Professional English speaking staff(Thank You Natalie). Very Courteous from start to finish. Covid # 19 test (Antigen). Walk-in. No appointment necessary. Results in 3-7 hours, via QR code and password on the receipt. Can also pick up hard copy after you receive the results. All for $650 peso (35 USD). They Accept credit cards. It’s the best option, rather then going to the airport. Top notch service 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

My father has been interned here for a complicated internal organ issue. The doctors have been good and the staff are very kind. It seems like they are all well-trained as to what to do. He got his bath, they changed his sheets, they almost always come when the button is pressed. He requested fruit and it came quickly. We have a private room now. It is spacious, has a private full bathroom, and even though it is next to the busy road it isn't loud. There is a nice little cafeteria on the fourth floor where one can get comida corrida lunches and breakfasts for about 90 pesos. NECESSARY: Bring your ID card because you need it to come in. Bring a mask; it's required in the public areas. Be very specific about any medication and the amounts needed for overnight care.

Con artists. I was seen pretty quickly and was looked after by really nice and competent nurses and doctors. Then I was told to see a specialist… a man came in with a card machine asking for 20,000 pesos as a deposit. When I refused, he asked for 10,000 pesos instead. I told them I’d rather not see the specialist because their deposit policy wasn’t explained clearly enough to me. When I was leaving the doctor asked me if I preferred the medication to be from the hospital or sent to a pharmacy. I asked if there was any price difference, and he told me that it would be maybe 50 pesos difference. I ended up paying over 2000 extra pesos than the pharmacy listed price (I checked after with a pharmacy, the exact same medication.) I also received a cast boot which from the hospital cost nearly 4000 pesos. You can find the exact same one on Amazon for 1000 pesos. Clearly this hospital is only after people’s money. I’m fortunate enough I was able to pay but I think it’s despicable the way they would treat someone who just needs their care.

Fantastic staff. Speak English and accommodated my lipreading needs. Quick service and excellent attention to care. As a Deaf person who primarily communicate in American Sign Language (ASL) and English, I appreciated some of the staff keeping their distance in order to remove their masks so I could lipread what they were telling us. Overall, the experience was better than any experience I ever had in the USA. We were in and out in less than 90 minutes for a minor emergency treatment. Without a doubt, we would be very glad to return for their care if we ever need it again.

I cannot express enough how grateful I am to all the Doctors and Nurses and Staff at Medassist PV (especially all the staff in emergency, Level 2 & Dr. Carmen). I spent 4 days here being treated for a terrible stomach infection. The facilities and treatment were first class. Apart from the fact that this is one of The cleanest hospitalsI have ever seen, the Doctors and Nurses were SO kind, and made me feel calm and relaxed. They even have staff to help you with your travel insurance (english speaking). Do not hesitate to come here for treatment. MANY THANKS.

I’ve been coming to PV for 34 years. I’ve sample the delicious food here, the wonderful people, the attractions, and beautiful Banderous Bay. I am a retired urologist practicing in Pennsylvania for 41 years. Where my wife and I stay, Costa Sur, we love the resort very much. Over the years quite a few tourists here at Costa Sur required the assistance of a doctor. Everyone of those patients returned to our resort and raved about the wonderful care they received from the doctor and hospital. We’ll I had the unfortunate experience of needing the help of one of their doctors….Marie Guadeloupe Cedillo. I was so impressed with her smile and warmth and professionalism. Truly a gem and a smart one. She was better then my MD in the states. I was better in 2 days . I could have died also. Everyone at Medasist Hospital deserves 5 stars. From the door man to nurses and the lab. personal. I couldn’t be more pleased.

I was seen, blood tested, given medication, and consulted all within 2 hours. They have the prices available right at the counter, the entire visit including meds only cost $170 USD. Mostly everyone there spoke English, the doctor spoke perfect English. Overall felt like a good and safe experience.

Today I visited this hospital for the first time in Mexico with the pain in the upper part of my leg. It was zero waiting time to register. In 10 min I was in the doctor's office already, who diagnosed me with tendon's injury, prescribed 3 medication. Total 30 min in the hospital and very, very reasonable payment. Very happy to have this hospital for my future needs. Thank you!

I went to the emergency room after having an elevated heart rate for 48 hours, and the service and care could not have been better. I was immediately escorted to a bed, and received an EKG within 10 minutes of arriving. I was then taken to see Dr. Lupita Lewgot, who did an echocardiogram right away, and made a diagnosis, and gave me medication. And it all cost a whopping $2,900 pesos. The U.S. medical system could learn a lot from Mexico's healthcare system....

I had a previously undiagnosed and serious food allergy, resulting in hives and swollen feet, hands, throat, and head. I visited Hospital Medasist on consecutive days and each visit was smooth and professional. Highly recommended. Wonderful people, quick service, and super clean facility.

Excellent healthcare - I came in with a sore throat and body aches and wanted to see if I had a bacterial (antibiotic treatable) or viral (no antibiotic). The doc made the correct diagnosis of a bacterial infection after physical exam, but I also asked for a total blood count with differential blood test which they did and it confirmed the diagnosis. Spent an hour in total (the blood analysis took time but it was like 20 min after the draw), and total bill was at ~$50 usd. Very happy I went there and now feel confident antibiotic will help fight the infection.

A few weeks ago, I was admitted into the emergency room after passing out and hitting the back of my head on a cobblestone street. After 6 hours of observation to determine there was no concussion which involved 7 stiches, a full blood panel, EKG, and CT scan, I was released with the instruction to return back immediately if any unusual symptoms occurred, such as nausea, dizziness, etc. What excellent and thorough treatment I received. I can't say enough about the professionals here that treated me! Thank you!

I’ve been here few times now, one in an emergency and the rest just regular checkups. Each and every time the staff are always super pleasant and helpful and the doctors are incredible. Almost all speak English. When you compare the costs vs the care to the US, it’s not even close. Both the cost and the care is far superior to what you would get in the US in my opinion.

Very clean, very easy to access. This facility is A+ in my book when it comes to quality, staff, cleanliness and accessibility. We had a scheduled procedure here with Dr. Ramos and it was great experience.

COVID testing is on the side of the building in a temporary structure. Cost is $650 MXN or $36 USD. You’ll need your passport number for the paperwork. Took around noon on a Monday. Got the results in less than 2 hours via email. Unfortunately they spelled my last name wrong, but I still was able to use the test result.

Unnecessary charges and treatment. I came in because of an ankle injury. I thought it was fractured but the X-ray showed no breakage and they said it was a bad sprain. They kept telling me that the specialist doctor isn’t available and that it would be an extra charge for him to come and take a look at my ankle but I’m not sure why they couldn’t help me as an ankle sprain is a very common injury. They bandaged my leg up with cotton and there was no blood circulation so I had to go home and take it off. I have never in my life seen an ankle sprain bandaged this way. One doctor told me to keep it on at all times and ice my ankle over the thick padding (impossible) and the other doctor told me to remove it when sleeping and showering. As they were giving me conflicting advice, I could tell that they didn’t know what the correct advice was. I could hear the hesitancy as they spoke. Then I got hit with a heavy bill. The cotton padding alone cost 500 pesos (absolute rip off) and I do think they did this because I’m a tourist. They unnecessarily added things to my treatment so that they could drive up the bill. A lot of the things were unnecessary here and I didn’t even leave with any valuable advice whatsoever on how to take care of my ankle. They did not tell me how to treat it, what exercises to do, they didn’t explain what grade sprain it was. They told me to not bear weight on it but didn’t provide me with anything to help take the weight off. I definitely wouldn’t come back here.

nice hospital and clean , but worst experience ever on the payment side!!! They tried to charge us more each day. Asking for the price with detail and the day after it double or more. They just want more and more with no reason. Not speaking spanish o talking it all, they were charching me around 70 000$ pesos more!!! Better Cmq or Versalles Lugar limpio y buena ayuda pero muy rateros!! De un dia a l otro cambiamba el precio. Sin hablar me haria cobrado casi 70 000$ pesos extra. Una pesadilla. Mejor cmq o por Versalles

This is related to antigen test. I went to this hospital to asked information to do antigen test on Friday March 4th. At the main door I was informed by a girl working there that I can come anytime no need appointment. She told me the they open at 9 am to 1 pm on Sunday. I had flight living PV on Sunday (6th) at 5.50ies PM to Mexico city and to Montreal at 1.15 AM on the 7th. So I have to do the test on Sunday because my last flight leaving other nation city, in this case Mexico city on early Monday morning. So Sunday morning I went to the hospital and a girl told me the test is on the side of the building. I went there and was told I need to make appointment / register to do the test and can't do it on the spot. I have to go back again at 1.10 PM because that's the earliest time slot available according to the website. I went back at 1 and did the test. I always thought antigen test doesn't need a long time to get the result. But they told me I will have the result in 4 hours. I got nervous because my flight to Mexico city is at 5.50 PM. I told them I need the result sooner that 4 hours. They talked to each other in Spanish which I didn't understand and said I will have my result in 3 hours. I left hotel to the airport without my antigen test at 3.30 and arrived at the airport at 4 PM. Went to check-in counter aeromexico and told they won't let check-in until I have prove of negative antigen test. I emailed them saying I need my result now. And no answer. I finally got my result at 5.28 PM which is way to late already. For that, I need to buy a new ticket to go back to Montreal because airline consider me no show. I need to stay at hotel again for 1 night at PV. I am so disappointed with there service. If they can't deliver the test result as promised dont do the test. Tell me to go somewhere else, which I found near the airport result for antigen test in 15 minutes. Bad ...bad ... BAD experience with this place. If the laboratory hospital denied this, I have all the prove. If they at least keep their promise result in 4 hours it means I should have the result at 5 PM and probably the airline will let me check-in.

I had wrist surgery for a fracture yesterday . The hospital was spotless, the staff incredible, professional and very caring. Sorry not to remember all the names but the nurse Anacarin who drew bloodwork and started my IV was especially skilled. The entire Surgery crew was awesome also, wonderful teamwork. The anesthesiologist, Dr Torres who played music by Queen before I went to sleep 🥰and Surgeon Dr. Calvillo who were skilled and informative as well as caring. I highly recommend this hospital. Thank you to all!

I was referred here for a urinalysis. I never got a call to go over results like I was told, but when I went back early the next day, the doctor saw me right away. She was kind and spoke English. She wrote a prescription that I could have filled immediately at Medasist Hospital or go to farmacy of my choice. The exam room has air-conditioning. My visit was quick and I was happy with the care I received.

I saw Dr. Maria Guadalupe Narvaez Lewgot, MD today, 10/20/21, and not only is she a great doctor, she is a warm and wonderful person. I look forward to being under her care for many years to come. All support staff from the front desk to medical assistants were professional, warm, and friendly. This is a well-run hospital and it was my pleasure meeting all of them this morning.

I was seen quickly The doctors and nurses were friendly and competent But if you go to emergency they will take a $20,000 peso deposit and tell you this is just going to be placed on hold, but buyer beware your bill will be $20,000 The lady in the next bed yep…$20,000 What a racket, you guys should be ashamed of yourself taking advantage of people when there vulnerable!

Quite possibly the worst care I’ve ever received. I am severely allergic to peanuts and arrived at the ER about 10mins after taking a bite of something that was not supposed to contain peanuts. I was literally begging the doctor to administer epinephrine, but he kept telling me to relax and that they were going to wait because my vitals were fine. My vitals were okay because I have lived my entire life with this food allergy so I know exactly how my body reacts and I make it a point to remain calm and control my breathing. I explained this to the doctor both in English and in Spanish, but it did not change anything. So while they were quick to get me into a room for treatment and the doctor had ample opportunity to be proactive, he waited at least 30mins for me to be in full anaphylaxis before administering epinephrine. I have had to go to the ER for my peanut allergy numerous times (both in the U.S. & abroad) and never in my life have I had a doctor not take me seriously and demonstrate a lack of regard for my well-being to the point that I was questioning if he was even a doctor. It is safer to administer epinephrine than to delay treatment for anaphylaxis, but I guess he missed that course in medical school.

I was in an ATV accident and as a result, I had wounds that needed to be addressed. The doctor and nurses were absolutely awesome. They were genuinely concerned of my injuries and took excellent care of me. Whenever I'm in PV and in need of medical assistance (hopefully not) I will ALWAYS come here!

Early morning on February 15, 2023 I had a heart attack. As a result of an earlier good experience at the MedAssist Hospital, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, my wife and I immediately decided to take a taxi to the MedAssist Hospital. On arrival I was immediately appraised and a heart attack was confirmed. I received great care and attention and was prepared for surgery. The early arrival of Dr. Valadez permitted almost immediate attention whereby a stent was placed in my heart. I awoke in the ICU a little later, where, from the beginning of my occupancy, to my release a few days later, I received excellent care and attention from doctors, specialist staff, nurses, food services and personnel in general. I am most grateful for the care and attention that was given to me and I would like to express my sincere thanks to Dr. Valadez, Dr. Lewgot, Dr. Vazquez, Dr. Narvaez and others for their very professional care and attention. I could not imagine a better hospital experience and would highly recommend the MedAssist Hospital in providing loving and attentive care to their patients! Mucho Gracias, Thank you! Sincerely, Brian R. Saunders, British Columbia, Canada.
