During
my
recent
visit
to
Safari
Park
Hotel,
I
noticed
a
minor
issue
that
could
have
a
significant
negative
impact
on
the
hotel's
reputation.
As
the
hospitality
industry
continues
to
recover
from
the
COVID-19
pandemic's
financial
impact,
it
is
crucial
to
ensure
that
all
guests
are
treated
with
dignity,
respect,
and
equality.
Unfortunately,
the
security
personnel
at
Safari
Park
Hotel
did
not
meet
these
standards
during
our
just-ended
ITUC
meeting.
On
two
occasions,
the
security
guards
stopped
me
and
rudely
inquired
about
my
destination.
This
was
uncomfortable
and
unprofessional,
leaving
a
negative
impression
on
me.
The
hospitality
industry
requires
excellent
communication
skills
and
courtesy,
particularly
when
dealing
with
customers.
Therefore,
it
was
disappointing
to
be
treated
with
such
disrespect
and
lack
of
professionalism
by
the
gatekeepers.
I
believe
that
Safari
Park
Hotel
is
open
to
anyone
who
can
afford
it,
regardless
of
how
they
arrive,
whether
on
foot,
by
helicopter,
or
any
other
means.
However,
the
security
guards
seemed
to
imply
that
only
guests
with
cars
were
allowed.
This
restriction
does
not
justify
subjecting
authorized
guests
to
unnecessary
scrutiny
and
disrespect.
To
avoid
such
incidents
in
the
future,
I
suggest
that
the
hotel
inform
walk-in
customers
if
access
is
limited.
This
will
help
prevent
misunderstandings
and
ensure
that
all
guests
are
treated
with
the
respect
they
deserve.
I
hope
that
the
hotel
management
will
take
this
matter
seriously
and
address
it
promptly
to
maintain
the
hotel's
good
name
and
hospitality.
Thank
you
for
your
attention
to
this
matter.
