good food but they have missed items in my 2 times ordering there. Today I received nachos with no cheese….. make it make sense…. but I paid extra because I love their queso and I just got just tortilla chips with meat on top. See pic of sad dry nachos. Last time they forgot tortilla chips for the queso I ordered….. they also forgot their house sauce I paid extra for and it was cold as hell. TL;dr don’t do delivery

I’ve gone to this cafe Rio location for over 6 years and I’ve consistently had bad experiences the last 2 years. This time my order of to-go chips, guac and salsa ended up being old discolored guac and instead of the salsa for chips they gave me the green enchilada sauce. I’d like to support them. Please get better management.

This place blows Chipotle out of the water. They have so many options!!! You can see them making everything there! I had the nachos and their queso is so tasty! Also, if you download their app you get amazing discounts. My friend payed for my food just to get ten dollars back because it was triple points day. They have really good jamaica (Mexican Kool aid imo) with a hint of lime in it and just the right amount of sweetness. If you like Chipotle, stop going there and go to Cafe Rio

I’m sorry, but I’ve never had such a bad experience as today. We have never been denied extra salsa at this place. I come here a lot and the girl serving the food, was super rude. Please do better.

Get rewarded at Café Rio for having great taste! Order food, scan your app, earn points and repeat for free meals, snacks and deserts. Try one of the craft scratch, chef masterpieces such as their sweet pork, burritos and nachos, or carne asada or chicken bathed in their signature queso and tomatillo dressing. Some of the Employees there are always in a bad mood not sure if they don't like the job or what but it seems they are doing you a favor and not working. This lady scolded me for asking to put more meat because she put three pieces of meat and I thought it was not ok since I'm paying more than $15 dollars for a burrito ... If I wanted only rice and beans I would it said so, any way she put a few more and said it was double meat and charge for it! What!! That's insane, I should of walk out when the rice and beans started to fill the whole burrito. Almost $20 dollar burrito for rice and beans unbelievable. I think whole foods just around the corner has better deals on their kitchen and better quality food.

I’ve been to many cafe rios and this one by far was one of the better locations in terms of service, food quality, and cleanliness. I ordered what I always order but I could notice that it was better than usual. First time trying the tres letche cackle desert they have as well which was actually really good.

Food had great authentic Mexican flavor and big filling portions. Service ok friendly and polite, atmosphere plain, clean just ok. Had a patio, which I liked so I could take my dog with me.

Ordered online for curbside. I had to call the store to request no ice in my drink since there isn’t an option on the app. Ordered a tostada with a flour tortilla and double rice. What I received was a soda with ice, tostada with a soggy corn tortilla, half the rice. Will this affect my day, nah. Will I order again during the lunch time, def not. It was a clear order and possibly the employees were too busy to read my actual order. Meh.

Food is always good. Portions are large, which makes the price reasonable. The service is okay, it always seems to be very busy and sometimes the dining area gets dirty. Additionally the trash needs to be emptied more frequently.

Okay I've been asking you this again. Sure why not. I normally the old school traditional like place a phone call speak to the manager type. And unfortunately because of a couple of disappointing screw UPS I may do so. But I guess I'll post on here why not. So when in the neighborhood I prefer to come to this location 95% of the time. There is one location probably just a little bit closer to my home but the kind of work I do has to be traveling around the city. So I'll go to whatever whatever location is nearest. This one in the Biltmore area on Camelback is the best normally. Completely totally very respectfully to the management at this location I say normally. I appear to have had service provided by three different individuals which I guess if in a lot of the modern restaurant setups is the way they do things. However the first man that greeted me and Anthony what I wanted moved on to so obviously serving or prepping food for other people that walk in with their little phones and deliver things for people that bugs me. Then the second individual that ended up helping with most of my food except for the man at the end who checked me out the second individual I had way too much trouble having to be understood or repeat myself which I tend to think of the combination of the fact that I am a bit self-spoken the high glass and the fact that the young lady at the end who was making the tortillas had a good bit of high volume music going. So it was difficult for me to communicate. I even think I made a crack about that and there was no hesitation there was no response given to oh I'm sorry will turn the music down a little. Now that said the reason that music was a bit loud and I feel as though attention by this second individual that did most of my food did not pay proper attention or did not seem to have had enough experience normally when you're getting your metal excuse me foil trays of tacos or quesadilla we are asked if we would like anything extras I tell him what I do and don't want unfortunately tonight I let them know I wanted yes the rice and the beans and a side Bowl together this has been no problem in the past tonight I got home and I had no rice or no beans also I expressed to the gentleman in the beginning that I wanted to have my tacos and my kids there prepped with wheat tortillas when I got home I had a wheat tortilla for the quesadilla but not for the tacos. Also the one gentleman appeared to be incredibly inexperienced on how to make the guacamole dip in which most locations are familiar with mixing the guacamole the Salsa Fresca and the cheese together I don't know whether this is just not a commonly ordered item anymore or whether most individuals are not properly trained on it in the beginning I almost feel uncomfortable or as though it's not my place to be advising employees how to make something that I have always presumed they knew how to make I end by saying once again I will have no hesitation coming back to this location it is still nine times out of 10 the best place to go. I just think a few things may need to be addressed.

We had a large order and I happened to be odd woman out. I brought the receipt and the staff remade my order. It tasted even better knowing that I didn't have to scarf it down during a 30-minute lunchbreak. I ordered the enchilada and the sauce was quite flavorful. The beans were good as well.

I love Cafe Rio. When we moved, I was pleasantly surprised that we now lived even closer to one. I stopped in the other night (Tuesday) get my usual chicken salad with their amazing tomatillo ranch dressing. I had never had one of their tacos so I ordered one of those too (amazing!). I also had 2 coupons for free tres leches as well (my FAVE). At checkout was told that they would have to make the whipped cream for the desserts and that it would take about 5 minutes. I said that was fine and that I would sit and enjoy the taco and it should be about perfect timing. It was 25 minutes later when I stepped up to the counter to ask what was up, which isn't great from a service standpoint, but it still won't detour me from visiting again.

The food was delicious, as always, and the employees were all really friendly too. We went close to closing time and we didn't get any laser eyes, so that's always a plus too

Unsanitary issues telling their mobile drivers to make the customer drinks, these cups are open and not sealed. Food is sitting in a room temp are without eat for over 30 minutes. Unpaid wage with wait times 10 minutes or more. DOL violations. This needs to stop. It's one dollar per minute wait time. The order was small already and not worth the 2.50 bucks for 10 miles.

Be prepared for a wait at noon. This place gets busy, but it's worth it. The food is great and their pollo asada is awesome.

The flavor of the meats and sauces were excellent. The veggies were fresh. The servers were outgoing and friendly. I hadn't been in 15 years or so and usually that's because I didn't care for the meal but I just hadn't spent any time in Tempe for a while. I tried the location on Camelback today and realized how good the food was. I'll definitely be back soon. I've been missing out.

I used to go to the location at tempe by asu. Sadly it closed. When I found out there was one on camelback I started coming here for taco Tuesday. Food is spot on and the staff is very friendly. I do admit it is a hit or miss when it's rush hour during taco Tuesday. Would totally recommend coming here.

DO NOT COME HERE. Stood in line for 15 minutes with only 5 people in front of me when I walked in at 630pm. Finally time to order and they have no rice or steak, the two things I want in my overpriced $17 burrito. The staff was rude and do not care. I’ve never reviewed anything before but this was so frustrating I had to write this one.

Good food, reasonable prices (similar to chipotle), better quality of meat a less fat on the beef. Restaurant is clean. They do need a better system of selecting what you want. 3 people often help build your item and they ship over things, and it gets backlogged. Seems it would work better if one person helped you and they did the whole thing for each person.
