Excellent service and the food was good but unfortunately our steak was over cooked. We ordered medium rare but got medium well.

We just finished our lunch here. I had the burger and fries, my friends had the schnitzel and spicy wings, curly fries and onion rings. The food was delicious! The portions are huge so come hungry. My burger bun was soft and the patty was fresh. My fries were perfectly cooked- crunchy on the outside and soft inside and salted perfectly. We had the bread toasted with a heavenly garlic butter.

Loved the food. Staff were very friendly and excellent, but they were just over the top. My biggest issue was them taking the plates when finished. I was still eating my last mouth full, and I was being asked if i was finished, I was clearly still eating, and they got flustered. They just had to wait 2 mins. It won't put me off, but it did make me feel they were trying to get customers in and out.

Staff were lovely. Seemed very under staffed and the staff that they had were all new. Cocktails took about 30mins to come out. The waitress took my half eaten plate off me while I was chatting to a friend (most of our party were still eating) food was amazing . I think the staff just need a lot more support.

Not a good experience. We came for dinner for our friends 18th birthday and waited over an hour for our food. We did have ten guests so we understand why it would take a while but it was so insanely long that by the time our food came out it was cold. Service was not nice. All waitresses gave dirty looks to all of us and treated us like we were an inconvenience to them. Did not feel welcoming at all and will not be returning. Mentos was yummy tho thanks team (never go tho xxx)

Wow! Our waitress was exceptional. Our Meal's were Fantastic. Tge restaurant was clean and tidy, very very well run... Points to note; Well groomed, well spoken, well versed staff. Every table was cleaned, Navy standard hygiene, properly. Steaks were perfect Great selection of sauces and add-ons Deserts were great...sticky date pudding Prices were value for money 💰

The food was just fantastic, really great atmosphere, and hats off to the staff for such a fast and attentive service. My wife and I went for a good dinner time, we made a reservation an hour prior, when we arrived there was a ton of room available but later on it really filled up quickly, so I highly recommend make a reservation. For starters we had the chorizo and Maori bread, really good spiced up taste in the chorizo. The tomahawk and the sirloin steak were just really tasty, and a side of grilled veggies as a side just made it better. A great dessert was the Creme Brulee if there's still room on the belly. Overall, really good place for a nice date night with your partner, friends or just a gather around.

Caught out short staffed but did an amazing job. Friendly, helpful, happy. Meal was nice, decent size for the males of the group. Nice options

The platters are great with a lot of food on it. Nice atmosphere 👌. Staff very helpful. We had a party of 6 and the bill at the end of the night was reasonable. We will be back for the ribs and steak.

Had a lovely meal tonight, comfortable eating, amazing service and the menu was perfect for the Steak House with everything you could ask for, carefully plated and delighted my palate with flavours. Fast Service. See you again soon.

Food was delicious. Service was very fast and spot on. Great portion sizes. Great staff. Only downfall was 1 bill per table no negotiation so someone had to pay $800 which luckily someone had. And there was a breeze constantly on us. But over all loved it and would go again

Well never been there but son had. The meal was done the way I wanted it. As for burgers they were very big and very filling.

mothers day 2023 , even though there was a hiccup with the reservation there was no hesitation in finding and setting a table for a party of 8. The service was attentive, professional, and warm. The food was up to expectations via all the other reviews. Servings of food was plentiful, tasty, and very moreish. The grandchildren want to come again, and we will. Thank you for a lovely time on one of your busiest days

It's been 12 months since we dined here at Johnny's. Unfortunately my meal was disappointing. I ordered an eye fillet, well done. I am a good Ole country girl and really enjoy a good eye fillet. However, when my eye fillet arrived, it was seared to almost burnt on the outside and still pink in the center. It's very disappointing for the $43.00 price tag. I understand that things are tough out there.. but really, if you want to continue to get customers, you need to cook a better steak. We also noticed very little and poor quality salad. Smaller portions, over cooked fries. We had two beers and two steak dinners, and it cost over $100.00. Price does not match quality 😕

Came here new years eve for dinner. Haven't been for so long due to covid etc. Oh my goodness, our meals were absolutely delicious. Will definitely be back sooner rather then later. Thank you Johnny and your team for another wonderful evening.

Excellent meal and my husband says it was the best steak he's ever eaten - it was perfectly seasoned and melted in your mouth. I had a chicken salad which was absolutely delicious! We are only sad that we live in ellerslie and it's a bit of a journey to get out to Pukekohe, but we'll definitely make the trip out again! Shame it wasn't very busy on Saturday lunchtime for them, but those who were there were not regular diners and had found the place quite by chance like we did. Staff were very attentive and friendly and very helpful in making a decision for me based on their experience. Amazing place!!!! We've been back here several times at night and we highly recommended to make a booking. Meals and service top notch. Closed Tuesdays I noted. Definitely recommend a visit!!!!!!

During my visit last week I feel that the way the staff communicated could have been better - as I did not feel welcome. The way the staff asked me to move my chair and to hasten up because another guest was coming soon to use the table - certainly not leaving pleasant impression. I've been to Johnny's many times and even tried to support by buying takeaway from there during lock down as I love their food. Not sure whether I should come again. The food was too nice to miss, though.

Fantastic yummy food, very quick service considering we had a group of 10 hungry guys. Highly recommend this place to anyone if you're in Pukekohe 👌😊

Great place for a good steak, good selection on the menu to cover all taste styles even those not wanting a steak & kids menu available too. Nice decor & friendly attentive staff. Have been going here since it opened & hasn't disappointed us yet. Even celebrated mine & my mums birthdays here & all family that attended couldn't fault their lunch menu on that day.
