One of the most spectacular places you’ll ever stay. Designed by renowned architect Edward Giddings, this is a true Puerto Vallarta hidden gem. Just 5 minutes south of Old Town Puerto Vallarta and perched 1000 feet up high on the Conchas Chinas jungle cliffs. You can walk into the lobby and ask Luisa for a tour and plan to spend an hour visiting. You will want to be a member for sure. It’s over the top amazing! You will never want to leave!

Absolutely the best views. Great food and great staff. Ocho is so much more than just a place to stay while on vacation.

My mom saw this place in a magazine in 1981 and cut out the article. 40 years later, my husband and I took her and my dad for our first visit the week of Christmas. We went back this year for Thanksgiving. It is, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful properties I've ever visited, with amazing staff and views that can take your breath away.

This resort is amazing. We stayed in one of several gorgeous cascading villas overlooking the bright blue ocean offering relaxation for days. Rich decor boasted traditional yet contemporary tile, leather and stone designs in an open air villa with a private pool and jacuzzi. I did not want to depart after 7 days and nights of the perfect sun-kissed temperature vacay including flavorful meals by a private chef and excellent staff service.

If I could sum up Ocho Cascadas in one word; “Incredible” would be an understatement. Angie at the front desk was amazing to work with, taking care of every question and need before and during our stay. Victor was extremely hospitable and took care of us, partnering with Chef Lalo who cooked amazing meals throughout our entire stay. Both Victor and Lalo really made our trip extra special. We’ve not only gained a few pounds, but more importantly, a few new friends! We really enjoyed how quiet and peaceful Conchas Chinas is. All we could hear is the ocean and the bird life in the morning. Traffic is very light and quiet. Stunning views of the ocean below and out to the horizon. Since it is a bit removed from town, be prepared to use a taxi to get back and forth if needed. If you’re staying in the Penthouse, you will probably go to town on Sunday since that is the staffs’ day off. The beach is a steep trek down and back up but taxis are alway available through the front desk, or at the Oxxo at the bottom of the hill if you’re looking to pick some things up there and taxi back up the hill, like we did! Amazing open floor plan, impeccable service, friendly, hospitable staff; everything you need to seriously relax and unwind. Created by Ed Giddings, it is an architectural masterpiece with great historical significance here in Conchas Chinas. I’m sure Louisa would be happy to give anyone a tour, and we highly recommend it!

The staff, the villa, and the amazing view were all amazing. Irma and Noe took excellent care of us and always had smiles on their faces. From the in-villa personal chef to the manicure/pedicure visit . . . simply the best. We will totally return - again and again. Love this place!

Beautiful boutique resort. Awesome staff and worth the $$$$. You are dependent on transportation to get to beach and downtown!

This place is great for everything! Weddings, bachelor/ Bachelorette parties, or a family vacation. The cook, bartender and staff are 5stars all day.

Beautiful view from every room! Hope for good weather because the kitchen and living area are outdoor concept. No TV and wi-fi is spotty. Only the bedrooms have doors with air conditioning. Built into a hillside, you need to have a car or taxi everywhere. No courtesy van service offered.

This place is truly a marvel of architecture. Granted the further up you go, the better the rooms get. Stayed in level one, and was not privy to a cascading pool, but just the opportunity to get in here made it worthwhile. Yes, there are no walls. Yes, there are lizards, bugs, and such that spend time with you. Use the mosquito netting over the bed and you will be fine snowflake! The staff was attentive, and it was really fun getting to go to the suite party they held at the end of the week upstairs. If you can get into this place, make it a mission- just to stay in one of the more unique places in all of Central America.

This place is beautiful! The views were breathtaking and staying here was an experience I won't soon forget, starting with being greeted with delicious Margaritas! The staff were very friendly and attentive. The weather in late March was wonderful (on the hot side of course)! The week we were there, our housekeeper was a gem and very thorough. In the evenings, a grounds keeper would come through and lightly fog for mosquitos... another very kind person that shared friendly conversation. The kitchenette is well appointed and the lounging areas were inviting. The bed and bedding also very comfortable. There were 2 events at the resort; we missed the welcome/cocktail hour and another evening we caught the tail end of a tequila-sampling - quite fun! We didn't wait for than 10 minutes for taxi service and after exploring for the area for the day, I was thrilled to return to our luxury accommodations!

What a gem of a place. Very quiet and cozy with a great staff that will help you in any way. Definitely recommend for anyone not looking for a party resort.
