We had their chicken green curry and chicken cashew. Absolutely beautiful. The best Thai food we have had in a long time and worth every penny too! My 5 year old son loved it as well. They have great customer service and are very respectful with their elderly customers which is so nice to see! Highly recommended for takeaway or dine in (although dine in they are booked most of the time but they always try to slot you in if they can).

We go to Muang Thai maybe once a month, I'm working my way though the menu and have yet to find anything I don't like. The red curry duck particularly is noteworthy.

The food wasn't bad. It was decent and I felt it wasn't authentic Thai. My padthai was wet and drenched in gravy which was unusual. Isn't your average padthai even though it was still flavourful. We also had green curry which I felt could be more aromatic and it lacked a spice kick even though I requested it to be Thai hot. I've had better Thai for a better price. I will not return.

We thoroughly enjoyed our family dinner experience at Muang. We've been back again and it was consistently great. Food we got are: Duck yellow curry - Our favourite dish on the table. The duck was very tender and the vegetables compliment it well. The curry is mild and had a sweet fragrance, it was flavoured very well and presented in a cute duck plate. Macadamia chicken - Chicken was very crispy and the sauce was tangy, sweet and tasty. The sprinkled crushed macadamias added a really nice flavour. Mango chicken - Very subtle mango sweetness, chicken was tender. I thought it tasted similar to the yellow curry but a bit sweeter. Coconut rice - (not included in the dishes) super nice coconut fragrance and flavour without being overpowering. The rice was cooked perfectly and had shredded coconut on top. Fried ice cream - I loved this dessert, the fried coating outside tasted like a very crispy, hot donut while the vanilla ice cream was still cold inside. It came with whipped cream, sprinkles and condensed milk drizzled over it. Banana fritters - Also amazing, fritters were freshly hot and paired so well with the ice cream. Super cute and comforting dish. Overall amazing experience; we'll definitely be going back again and recommending others to try Muang. On top of all this, the staff were extremely accommodating and polite. We didn't book a table but they were able to offer us one. The waiter was also very patient when one of us was being a bit indecisive on which dish to order and didn't understand the explanation of the differences between the curries. He kindly repeated a few times for us and did not appear annoyed at all. Their menu was also quite expansive, and with plenty of options so it was difficult choosing what to order. The portions were big as they all seem to be sharing plates like at a Chinese restaurant. There was quite a lot of rice that they give for each order, we shared one plate between 2 people. Love this place, can't wait to try their other dishes as all of them were great.

Beef massaman curry and chicken satay. Both meat dry. Curry and peanut satay tasteless. Only good thing was the rice.

Excellent food but the service was shocker. Ordered extra rice and set for more then 10min with no show. Had to go without it at the end.

We ordered the ribs,but they unfortunately were tough.The chicken satay was overcooked.The service was great though and the banana split the best we have ever had

The service is average, rang at 5:15pm and made a phone order for pick up, was told 15 minutes over the phone, showed up 5:30 to be told I was too early and my order wouldn’t be ready till 6:30, I questioned why it would take an hour & half for a small order, the lady told me she’d get the kitchen to make my order quicker, waited a further 20 minutes. A man came out asked what I’d ordered, after telling him, he grabs the takeaway bag that was sitting there when I first arrived, which was my order. Absolute waste of time. Food is also average, the potatoes in the massaman curry were raw in the centre.

The restaurant has a nice atmosphere. The staff are very polite. Meals are well priced and delicious. Definitely be back.

Great place for Thai food. Service is awesome, food is great and great pricing as well. Our usual spot for Thai in pukekohe. Highly recommend. Always make sure to ask for the chilli Sambal, adds that extra awesome flavour to things.

Ordered takeaway last night and o have ordered from them regularly, the yellow chicken curry was horrible! I counted 1 single cashew nut and it was obvious they had forgotten to add any curry paste, it was basically just coconut milk. No Mung Beans or sprinkles on top like usual. Very disappointed!!
