This is a five-star BBQ! Love the ribs and brisket! They are juicy and soft, the ribs have a good flavor with the bones-just-come-off wonderful way to eat it. I like the brisket, they are yummy and delicious, perfectly cooked and smoked, with a beautiful brown color on the outside, tasty flavor inside. The sausage is also good, I like they put the jalapeño and cheddar cheese inside the sausage. The sides are also good, beans are good with meat! We went to the back to see how they do the smoke, it’s amazing they have all the professional BBQ equipments and woods, and the chef is very nice too, he chatted with us in a very interesting way and he is friendly to show us around! It’s very cool to watch all the BBQ in the grill. We will definitely come back again!

Bbq brisket was amazing. The turkey was also delicious. Place is clean. Staff could be a bit more enthusiastic or energetic as they all kinda seemed depressed to be there.

We were told this place was amazing and was a must go. 4 years later after hearing that we finally stopped by after visiting the Phoenix Zoo today. Wish we had gone sooner. To start the staff was friendly and amazing. And the one was a Yellowstone fan which was a plus. And the guy cutting the meat let us try a piece before buying. Thanks We ordered 2 sliced brisket sandwiches after tasting the brisket. The brisket was so juicy and melted in your mouth. Their homemade BBQ sauce is the perfect flavor. And if you like a little spice they offer one with more of kick but not overwhelming heat. We tried 3 of the sides. I had never had grits. But after having their Jalapeño cheese grits. I will definitely be having more. They were so good with perfect amount of jalapeño flavor and cheese. We also tried the ranch style beans. They were also really good. The other one we tried was the homemade potato salad. It is so good my wife and I trying to figure out how to make it for our own home bbq days. Anyway we will definitely be going back to try more of the other meats and order some sauces to take home.

I think I know why this place is so popular. It was a satisfying experience with all the dishes I had ordered, but the pork belly is a bit salty for my palette. The pecan pie is unique and crispy. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant.

Wow! My wife and I spent three and a half years in the heart of Texas and are used to some delicious and amazing BBQ. I’m an avid foodie and my wife just loves to eat, so we’ve got a list of places to go. Little Miss BBQ was on our list and I’ve been back for three days and it was our second food stop. My wife got the Pulled Brisket Sandwich with Potato Salad and I got the Jefe with Pulled Pork &Sausage with Coleslaw and Beans. Couldn’t have been more impressed getting quality BBQ iN Arizona. Both sandwich’s were juicy enough to not need extra sauce and the buns were soft but durable enough to last through the whole meal. The sides are also a plus, wasn’t disappointed. If you want quality BBQ and in Phoenix, than you need to add this to your list!

I had heard of Little Miss BBQ from fellow BBQ enthusiasts. They were right! This is an old school BBQ joint reminiscent of some of my favorite places in Texas. The brisket is as good as any I have had. The ribs were very good. Tender ribs and tender brisket with a right amount of smoke. Well worth the trip.

Everything I bought was the best. I ordered 2 plates Jalepino Cheddar Grits, Beef and Pork Ribs, Brisket, Sausage, Ranch Style Beans, and Cole Slaw. Little confusion on meat plates. Brisket plus Brisket or two meats. You can't have Beef Rib as one of the meats in a two meat plate. The folks behind the counter very friendly and have no problem adding a bit more meat for no extra cost and free samples. This BBQ will cost you a bit more than most other places. Be prepared to spend some money. I also bought their Pecan Pie. I haven't tasted it yet. Also, go before they open up, otherwise you could get stuck in line and not receive any food if they run out.

Small BBQ shed with great food and great people, who are proudly making awesome smoked meats. An absolutely non fancy place with a couple of tables inside and a larger outside area next to the big smokers and the small parking lot. People are willingly standing for an hour or more in line to get their food.

Went here for lunch recommended by a local. I can see why this place is really popular since I arrived 20 minute pass opening and the parking lot were a little full and several mins later the lot was full. The line queued up towards the outdoor seating area. By the line we were inside, the aroma of the food smelled really good. Definitely worth the wait but best to come when it opens or past the lunch rush.

The location that I visit is on University Dr. It is small and a line starts forming early at around 10:45. There are only a few tables (2-3) inside and picnic tables outside which can be hot in the summer. However, regardless of the lack of parking, the line outside the BBQ is amazing! If you do not get there early, you will miss out as they often sell out of brisket. There are other choices as well, sausage, turkey and pulled pork. This is no frills, just the basics. I am from Texas and I believe the owner is too. I can tell you having grown up on TX BBQ, I couldn't find any BBQ place here in Phoenix that I could go to and enjoy until Lil Miss BBQ. Few things to know. Closed on Mondays, evenings and weekends. I think they may have another location in town now that might be open. The one on University is mainly a lunch joint. Be prepared to fight for a parking place, stand in line and probably take it to go for lack of seating. But I promise you won't find better BBQ anywhere closer.

The BBQ is absolutely phenomenal! Some of the best I've ever had. They are not shy with their portions , they give you a great amount of food for the price. The service is so loving, that southern hospitality, they also give out free tasters at times, and when they have left overs they'll throw in an extra rib or a few slices of meat. The vibe here is awesome!!! Good food, good people, good times.

Background: I love BBQ and like to taste and review every chance I get. When I travel, I plan for at least 1 meal at a top level BBQ spot. Little Miss BBQ came with rave reviews and high recommendations. I would not put it at the top of places I've eaten, but it did not disappoint. Perhaps the thing that was unexpected was that every meat was perfectly cooked. That is a tough task at a place as busy as they are. Brisket: 9/10 Bark & tenderness were amazing. Flavor only an 8. Sausage: Jalapeno/cheddar: 9/10 Regular: 8/10 Turkey: 9/10 Pork Ribs: 5/10...as stated, perfectly cooked, but the taste just wasn't there for me. Ranch Beans: 10/10 Some of the best beans all around. Potato Salad: 6/10 Heavy on the onions, not as creamy as I like. Others in my group like it better. Jalapeno Grits: 9/10...If I were a grits fan they might be a 10. All in all, I would definitely go back. Total impression: 8.5/10

Good food, if pricey, but the last time I went for lunch I arrived at 11:30 thinking to beat the crowd and usual long line, but instead ended up standing in line for over 40 minutes while they filled some huge takeout order. Only near the end of this long wait did they mention the issue/problem with the delay. Will never go back.

The line was long (and I see why, the food is amazing) but it moved pretty fast. The ribs were very tender almost falling off the bone. The brisket was juicy and seasoned to perfection! The BBQ sauces are good, but there’s really no need to use them. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. This is my second visit to Phoenix and my second time coming here. Highly recommended!

OMG if you like smoked meats then you HAVE to try LMB, because they are the best around for sure!!! Go early because there is gonna be a line. Average wait is about an 45-75 minutes, which is about what you may wait at a bust restaurant for a dinner reservation. Once they run out of an item it's gone for the day so again make sure to go early to get your amazing BBQ SOOOOOO good

Absolutely amazing BBQ! Definitely in the top 3 that I’ve ever had. Seriously, it’s that good. The owner(I’m assuming) helped me get my young kiddos situated and so kind. The brisket is amazing, ribs are delightful, the jalapeño cheddar sausage is so good! The pecan pie is to die for. I don’t even like pecan pie and I wanted to go up and order another one. It’s. So. Good. There is limited seating indoors, but there is outdoor seating. It’s definitely worth driving out of your way for!! Tip: if you want first choice of meat, get there early.

The first time I tried to go I couldn't find a parking spot and finally got tired of circling the block for 30 minutes. This time we found a spot first pass. It was well worth the wait in line and I see why this place is mentioned in any list of the best places in the country. Jalapeno cheddar grits were on point.

Little Miss BBQ is the best in Phoenix! You need to go 11AM Thursday to try the pastrami. I have shared videos and pictures to show the meet. No complaints! The sides are good as well. Cheddar grits, potato salad, baked beans and much more! Highly recommend.

The best BBQ & smoked meat you’ll find! You must try the brisket and turkey, along with their pulled pork - it’s all amazing! Sure, this joint is a bit pricey but their smoked BBQ is unbeatable. The meat on the ribs fell off - couldn’t be more tender. Great food!

The friendliness of the staff, the quality of food and overall laid back atmosphere earn Little Miss BBQ a 5. The line was out the door (roughly 8 people deep), which is generally a good sign. They also had a outdoor sections with decent size meat smokers that smelled delicious as soon as you got out of the car. Homemade sides and some of the most tender ribs I've ever had.

I was planning on rating everything we got individually but honestly, everything was phenomenal. I don’t love red meat too much so my husband loved the sliced brisket more but the Turkey was my favorite. It was melt in your mouth tender and moist. For even smoked Turkey, that’s special. I took a picture of everything and how much it costs us. We made the mistake of ordering 3lbs for two adults and a two year old. If it’s just 2-3 of you I recommend ordering the plata instead of by the pound because we paid $130 for really just my husband and myself which was our mistake we should have asked. I also want to note that this place has had the best potato salad I’ve ever had so far. It has a nice kick to it from the spice they put. If you’re thinking of stopping by, don’t second guess it. I promise it’s worth it!

This was not really disappointing, but didn't live up to expectations. We ordered a variety including brisket, pulled pork, and ribs. All were good. But, in my opinion, Joe's BBQ pulled pork was better. Dave's BBQ ribs were better. Rudy's BBQ brisket was better. Each place has their strengths. Joe's brisket is just OK, for example. Dave's chopped pork is just OK. But I can't put Little Miss BBQ at the top of any category. Overall they were pretty good. I'm not saying they are bad. They just aren't great at any one thing. I will say their grits were nice. And their beans were enough different that I can't say Joe's or theirs is better. Both are excellent, and better than (for example) Dave's. Especially for the prices they charge, I would not make a point of coming here. If I want pulled pork, I'll go to Joe's.

FOR SURE, that was the finest BBQ I've ever eaten. I had the brisket and sausage platter, and both were delicious. To be honest, the brisket was even better. I never imagined that one of these life-changing meats would be served on a paper plate with potato salad.

Little Miss BBQ is located on University Drive south of Sky Harbor Airport. If I refer to the restaurant as cozy, it does not refer to the very simple furnishing with party benches and garden chairs, but to the special atmosphere that prevails here. Although the restaurant is only open four days a week (Wednesday to Saturday 11:00-16:00), the first-time visitor also gets the feeling that he knows everyone here and vice versa. I give a star deduction because of the often limited parking situation and the recently increased prices by 22-30% (thanks to Biden!!).

I lived in the South for 6 years. Also still travel their weekly for both work and pleasure. So I love great BBQ. If you're looking for sold spot in Phoenix, Little Miss BBQ delivers! The food is fantastic as are the various sauce options. I especially recommend the brisket, pulled pork, or pork ribs for your meat selection. The portion sizes can be hefty, so the food is best enjoyed with a friend. The service has always been great, and the staff super kinds. The only downside was the wait. But they supply water and keep you cool with their misting system in the meantime. If you're in need of a great BBQ place near the airport, I highly recommend you try this place.

Absolutely fantastic. Free million dollar smells the minute you step out of your vehicle. You will probably stand in line for a bit, but it is absolutely worth it. I had the sliced brisket sandwich, effe....couldn't even talk because I was shoveling it in. Great beans and potato salad. If you are a bbq fan and you haven't already been here, you have to give it a go. Limited seating inside, several tables outside. Excellent.

Listen. Second visit to take my gf in to what is easily the best BBQ in Arizona. We got the family pack to have some extra and when I say the reheat is still better than any bbq you point me to. I was excited and ruined a photo. But I have now tried the slice brisket (both lean and fatty), Pulled Pork, The Beef ribs, The grits, the beans. Still have the pudding and Pecan pie to try at home. Listen all 10/10. Amazing.

  • 5/5 Thoj L. 10 months ago on Google
The barbeque food definitely hits the spot. My favorite was the beef rib and the brisket; the sausage was not as flavorful. Parking was somewhat limited but people are constantly done eating and leaving so its not much of an issue. Limited tables indoors to eat but there are several tables to eat in the rear. Friendly staff and the vibe was just right.

I got the chopped brisket with beans and coleslaw. The meats were excellent and everything is cut to order. You can even pick your cuts. We were even offered to taste other offerings. This place is legit. Staff is super friendly and helpful. My only gripe. No beer

So so good. Probably the best barbecue I've had in Phoenix (or anywhere). Waiting in line is never fun but it's fun when the food tastes as good as it does. Go here if you're even slightly interested or like barbecue. The staff was nice and the place smells amazing.

  • 4/5 Nick A. 4 years ago on Google
They get five stars for the food because it’s absolutely amazing. They get three stars for location, parking, and accessibility. That’s why it’s an even four. The people there are pretty amazing and definitely know how to cook up some grub. It’s just so hard to get in there because they are so popular. I guess popularity isn’t a bad thing, but I liked it when you guys first opened and no one really knew about you.

STILL putting out some of the best central Texas BBQ in Arizona! BIG "Shout Out" to Quentin (sp) as friendly and he still remembered me from my visits before. Waiting in line was actually enjoyable, as the girl behind me and I passed the time talking about BBQ. We both were wanting a beef rib really bad, and as it ended up, we bought the last two they had! How cool is that?! This original location at University is Highly recommended! (Hey Scott... my brisket and beef ribs are STILL better than yours!) Ha ha!

  • 4/5 Daniel L. 1 year ago on Google
Overall the meat is good, especially the ribs and turkey. The pitmaster does need to lay off the salt. The salt flavor is definitely a bit overwhelming. The brisket and pork left a lot to be desired and is not ordering. The beans, coleslaw and potato salad also leave a lot to be desired. The beans especially are undercooked and bland. However grits are really good.

  • 5/5 Ulysses F. 7 months ago on Google
It's worth all the hype. The brisket was exactly what I've been craving and trying to find around here. It's a bit on the pricey side. My picture reflects $250+ (meat, 1 side, 2 drinks, 2 desserts). However, I took a good amount home. We arrived 15 minutes before opening, and there were 10 people in line already. All team members were very nice and the guy cutting meat made the pricess a lot easier. Minimal seating inside, so be prepared for summer heat if you sit outside. I will most likely be making it a monthly visit and recommend it to everyone.

  • 5/5 Yuchen W. 3 months ago on Google New
Had an incredible BBQ experience in Phoenix! The brisket and pork ribs were exceptionally delicious, leaving me with a craving for more. Unfortunately, the beef ribs special was sold out in just one hour—clearly a hot commodity. Be prepared to wait in line for a bit, but trust me, it's absolutely worth it for the mouthwatering flavors and quality barbecue. A must-try spot for BBQ enthusiasts!

  • 4/5 Marios K. 9 months ago on Google
The bbq was good. Brisket and ribs were very tasty. The beans we Jit that good and I don't understand why grits are Soo popular. All I tastes is the cheese and jalapeno. Pullwd pork was decent. Smoked Pecan pie was good

Finally, "REAL" Texas BBQ has come to the Valley. As a certified BBQ judge with KCBS, I am very particular about my BBQ. This is a must-stop place! Do not leave without ordering the brisket. The brisket was moist with bark that was packed with flavor and just the right amount of smoke. No sauce needed! Ribs are the best in town. I can't wait to get back to do the beef ribs on a Friday or Saturday, but if they are anything like the ones they served down at the Farmer's Market, it will be my favorite of the bunch.

I do not like their concept at all. Slooow moving line and you won't know what's still available until you get to the front. No ribs, pulled pork, and sausage when I got to the front of the line just turkey but then again turkey is not really BBQ. Went there 2 hrs into their opening at 1300 on a tuesday and they were out of almost everything. How do you not smoke enough ribs for the whole day? That amazes me never heard of such a business strategy. It's not that difficult. A lot of lost business. So disappointed. I came from Chicago to try their ribs and pulled pork heard "the best bbq in Phoenix". Only had the brisket. It was pretty good tender, moist and that smokey flavor overall very good brisket. But then again I don't care much for brisket. Ribs is what I wanted to try here. Slaw and beans here need to improve sorry my honest opinion. I did not like either at all. Is this the best place for bbq in Phoenix really? I won't be back I don't want to wait 1.5 hr in line again and not get what I want. Now employees and service is very friendly here. Tennessee bbq remains my all time favorite hands down.

Some of the best fatty brisket I've ever had! Super highly recommended. I would really recommend you get there around 1030 if you don't want to wait or run the risk of them running out of the type of food you want.

Went in with my friends to see what all the hype was about and I was blown away. You get in line and they're giving out free samples, they have Mike making friends with every single guest in line. The workers are extremely friendly and professional. There's plenty of choices of meat and they make it easy to mix and match. They have the best grits I've EVER had. All the meats had so much flavor. It is honestly some of the best food I've had in my life.

Little Miss BBQ is in a weird location. It's close to what looks like industrial junkyards and there are a few seedy strip clubs. But get over it and go get some BBQ because this place is serving up some serious meat!

Tried Little Miss BBQ yesterday did take out. We got the last 2 beef ribs of the day. They would be able to compete with Black's or Mueller's barbecue in Texas. Though not as fatty or rich but the flavor was still good @ $22.50Lb.

I called to place my order on re-opening day, phone was busy for about 5 minutes-finally got thru - placed my order- they said 25 to 30 minutes - went to pick up - 3 people a head of me - wait was not that long - got my food order - went home - food continues to be delicious!!! I did notice that portions are not as generous as previously but I really missed my dry fried food. I got the dry fried chicken, dry fried fish and dry fried tofu!!! Tasty and delicious!!! The brisket was good the sausage was good and the Turkey was very moist. The sides are also good. The staff was awesome and the barbecue pits were awesome.

Easily the best BBQ in Phoenix. They feed you a little sausage snack while you wait. Get there early though line gets long.

Best brisket I've had in years. Worth the wait and the lineup system is refined and well explained. Good job!

Everything is so good I've considered going back to Phoenix just to get some more of it. You can't get anything bad

The line is worth the wait. We got there right when they opened and had to wait in line about 10 minutes. The brisket is awesome and the jalapeño cheese grits are to die for. We weren't as wild about the beans. The smoked pecan pie was pretty good as well. Worth going out of your way for this place.
