewer and her husband tried the PCG pasta which they also enjoyed. The service was a little slow but in fairness I arrived about 15 minutes early before the rest of my party arrived. They are Covid-19 responsible and a good choice for the central corridor please support them.

I decided to try this restaurant last Sunday for lunch, and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal! The restaurant itself is classy and well-designed. The employees are very polite, which I think is the hallmark of the city's hospitality. If you're looking for good food, this is a great choice!

Came here for a quick bite and a refreshing beverage. The French 75 with gin is excellent and craft made by a wonderful bartender. The brussel sprouts (I know, but they're seriously good) were tender and the parsnip puree is a nice touch. The crispy short rib is AMAZING! The Fresno chili's pair perfectly with the Korean BBQ and lime chimichurri.. so good! They have a great brunch and don't forget about the muffin of the day.....zucchini is the best!

Excellent birthday date night. I put a note in my reservation asking to get a quiet booth if possible. We showed up 20 minutes late, they still accommodated us with a booth, AND provided a complimentary dessert of our choice. Our server was attentive and personable but never hovered. Wonderful service aside, the food is another 5 stars on its own. I got the burger, because I'm boring and I get the burger everywhere. But this one was spot on - juicy not messy, perfect bun/patty/toppings ratio, crispy bacon, and delicious crispy shoestring fries. Special shout out to the Korean BBQ sauce on the rib tip appetizer - the whole dish was delicious, but I still can't get over how good that sauce was. I asked if the kitchen would sell me a bottle, and I was denied. No problem, I fully intend on going back as soon as possible.

My meal was GREAT at the Phoenix City Grill last night!!! The pan seared Mahi Mahi with lentils, greens, and poblano sauce on special was so very, very tasty that I literally moaned “mmmmmm” after every bite! It was excellent! As a Pescatarian, I love when you have healthy options with your fish entrees, and this dish was not only healthy, but very tasty! I have never had lentils prepared so perfectly – still with a little crunch, and not mushy, so you can appreciate their flavor. I added a side of your fresh coleslaw (as I always have with fish) and an icy cold Aperol Spritz (that I was so pleased that Joselyn added a half shot of vodka to.) I was in flavor heaven!!! Thank you so much, Sheldon and team, for being so thoughtful and creative and consistent with providing a wonderful reason to get out of the house and come to the City Grill!!

We ate here on New Years Eve with a last minute reservation. When we arrived we were seated immediately, and the service was very quick despite it being such a busy night! The ambiance was very good, what you would expect from a bar and grill. I tried the pork chops and my boyfriend got the ribs. I also had one of their virgin mules to celebrate the new year, so refreshing and delicious! Try this place out if you’re in the area!

Been here several times for AZ Restaurant Week; their offerings are typically wonderful. Missed the mark just a bit with the creme bruleé, very little flavor in the custard. Everything else was splendid!

The atmosphere was wonderful. It was our first time coming here and we had heard nothing but good things. We started with the soup of the day, the clam chowder, which was delicious. Well seasoned and very rich in flavor. My husband got the short rib and myself the baby back ribs. The short was tender and satisfying. My ribs had a tad bit of spice and were tasty. The waitress , Tara, described the ribs as fall off the bone and they definitely were not that but still enjoyable. The only thing that took away from this experience was the waitress we had seemed very busy. Once waters were placed the only thing we heard from her was the questions of what we would like to order. There wasn't much personality and her presence can across as she had to hurry to get the next table for their order. She was pleasant and everything came out in a timely manner but with us spending close to $200, for 2 people and it being our first time, I was hoping for more service in asking if it was our first time, how are night was going, her recommendations, etc.

Had a really good time we went after my girlfriend's wedding and we margaritas appetizers and lunch for witch I order the short ribs mashed potato they was so buttery I really enjoyed them brussel sprouts I can't help it I am addicted to them trying to pull up the picture but I'm having problems but I'm still trying to get it I enjoyed it highly recommended

Came here for the first time today, and it was a pretty good experience. I ordered the asada tacos as well as the potato fingerling. Everything came out relatively quick and the waitress was SOOO kind and accommodating. What really made the experience great was how nice the waitress was and how engaging she was.

Went here for my birthday. I love everything about this restaurant. The ambiance is so invoting and calmimg. Our waitress was so nice and sweet. She was experienced and accommodating. The food was a little bland to me. We had the flank steak, medium well, and it came out medium rare and the chicken meal. No biggie, though, we were able to enjoy the experience anyway. Nice area, plenty of parking.
