Place is clean, prices are reasonable and staff was friendly, however food was bad this time. Water had a “sewer” smell, Menudo was all hominy and the little meat was overcooked. Machaca had big chunks of skin. Staff was friendly when I voiced my concerns and I did get a refund. I would give this place a second chance to see if they fixed their food quality issues.

I was and still am beyond happy we found this restaurant. It was the last stop before leaving AZ and I cannot stop talking about the food. I ordered the corn and chili tamales and they were so delicious. It also came with beans, rice, chips and a salad. Very filling. My cousin ordered fresh tortillas with chorizo and a burrito. After she took a bite she looked at me and said "you have to get a burrito. Whenever you go to a restaurant and see 'fresh tortillas' you get them". With that bring said,, I ordered a chicken burrito to go. I took one bite to taste it fresh and it was 🤤🤤. I was too full to eat it that day so I had it a couple of days later and it still tasted amazing!! Must try restaurant, that is on my list for when I return to Arizona. Do not let your taste buds miss out!! Also, the decor is beautiful and the staff is friendly.

Food was horrible, total waste of money. The beef on the burrito was super hard, no clue what kind of beef they use. My hopes were with the green & cheese tamal but nope… they used the batter that is for sweet tamales. The coca cola I had there was good. Don’t waste your money on the food.

Waited super long for food to be served Worst mexican food I had ever had since I moved out here. The place is over hyped. They served canned beans, the chilaquiles have no flavor, I believe sauce is canned also. Never experience so much disappointment. I should of gone to del taco.

This is the second time I came here and my order was below par. I decided to give it a second time. I ordered a cheese quesadilla with carne asada (they didn’t have any) so I got it with machaca. My quesadilla hardly had any cheese in it and the one slice that did was not even melted. This was a sad disappointment.

The food wasn't good, I asked for an asada chimichanga and wasn't asada it was more like steak. The salsa w Tested just like tomato. I don't recommend this place if you are looking for authentic Mexican food.

I had the opportunity to connect with the new owner on my visit 7/30/22 soon after open. She was helpful and pointed out the freshest pastries. The owner was proud to have retained the entire staff, the wholesale bakery operation, and even maintained the restaurant's menu and specials. She shared her passion for making Cocina Adamex the all day destination for pastries and family dining. There are now extended hours and Sunday hours! I will continue visiting this store.

This took Me back to elpaso. Finally some really good food. This is chihuahuan style food and great food that is. We had the machaca burritos and I could finally smile knowing we found our mexican place 😍 the menudo made me think of my grandma's menudo and the pan dulce was so soft. I'm very happy I found you.

The XL conchas is what brought us here & caught our attention. Make sure you pre-order a day before for the XL conchas, we didn't know this. They have a panaderia with a good variety of pan dulce. The restaurant serves Mexican dishes for breakfast & lunch. Pictured is menudo & Carne asada torta. Chocolate abuelita is really good. Place gets pretty packed but, line moves quickly. Everyone is really nice. The waiter was able to score us an XL concha so that was nice.

Maybe the pastries are good? This is the worst breakfast burrito I’ve ever had. There is no option for green sauce and the red sauce taste like marinara and isn’t spicy. I thought it was cute they gave me some free chips but in the end it was just a few crumbs. The burrito itself….my god they aren’t kidding when they say bacon and egg, that’s literally all it is. A few eggs, and one slice of bacon. The tortilla takes up most of the burrito.

Beautiful café and bakery. The baked goods are done daily as well as fresh tortillas. The pan dulce is moist and won't dry out the mouth. The staff is friendly, even tho we went real close to the closing time they were very happy to have us, unfortunately their café was being cleaned we were kot able to have a meal, but I will be back and update this review.

Azteca Bakery and Mexican food is very good. number 11 on the menu unbelievable. That's a chimichanga beans chips and hot sauce. If you like hot sauce this is the place to get the best hot sauce in the downtown area. They sell it individually. And you get sour cream

First time here. We had the Red Chile Con Carne and Carne Asada Burrito, they were both excellent. Nice portions and authentic Mexican food. The staff person was extremely helpful and friendly. Clean, open seating. Went back this morning for a breakfast burrito.

When I tell you...thus was the best Mexican breakfast I've had here in America. It was the best AND INEXPENSIVE! Eggs were fluffy, bacon made to perfection, refried beans no over done. Next time in Arizona, I Will definitely be all up in there. Bought 3 of their bakery items and...they were gone within the day. 😩. Food was so good, my self control lost out that that day

My husband took me to try this place out and i really enjoyed their food, service , and atmosphere. Very clean kept and food was filled with good flavor and great presentation. I was only disappointed in the tamales they were dry and meat also. Other than that we were very happy with our purchase. Will be recommending to family and friends ❤️

Saw this place on IG because of their giant conchas. Stopped by for breakfast and to take 2 conchas home. Had to wait 30 minutes to get my food which seemed like I got a crumbled up half piece of bacon. Not a big deal on the food, but the conchas made it to El Paso and are DELICIOUS!

This place has very good energy. It’s a good atmosphere for delicious food. I am an avid Mexican food eater, I love trying new places. most places I’ve tried were good, but I still wanted to try something new…. HOWEVER, after eating here; I WILL DEFINITELY COME BACK AGAIN AND AGAIN!!! What made it even more better is they bake bread too!!! Fresh bread is what makes Mexican food superb! I met the owner today, and I was astonished on how well she treated me. I’ve had bad experiences in the past, but this place made me feel so welcome, appreciated, and I felt like family. It was definitely a good change from the hussle and bussel and it was just a breath of fresh air. I’ve always passed this place, and and wondered if they were open and they are!!! AND THEY ARE OPEN LATE NOW!!!! I am so happy I got good food, good vibes, and it just made the food so much better. I got some empanadas and they were soooooo good. Wow.. I have big hands so if the empanadas look big then they probably will surprise on how truly big they are. So good…. Mmmh!

The food was good, the atmosphere was great. Parking was not convenient. They have definitely outgrown the location. We spent almost an hour in line, and then another hour waiting on food. Once we got our food, it was good. I do have to say the bread is amazing. Pink cookies are the best, the conchas and empanadas are right behind. 😋 😋 Not to mention the XXL coffee next time, definitely hot chocolate

I am personally very dissatisfied with this restaurant. I called earlier in the day, asking about their conchas and I was told I could call, place an order and just let them know around what time I would be picking it up and that it would be no issue so I live about two hours away from this place and I’m driving up I called to let them know I would like to place an order and I’m told they completely different story that they are no longer available for the day after I had just called 2 hours earlier saying that they were available. Not only did we not even get a chance to try them after being very excited, but we also wasted gas for nothing.

Saw this place on the news. First time here and it was total chaos! No Parking at all and had to park 2 blocks over. Over 1 hour wait for 2 burritos that were very bland in taste. Bakery items were ok but the area is very small. The restaurant needs better organization! Also, put some spice in the food!!! Ill go back for the bakery but the food will not be my 1st option....

I guess they listened to the yelp reviews. The main complaint was the size of the burrito and it has gotten bigger. This place is the closest to Taco places in Los Angeles in La Crescenta.

Heard about this place on social media and could not wait to get XL concha!! We ate breakfast since we were there and were glad we did, we ordered a papa's con Chorizo burrito and menudo...both were delicious and the tortillas were delicious!! The tortillas had such a homemade feel and taste, reminded me of when my grandmother would make them at home. A definite must try! (The XL concha needs to be pre-ordered)

This place is amazing! Great family owned restaurant and bakery in the heart of phoenix, offering delicious Mexican food, fresh baked Mexican pan dulce and flour tortillas made fresh daily. The place is clean and theres plenty of seating indoors. It's not a huge menu but food is always delicious and the staff is always friendly. I'd rather go to a place that keeps the menu simple but always makes sure the food is great because they specialize in what they serve. Definitely recommend stopping by this place.

Don't call this a comeback! Instead let's say WHAT THE WHAT? New ownership has made this f8v, one of my favorite places for having a meal. Way to go C.A! The food (green burrito and beef taco) was delicious and the atmosphere is exactly what was needed. No more attitude at the counter and now I feel like a wanted customer and not a "my fault for coming here" customer. Thank you and keep with the good. See you again and again...

Had a red chile burrito. Tortilla was a lil hard, beans and rice with lettuce were amazing. Salsa is always good. Did not enjoy my chips dipped in beans. Previously chips were served on the side. I enjoyed that better. Always bomb pan dulce. Horchata was great. Love ur ice.

I've been coming here for many years, pretty much on a weekly basis for breakfast (also serving lunch). Now they are open in the evenings for dinner. I can't get past the green and red chili beef plates. They are SO good. Tortillas are the best in valleys, and I've been to many of the local establishments over the years. We get takeout often, but the decor and seating area is adorable. Now a few big screens showing news and soccer.

Food was not good. Menudo was bland, The Mauros special was just filled with mostly potatoes, I couldn’t even taste no chicken. The only good thing was the tortillas. Definitely overhyped -

we had a lot of fun with the concha and the small cup of chocolate....lol. the concha was nice and soft. very good flavor and the chocolate woooow, to die for, just like my mom used to make it..... we ordered chilaquiles rojos and verdes, and some enchiladas and we were pleased, portions are decent and peices are affordable, the only thing is parking space the restaurant wasnt that full to justify the lack of parking, seems like employees use the same parking lot . they should find another alternative for employee parking so customers can park close to the restaurant..

Before this restaurant when it was called Azteca the food was bomb, big burritos, cooked to perfection and the bread was always fresh and soft. Now they serve small burritos, food is like any average place, I've gave this place 7 tries and still was very disappointed. Now there is no place that makes bomb green Chile, I miss the grilled chicken tacos, special sour cream, and warm very soft bread. There service and looks of the place is nice but the food is not all that great.

We ordered our food and not long after we got our food, which is great! Everyone took a bite of there food and everyone's burritos were cold. We were expecting at least warm food. Also the beverage machine is Pepsi only but the machine was out of Dr. Pepper. When we got our food, the chorizo tasted bad and my bacon egg and cheese was food truck quality.

Staff is rude. The several times I’ve ordered from them, The order was always wrong even though I repeated the order to them 3 times. When calling in a order you’re left on hold 10+ minutes just to get hung up on or to be left on hold till you hang up. This place use to have friendly staff before they started expanded/remodeling now everything is just 👎🏼
