Stayed
here
with
the
wife
for
six
nights
on
Vacation
in
October.
First
time
here.
This
hotel
is
located
in
North
Phoenix,
about
a
half
hour
drive
from
Sky
Harbor
airport.
We
were
very
early
for
check-in
and
our
room
was
not
ready,
but
we
were
able
to
change
at
the
spa
and
sat
by
the
spa
pool
until
our
room
was
ready.
We
paid
extra
to
get
a
Griffin
Club
room
and
found
this
upgrade
to
be
well
worth
it.
I
can't
say
enough
great
things
about
the
staff
at
the
Griffin
Club.
They
are
wonderful.
The
food
at
the
Griffin
Club
was
good,
especially
the
breakfasts
and
the
evening
hors
d'oeuvres
and
drinks.
Our
room
was
nice,
but
nothing
special.
The
hotel
is
very
large
and
has
multiple
swimming
pools,
a
lazy
river,
and
a
big
water
slide.
We
never
had
any
difficulty
finding
lounge
chairs,
and
we
did
not
feel
the
need
to
pay
extra
for
a
reserved
lounge
chair
spot.
The
Griffin
Club
got
us
access
to
the
spa
facilities,
and
we
took
advantage
by
sitting
at
the
much
quieter,
adults
only
spa
pool
on
two
afternoons.
The
wife
got
two
spa
treatments
-
she
really
liked
the
massage.
I
liked
the
steam
room
at
the
spa.
The
gym
is
clean
and
modern
with
lots
of
equipment,
including
Peloton
bikes.
My
wife
played
pickleball
and
had
a
good
time.
The
courts
are
beautiful.
The
Tia
Carmen
restaurant
was
excellent
-
highly
recommend
the
flan.
Overall,
this
is
a
great
hotel
and
we
enjoyed
our
stay.
We
have
stayed
at
the
Phoenician
a
few
times
and
while
we
liked
the
JW,
I
would
say
the
Phoenician
is
a
bit
more
luxurious
than
the
JW.
And
I
prefer
the
Phoenician's
proximity
to
Old
Town
Scottsdale.
On
the
other
hand,
the
JW
has
a
club
lounge
(Griffin
Club),
which
is
a
big
plus.
