We did the tour of the Fifth of December neighborhood in summer 2021. We were the only two on the tour, due to low tourist numbers during the pandemic. Our guide was awesome, friendly and informative. We loved the tour and getting to know the local neighborhood and cuisine. Hands down some of the best Mexican food I've had in my life. Don't hesitate to book with these guys, they're fantastic and Puerto Vallarta is one of the best areas in Mexico for food.

We had a great time on the After Dark 🌮tour with Ricardo as our guild. This was our 3rd time doing one of their tours and they are always very good. Their day tour is excellent as well. There is always a good selection of 🌮s to taste and it’s a full meal. We always do the tours on our 2nd day of vacation so we can go back to the ones we like. If you’re hesitant to try the street tacos, do one of these tours and you will never be hesitate agin!!

What a unique experience!! We did the Vallarta Eats tour with our guide Eduardo. He is amazing!! We were able to learn so much about the culture in PV and the history of the food. There was a great mix between different types of tacos and dessert so you were able to experience it all. There are so many different types of food tours to pick from which means you can pick which one is best for you! We will definitely be back to a Vallarta Eats Food Tour next time we are in town!

The taco tour was my favorite activity we did in Puerto Vallarta! Our tour guide, Karla, was incredible. We got the history and experience of the taco businesses, the how and why of the food, plus so much knowledge of the culture while walking through the streets. Thank you Karla - look us up when in Utah!

All the food was excellent. Such a great variety of tacos … who knew?! Our guide was informative and really explained how the different types evolved. The only thing I was a little disappointed in was the walking. We and friends are elderly but do not need canes, etc., we just walked a little slower than the younger group we were with. I expected our guide to wait at corners for us all to cross together but there were a couple times everyone crossed and left the four of us to cross by ourselves while they all waited for us to get there. We were at the most a half of a block behind at those times. Either have your guides be more aware or offer tours for those of us that walk slower. One other suggestion is to have your guides wear microphones. With the street traffic it was hard to hear either the tour leader or a question someone asked especially if you were at the back of the group, or seated separately because the group could not be accommodated to sit together.

We always do a food tour when in PV and this was our first time with Vallarta Eats. We were very happy with our choice. The stops were carefully planned and the we loved hearing the history behind the creation of the dishes. Our tour guide was passionate about the tour and made it all the more exciting. We will definitely use Vallarta Eats for future food tours on our next visit!

We had such a great time exploring Puerto Vallarta at night with Kaitlin at the lead. She was a wealth of knowledge about the history and goings-on of PV and took us for some GREAT food. This particular tour came highly recommended from some friends and we are thrilled to be able to highly recommend it on to anyone looking for a great evening of fun and food.

My family and I did the taco tour had an amazing time, sampling real authentic local food, all while learning fun facts about the city and taking in the sights. Our tour guide Ricky was knowledgeable, friendly and lots of fun. He took great pictures of us, and gave us great recommendations for things to do and places to try on our trip. I highly recommend that you start your vacation with this tour!

The Vallarta Eats Taco Tour came highly recommended and did not disappoint. We lucked out in having Stephen (owner) as our guide, though from the looks of it the other guides were just as knowledgeable and engaging. We enjoyed each stop on the tour and have been back to several already. It was also really great to get to go behind the scene at a few places and see how/where some local foods are made. We appreciated the follow up email with the list of places we visited, the type of revised had and the address. Definitely put it on your itinerary early in your visit to PV.

I highly recommend the taco tour. We visited 6 family owned restaurants/stands, and at each stop had a different version of a taco. Each of the tacos were fabulous and we were beyond stuffed by the end of the tour. We topped off the tour with a stop at an ice cream shop, followed by a candy shop. I loved the fact that in all instances we were supporting local businesses. We’ll worth the cost and we will happily do this tour again next time we are in Puerto Vallarta.

This was so fun! We went with another couple and enjoyed every minute. Learned a lot about salsa’s, and traditions in Mexico. Like most fish places close early and people try not to eat fresh fish seafood after 7pm. Enjoyed walking the town ( saw new places ) and I would say it was also a sightseeing tour! Went to one place and had two margaritas - hibiscus and pineapple! Very different, the taco guide even knew what kind of Margaritas to order! Had a great time and will do it again! Fun tour guide to deal with us.

The Taco Tour was one of the highlights of my time in Puerto Vallarta. The tour guide, Paz, was amazing and helped us see some of the hidden gems we’d never find on our own. With every stop, she would tell us the story of the owners, how their tacos differ from others, and the special items on their menu you can’t find anywhere else (including some amazing soy salsa!). We left the event feeling so full, and would definitely recommend this tour.

We took the signature taco tour and it was amazing. Our guide, Karla, went above and beyond for our family. The food was beyond delicious. We also stopped at two Tortilla factories, a bakery and for ice cream. It was very hot out and Karla even had frozen towels for us to cool off with. We stopped at six places to taste different types of tacos and they did not disappoint. Karla not only provided us fantastic information about what we were eating but provided us with great information about Puerto Vallarta as well! I would suggest this tour to anyone who is looking to try authentic tacos!

We had a wonderful experience on our Birria tour with Vallarta Eats! Carla our guide was fun and knowledgeable. I would recommend doing one of these tours at the beginning of a trip to PV so you can go revisit your favorite stops on the tour throughout your visit. We are locals and found new spots we did not know about - so tourists and locals alike will love this! And their motto is absolutely right on - COME HUNGRY!

We went on the Craft Brews and Bites Tour on Friday, June 2nd and had an absolute blast. Stephen, our tour guide, was beyond knowledgeable about Puerto Vallarta, each restaurant we went to, and almost everything we passed walking through the Romantic Zone. We started our tour in the stunning Lázaro Cárdenas plaza. My husband and I went early to look through all of the mosaics, and Stephen provided further context for the project, as well as showing us the final pieces that will be completed soon. Our first stop, Monzon Brewing Company, was like walking into a brewery at home. It has classic craft brewery vibes and fantastic tacos. Don’t skip the sauces! They were just as delicious and were a wonderful addition. The two brewers we spoke to gave us a tour of their stills and answered all of our questions about how they produce their beer. They were even as stoked as we were that we found a sticker for a brewery in our hometown on their wall! The second stop was Mezcal y Sal, and it was phenomenal. The decor, the geometric glasses for fancy cocktails, but most importantly, the staff. We had the head chef of the day explain each dish and each beer paring, and she was so welcoming and enthusiastic about their food and beer. The food was so good I kept on forgetting to drink the (equally delicious) beer! Our third stop was El Granero. Another craft brewery, but just to a bigger scale than Monzon. Their craft beers were amazing and the pepperoncini pizza is a must. Try it with the sauces! Our server was super knowledgeable about the beers they make, and was very welcoming of our questions. This is a walking tour, so bring comfy shoes, but it is absolutley worth it. Between each stop Stephen shared so much information about Puerto Vallarta’s history, culture, and even just fun, random facts about the streets, stores, and everything in between that we passed. We are just tourists, but Stephen showed us the city in a way that helped us better understand Puerto Vallarta and made us feel welcomed and included. It really was a wonderful time that we are still talking about days later! Thank you so much Stephen and Vallarta Eats!

Karla was a wonderful guide on our taco tour. We enjoyed her expertise on the food, the locations, the history of each establishment. She had a very friendly personality with a fun sense of humor and even brought us to a local ice cream shop and candy store! Bonus points from our 8 year old son! Highly recommend Karla and her taco tour!

Wow! What a wonderful tour of Puerto Vallarta tacos stops (and so much more). The tour guide was very welcoming and familiar with the folks working at every stop. The tour was educational and delicious. I was quite impressed with the tour and especially the food. Well worth the price and something I would reccomend to anyone!

Taco tour We went with zero expectations having never been on a food tour. At the end of the night we kicked ourselves for not doing it sooner. We met Eduardo at the appointed place (which was very easy to find) and off we went. Since it is the rainy season my wife and I were the only two to join the tour. What a treat we had our own private tour! Eduardo proved to be very knowledgeable on the town and its food. After two stops it stopped feeling like a tour and more like just going out on the town. He is very personable and the conversation flowed. Of course at each stop he educated us on what was being served, and the restaurant’s history. We visited a mix of restaurants and taco stands, even stopped at the oldest churro stand in PV for by far the best we have ever had. I recommend doing the tour at night when it cools down a bit and definitely ask for Eduardo. It’s 5 out of 5 for us.

A group of us went on the original Taco Tour a few weeks ago. Manny, our guide, was wonderful. His knowledge of the town, the food and the culture is second to none. The food was AMAZING and the newbies in our group (new to PV) learned so much, including how to navigate town. I can’t recommend Vallarta Eats enough.

We did the signature taco tour and everything from beginning to end was amazing. Manny was very personable and helpful with clearing our plates to explaining the process of how food was made for our tacos. Shout out to Eric as well for helping us with getting to the event on time as well. This was a wonderful experience for a great price! Would highly recommend this tour!

Vallarta Eats Food Tours are amazing! Every time we go to Vallarta we love to experience a tour. This spring we enjoyed the NEW Versalles Night Tour and it was FAB!!!! Such a great night, super great stops and really interesting to learn about the area. We went back 3 more times and had great food every time!

A great tour. Solid 3 hours walking at a leisurely pace. Our guide was Roman. He has a background in food, from working many different positions In restaurants to helping cook in his mothers family restaurant. He was charismatic, knowledgeable of the area, and had great history of every single place we visited. He described perfectly the presentations, tastes, and how get the most enjoyment out of every bite. Come hungry, because there was 5 taco stops, several with 2 tacos to try. Every stop had a different local beverage to try, so many salsas and hot sauces, there was an amazing churro cart in the middle of the tour, and ended with a great choice of dairy and non dairy ice creams at the end. This tour was fun! Everyone in our group of 9 seemed to have a good time. A great bargain for $55.

We had a fabulous Signature Taco Tour in old town. Our tour guide Susie was very familiar with the area. Her English & Spanish were great- she spent time in the US but summers with her grandparents in old time PV. Her knowledge of the area, some history, the food, preparation, family recipes, history of the food carts, etc. made this tour so fun!! You must come hungry because you get to sample so many delicious foods! Can’t wait to try another tour in the future!!

Great experience. Our guide Katelyn was a knowledgeable and fun host showing us some of the sights in addition to the fantastic eats of Puerto Vallarta. The meals and drinks were delicious and filling. Everyone was full by the time we got to our last restaurant which served up the desserts. Would recommend this tour if you're in PV and want to graze the culinary treats 😋

Able did a wonderful job providing background about each food stop as well as some interesting historical facts about the neighborhoods. Also really enjoyed seeing how Tortillas are mechanically made at high volume at a neighborhood bakery. Able also took a number of photos during the tour that could later be downloaded on a complimentary basis. The Tour required walking about 2 miles and you need to wear comfortable shoes and be careful walking on the sidewalks and cobblestone pavement.

Wonderful tour with Fernanda. Did a 10am taco tour. Was a nice mix of history, culture and amazing food in the backdrop of a lovely city. Loved that we were traveling away from the touristy places and into the local neighborhoods and supporting local family owned businesses. Also very much appreciated that Fernanda was local and told us personal stories of some of the places we visited. The food was great. The aguas frescas were refreshing and ending with the candy shop and palletas was perfect. The tour was the absolute highlight of our trip to Puerto Vallerta. I wish we had done this tour first thing so that we could come back on another day for round two. Also, customer service is great. I had a few change requests that were taken care of quickly and graciously. Very much appreciated. Recommend not eating anything before the tour. My daughter and I ended up sharing the last 4 of 8 tacos because we were so full. Highly recommend following their motto “come hungry!”

I saw a sign for Vallarta Eats Food Tours while walking past the River Cafe. After much research and comparing other available tours and touring companies in PV, we decided to go for their Signature Taco Tour. The value for money is crazy good. Come hungry!!!! We had so many different types of tacos, all from street stands. But also extras such as a taste of green juice, a visit to the tortilla factory, a walk through the market and tastes of different types of candy. The tour guide was really good and personable. I highly recommend this tour!

Tacos all day! Some of the best you would never find on your own. Abel and Fernanda were helpful, friendly, and funny. We learned a lot about the history of the city and the food. Great fun and astoundingly good food. If we ever go back to PV, we'll definitely do another tour with them. Go hungry!

Amazing food tour. Fernanda was amazing. I would def have my clients experience the tour with her as she goes down local streets and its a great mixture of street and small local restaurants. You do not need to eat anything beforehand. We had a vegetarian on our tour and accommodations were made, however for the carnivore lover, this amazing - oh and yes there are desserts! Wear your walking shoes! Cash should be brought for tips.

SO MUCH FUN! Our tour guide, Abel, was awesome and so knowledgeable taking us around the city to all the best spots. We enjoyed the food so much that we went back to every single place 3 more times while on vacation. The Untouristed Tour was such a great experience and I can only image how fun all the other tours they offer are. We plan to visit again soon and will take another tour - highly recommend booking a tour with Vallarta Eats Food Tours. This was the highlight of our trip!

We participated in the Taco Tour while in Puerto Vallarta and really enjoyed it! Our tour leader was Abel and did a great job of providing background info on each stop and made the whole experience fun and educational. And the tacos were great! We know that we will return to some of the stops we visited the next time we’re in Puerto Vallarta!

Foodies will love this… Vallarta Eats Food Tours are the best way to see PV and really the way “city tours” should be handled! You will casually stroll to great restaurants with delicious food lead by knowledgeable and sincere residents showing you what’s best around town. It’s like meeting up with an old friend, sharing a walk and having a progressive dinner and paired cocktail! I tried two different tours and the daytime Taco Tour was amazing in the variety of street food and tour of a working open-air market where they were making tortillas from dry corn to cooked and ready to eat! The Tasting Vallarta tour took us to tiny, local restaurants eager to show off their signature dishes and cocktails— and they did not disappoint—each dish was so unique and full of family pride! It was like really discovering a whole new taste or an absolutely new genre of food! Amazing fun with food! Don’t miss out!

We have enjoyed this tour a few times and it is always amazing Tonight we enjoyed a private tour with Paz, great conversations along with the fantastic food! If you want the best guide ask for Paz!! Go hungry as you with have 7 or 8 stops of tacos, plus some sweets along your after dark taco tour. Enjoy this tour early in your stay im PV so you can go back to your favorites on an other day.

Our Vallarta Eats tour was informative and fun with Karla guiding us to the various taco stands. She knew her stuff! We had a pleasant small group and at each stop we learned about the family history of the taco stand and how the workers lovingly prepare the tasty tacos we sampled. Such a variety of tastes and stories! I highly recommend taking a taco tour not only for the delicious eats but as a way to deepen your understanding of the rich food culture in the streets of Puerto Vallarta.

Definitely one of the most fun things we did in Puerto Vallarta. Awesome way to explore truly local cuisine and delicious street food with an expert guide! We learned a lot and had a ton of fun. Ricardo was a wonderful tour guide. The food was incredible and being on the tour made it very comfortable to go to places where we may have felt unsure about trying on our own. Such a great value for 5 or 6 Taco stops with unique drinks, Bakery, fresh tortillas, ice cream, and candy shop! Our guide also took excellent pictures throughout the tour which were sent to us for free afterward. Absolutely loved this and would do again!!

AMAZING!!!! BOOK NOW! You won't regret it! Our guide was Tad, and he was awesome! He allowed us to keep our own pace and enjoy each place we stopped at.. he was super knowledgeable of the area and the process of how tortillas are made and the history of tacos that I didn't know and I'm a taco eating pro! Tad definitely took care of us and I would recommend this to anyone.. I wish we booked sooner in our trip!

We had the pleasure of having Stephen, the owner, as our tour guide. He was amazing with all of his great information about the city and each stop. The first stop for the birria tacos was amazing. We went there again later in our trip. Overall, it was a great introduction to the city and we had an amazing time. I recommend the tour to anyone who loves food, history, and a great environment.
