I was highly excited to stay at the hotel but it didnt work out so well. The location is really good but the cleanliness and service is awefull. As I checked in the hotel noticed, all this hotel had was 2 people sitting in the front counter, there was not any room service available. Then as i went in the room i saw there were a lot of stains on the bed sheet, i called the front desk to complain about it. One of those 2 guys came with unfolded (messed up) sheet and started changing it. I helped him in changing and asked if he was sure that there were not any bugs on the bed, he said there aren't any. They don't even give you water to drink or toothbrush, remember taking your own. You can hear people taking in corridor from your room. Thankfully it was not like that in night. It is better to eat breakfast out somewhere than booking it with the hotel. As much as we enjoyed exploring quebec city, we didnt like the hotel. It is over priced and under maintained.

Great location, big clean room with lovely views. The staff was professional, courteous and friendly. The bed was comfortable, and we got a good night's sleep. I woke up to the smell of fresh bread, and breakfast was delivered just outside of the room. We also really appreciated that we were able to stay at the hotel with our dog. We will return next time we're in Qc city. Thank you!

Very nice hotel. Nice rooms. Lovely location. Staff very polite and courteous. Right near all the old quebec touristic attractions.

Excellent location. Friendly staff. Shower good. Has wine bar and free coffee / hot chocolate. Parking is narrow but there. Room was quiet even though we were on the school side but We did have the air on. Someone unplugged the tv system but once we figured that out we had no complaints. Recommend.

The hotel is centrally located, very close to the main sites in the old town with lots of restaurants around. There are free hot drinks at the lobby which is really great. Room is spacious and well decorated. Bed is super comfortable. When we left something at the hotel after we checkout, they still willingly assisted us in getting our lost item. This was very much appreciated.

Decent hotel, but could use an upgrade and a deep clean. Staff were pleasant. Breakfast was okay. The location is excellent as it's less than a five minute walk to streets filled with restos, bars and the Chateau Frontenac square. We had the King suite with kitchen, which we were led to believe was a 1-bedroom with a sofa bed in the living area. It's not. Everything is in one room with a flimsy curtain that can be pulled across the foot of the king bed at night. Was disappointing.

Take your money elsewhere!! The service was awful and I’m glad I left a day early. I asked for help twice but the staff did nothing. They said they would send someone to my room, but they never came. They later told me it was due to government enforced COVID restrictions which is a lie because many other hotels were doing room cleanings. This is not what I expect from a 4 night stay @ $230/night!

We absolutely loved our stay in Quebec City and this hotel had the perfect location to access everything by foot. Breakfast is delivered to your door every morning and coffee is located in main lobby all day. One thing I would do differently is pay to park at the hotel. I thought i would be able to add it on when we arrived, but they only have a few spots and they were filled the whole time. We parked around the corner at the garage and made it work, but avoid the stress and just add it prior to arrival to ensure you will get a spot. Overall, the city is dog tolerant versus dog friendly as we had a hard time finding places that would even allow dogs to be on the patio, but the hotel was 10/10 dog friendly. The front desk supervisor, Rahima, was excellent! She went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed and assist us with finding good restaurants nearby. Her recommendations did not disappoint. We would gladly stay here again.

Perfectly located with a friendly staff. There is a nice coffee machine in lobby with ability to make lattes & hot chocolate. We had a double queen and the room was huge! A curtain separated the 2 sleeping areas for privacy. Rooms were clean with some furniture a bit worn. Would definitely book again. Book through site for free breakfast.

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and It’s located right at the heart of Old Quebec City. The hotel is walking distance from all the sightseeing places and restaurants. If you make reservations through their own hotel website you get morning breakfast for free otherwise you pay $10 per person per breakfast and children get it for free. Make sure to reserve parking spot in advance otherwise you are at the risk of not getting one (it’s $24 per night) and you’ll have to park in public parking few minutes walk from the hotel. The staff were super nice including Front desk staff Carla and Maxime who had big smile on their face. They made sure that i was happy with my stay and treated me very well. I will definitely come again :)

Location of this hotel is perfect, so easy to walk around the old city, to Carnival, or to anywhere across the city from this spot. The room was large but felt a bit old and could use a some updating/care, but was okay. Very quiet at night which was really nice, and a good included breakfast in the morning. I was just expecting something slightly more updated but it certainly wasn't in poor condition. And the location truly can't be beat!

Pet friendly and great location. Walking distance to a lot of restaurants. I couldn't reserve a parking spot on site but we parked close by for <$17 all day. We stayed for two nights and there were no room cleaning services the next day. The room is dusty and dirty causing major allergy issues. For the price, it is not worth the stay if we knew the rooms are dusty with wall carpets, old and outdated in room amenities. The front desk receptionists weren't very clear with my room costs and still haven't received my receipts yet as they said I would.

Great location. Walking distance to most sites. We stayed in a superior room which was really nice with a good view and a great bed. The sink in the bathroom was messed up and not draining well but not a deal breaker. Breakfast was a little lacking but better then nothing. Will stay here again next time we come for sure. Parking is pretty tight. Really only good for cars or compact SUVs.

The front desk staff seemed overwhelmed with check-ins when we arrived. We stayed three nights and not once was our room visited to even empty garbage, let alone clean room, refill toilet paper, tissue, towels, etc. We were not given an option of skipping a daily room visit to be replenished items. It was simply a case of no one showing up. Breakfast was ok at best. I will say the croissant each morning was excellent. The rest of the breakfast was ok, at best. No gluten free option for the bread. The coffee station in the lobby was always a mess and even milk or cream for the coffee was rarely, if at all, available…and the staff did not seem to care. When we enquired about the availability of milk or cream, all we got was “no”. No explanation of why we could not get any or an apology for it not being available. I realize hotels in Old Quebec are a tourist trap however for the price we paid, the rooms and service was lacking.

Simple room/hotel in a great location. AC When we booked we specifically asked about parking and were told yes it was available to us, but when we got there we were told we had to park in a public parking lot a couple blocks away and pay 20$/day. The hotel is fine. Rooms are simple but fine for our purposes with AC and decorated with older pieces of furniture that fit the time period of the hotel. There is a breakfast available, for a fee (13-15$/person), but we could've to go elsewhere. Staff were great! Our bathroom sink didn't drain well at all, but I didn't report it, didn't want to get into all that since we weren't there for too long.

Off the beaten path just slightly. Just far enough away, by a couple of blocks, from all the traffic, foot and auto, to enjoy a comfortable quiet room. Rooms are spacious and well maintained. They offer breakfast for a price as well as a few other items but also have free coffee and tea. The front desk staff are both friendly and very helpful thankfully speaking English as well as French. The location is within a few short blocks of shopping and eateries.

First things first, this hotel is in a great location. Period. Can't beat that. It's right on the heart of Old Quebec and just super close to most old town sights and foods and shops. It's the perfect location. Even a little far out it's still manageable but the uphill trek is your battle. The room was clean, the bed comfy, enough pillows and linen, water pressure was good, didn't need A/C nor heating as it was early summer when we stayed so it was just open windows for us. Free breakfast was basic and delivered to our door each morning. Would have loved it if it's full sit down instead at their dining area. I didn't particularly like the faucet as it's weird and splashes everywhere. The staff (reception) was very nice to accommodate our late night arrival and very helpful throughout even up until check-out. Price is high during our visit but competitive as it's the beginning of tourist season. Will definitely stay here again if given the chance and will recommend to friends and family for certain 🙂

This hotel is trying to be shabby chic and really only excelling at the shabby part. The hotel and rooms are quite rough around the edges and need a lot of sprucing up. Staff could be more welcoming to English speaking guests. The A/C in room 55 rattled so bad I had to turn it off to sleep. The paper bag at your door breakfast was underwhelming to say the least (juice boxes, apple sauce and hard boiled eggs?) and there is no coffee or tea in the room. The only real advantage to this hotel is its central location in Old Quebec City. The bed and bathroom were at least semi tidy and clean. You pay premium rates and get basic level accommodations.

Excellent hotel. Rooms nice. Great location. Staff is wonderful, especially Marine. She gave me excellent recommendations for local restaurants and sight seeing. Great job!

Our concierge, Marine, was wonderful! She made several great local restaurant suggestions and helped us get seating for 5 at Chez Jules. On street parking available for 2 hours if you do not reserve hotel parking ahead of time, but Marine also helped us get easy garage parking right around the corner. Our rooms were clean, comfortable, and very well equipped for a great stay in Old Quebec!

Make sure to use HotelDuIIy.ᴄᴏm when booking a place. This site will compare countless booking websites and usually will have rates much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This place is one of my favorites in the area. I have been staying here for a long time. If you decide to stay here you won't regret it.

Absolutely gorgeous and GREAT price. Everything about this hotel was lovely. From the amazing staff, great morning coffee and old key experience, this hotel was charming and exceeded my expectations. My only regret was staying for 1 night!

Perfect stay for our short visit in Old Quebec City! Out room as comfortable, clean and very spacious! The staff was very friendly and helpful! A big plus that that the hotel is cat friendly! The location of the hotel was perfect for everywhere we wanted/need to walk! If ever back in the area, we would definately stay again!

Bed was super comfortable with the right amount of bedding. Not too hot, not too cold ... just right! Room was clean and amply supplied with all the amenities. Shower was delightful. Desk staff was wonderful and accommodating with luggage storage and getting us a taxi.

We are regular customers to this establishment and every time service has been fantastic(even during the pandemic). Heartfelt gratitude to the front office and house keeping staff for taking good care of us. See you all soon!! Love the accommodation and location.

Large comfortable rooms. Great location, easy walking distance from the sites of the old city. Excellent friendly service. It's nice to have breakfast included and to have a cappuccino machine in the lobby. Highly recommended.

Comfy, spacious rooms. Great location in the heart of Old Quebec.

  • 5/5 Pavel G. 2 years ago on Google
The location is amazing! The rooms are pretty basic but good. The breakfast is included if you book directly but not through Hotels.com. You do have a paid parking on site but if you are driving a big car, you better be very good at parking in very tight spots. The service and staff could care more about your needs but do well enough. Overall, absolutely recommended for Quebec city stay!

A great experience in the heart of downtown Quebec City. We stayed here for 4 nights and were glad that we booked our stay here. The cold breakfast provided in the morning everyday is more than you can have. The room was perfect and had a nice view on Rue St Anne. Overall a great experience.

Amazing quaint hotel, located close to everything you want to see in the old town of Quebec City. It’s close to the Christmas market. A continental breakfast was delivered every day at 7 am to our room. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate available in the lobby 24 hours a day. They have a wine bar by the glass for nights when you need to just relax. Our room was large with a small sitting area with a table and wing back chair. If you have a choice stay in the older part of the hotel. We had a small table and chairs outside on the second floor terrace that would of been nice in the summer time to use. We got in early and were able to store our luggage so we could start our exploring of the city. They even called a taxi for me to arrive at 5 am. Amazing customer service, very friendly. I would stay here again

A very beautiful cozy hotel in the heart of Old Quebec city! Loved their daily breakfast and free coffee (Coffee Machine in the lobby). Will surely stay here if we visit again!

The Hotel is in a great location inside the old City and close to all amenities. It's ideal if on a budget for a few days. Nice staff. Slight issue with their breakfast service. It was delivered to our door each morning from 7.00am. Pretty basic, not something to write home about, No coffee in the room, you have to go downstairs to the foyer, take it back to the room or drink down in their breakfast room! They did say they are looking to change this. It should be changed very soon as it is detrimental to what is otherwise a reasonably nice Hotel.

We had an unfortunate stay here. Our room was dirty and in poor condition and unfortunately the only staff we ever saw working were young adults who were high at work and didn't care. Our room was dirty, had mould in the bathroom and blood stains on the sheets. The soap dispenser in the bathroom has water in it and was almost empty. VERY disappointed. Unfortunately this hotel was the worst part of our time in Quebec.

Great place, simple, efficient check-in/out process. Free coffee / tea for everyone all the time and it's even quite good! Good value for the price. huge room, clean, and very quiet.

The staff was friendly and helpful. Free coffee was available in the lobby with espresso, cappuccino, latte, hot chocolate, hot milk, etc. We stayed in the older section of the hotel on the 3rd floor without an elevator (wished it was mentioned on the room description). However, it was the only room on the floor, had a lot of privacy, and was very spacious with a full kitchen and living room. It was like a studio apartment with extra room for a single bed. We love our stay and it was very convenient within walking distance to everywhere within the old Quebec City. The hotel was also pet-friendly and our dog loved the stay.

Great place to stay! Nice location! Close to Rue Saint-jean, Chateau Fontrenac, and restaurants. Rooms are comfortable. Had a two beds with a divider that allowed for privacy. Coffee/hot chocolate machine is free. There was actually a decent amount for breakfast including apple sauce, croissant, muffins, orange juice, and likely boiled eggs. Receptionists were helpful. You get this historic charm/vibe that fits in with Old Quebec. Would definitely recommend!

Very cute and cool hotel. I loved the art I. The lobby. Very near the prison turned library and in old Quebec near New Quebec. There is a wine bar you can buy credit for. Breakfast is included. Different organization of breakfast than usual, there's no options it is placed outside the door to your room and the coffee machine is 24hrs avaliable in the lobby and not in your room. COVID 19 safety protocols are in effect but I was displeased with the level of cleanliness in the room. Looked rushed, for example there were contact lenses were left in the tub. Pet friendly accommodations are avaliable here.

Great place to stay for a decent price. Close to Quebec downtown, Rue Saint-jean, Chateau Fontrenac and restaurants. Rooms are comfortable and coffee is free. Breakfast could be better as it is still Covid-19 measures. Receptionists are very kind and helpful. I would come back here for another stay.
