Security everywhere and somehow my phone got stolen right before they closed up shop. Hmm, I wonder if the security was who stole it? Management pretended they would help but never sent the video footage they promised, probably because their own staff was involved. Edit: classy response from the owner tells you everything you need to know about this place. Trashy place, trashy people. Also, wow suddenly bought a bunch of fake 5 star reviews to hide the truth.

I went to Rakata on a Thursday around 12am. The promoters in frnt of the club claimed there was no cover charge so long as we purchased a drink or two. We agreed to buy two drinks and were led to a tall bar table in the middle of the club. My boyfriend asked the waitress the cost for two Palomas (house tequila) and we were told $250 Pesos. After drinking our two Palomas we decided to close out our tab that totaled about $35 USD! You can believe our frustration because both my boyfriend and I speak fluent Spanish and we made sure to ask about pricing before hand. My suggestion to is to reconsider coming to Rakata, the ambience is off because there’s a bouncer or waitress for each party-goer and they’re hovering over you the entire time, the quality of mixed drinks is poor and you’ll simply be overcharged for your experience.

Owner rips you off. Worst place ever to go to. Watch your wallet, they bring you “free” drinks and our bill was 750 USD.

Great time unfortunately homeless guy outside the club pulled a knife out on me for not letting him get to close to me besides that great experience.

Precios excesivos para un lugar sencillo y con pocos valores. Además de que aquí robaron mi celular, qué al llamar obviamente apagaron. A pesar de que el gerente dijo que ayudaría, después no contestó mis mensajes, lo más probable es que el staff esté involucrado y se estén encubriendo.

Ordered something that was 100 pesos. They charged me more than 200 pesos and then were very forceful in charging 25% tip. Very scammy.

Pathetic set up. Very hostile reception. Made you very uncomfortable. Extremely loud music. The "host" tried to build a good relationship but was not fluent in English. Only the 2 of us were present at that time. A security guard barred us from entering the "karaoke area. Don't go there ever.

Scammers. Bullies. If you’re American, Canadian, or from an English speaking country.. you can see them get excited about playing their little game. They will offer “free” drinks and pull you from the street because it’s dead inside and then force you to pay. Would not have gone inside if they didn’t offer free drinks. There’s plenty of other places nearby to go to. All the staff physically stopped us from leaving. After accepting being scammed and we paid them, they had the audacity to say we need to tip them… after 1 hour of holding us in a corner. Staff are “nice” people until they’re trying to force you to pay using fear and force. Disappointed but not surprised. These people should sell Timeshare contracts, they’d be good at it.

Precios demasiados altos para lo que es el lugar, exigen propinas muy altas (+ 25%), mucha seguridad pero aún así se roban cosas, y no colaboran para ayudarte a localizar lo que se te pierde o roban dentro del establecimiento.

Nos dieron lugar en la parte de enfrente luego de que queríamos cambiar a la parte de atrás donde se escuchaba la música nos comentaron que veíamos pagar 1 o 2 botellas por acceso siendo que ya estábamos adentró 😑
