Best soul food place in town! Quality and quantity! 1 plate can feed 3 people and the prices aren't bad at all! The food is so good!! I have been eating here for years and they never disappoint!

Everything you would expect of a legit country southern mom & pop corner sto'. Hot, door open, hood spot. & they load your plate up to where it will crack in the bottom if you don't hold it with two hands. One plate was enough to feed a family of 3. 🔥🔥🔥

Cash only. I didn't know that before driving all the way there. Cannot rate the food. When I walked in regardless of them not accepting a credit card, I didn't like the space, not somewhere I want to get food from. That's they only thing I rated, the atmosphere.

Aside from the place SERIOUSLY needing a sign service is excellent. My mother pulled over and ran in to get herself the hamburger steak and rice with some cornbread. Very delicious Southern cuisine, but PLEASE GET A SIGN.

Baby when I tell you ..... now you know the food snapping when a sentence begins like that. But for real- real deal talk, this is one of the best soul food joints in Birmingham. It is located in Ensley and has been in business many years. They even survived the pandemic shutdown. Try their oxtails, beef tips, or baked turkey wings. And that buttery cornbread yal is scrumptious. You can also have certain food items cooked to order. They serve plenty food too. I guarantee it's enough to last two meals or days. Take my word for it. Swing by!!

Kiara has great customer service. They give you a lot for what you spend. I could've gotten 1 breakfast plate and shared with my husband, lol. The food(breakfast) WAS EXCELLENT!! I'll be returning.
