Free and open worth stopping in. This museum is tucked away on the Isle Cuale nestled between the two forks of the River Cuale. It offers insight into Central American culture, specifically to Mexico and Puerto Vallarta. One of the greatest insights was the specific Asiatic influence on the Pacific coast of Mexico and how the diet and particular affinities became ingrained into what we experience today. 5/5, definitely stop in and have a look.

This small, quaint museum will give you an idea of the history and archeology of the original inhabitants of the area. It is located on the end nearest the ocean on the Rio Cuale. Be sure and leave a small donation.

A must visit area of Puerto Vallarta when you visit. A peaceful beautiful setting in a park on the island.

I visited Museo del Cuale on a sunny day in March. It was easy to find on Isla Río Cuale, a charming island in the middle of Puerto Vallarta. The museum was free to enter, but I left a donation to support their work.
