This is one of the finest hotels in Quebec City. I stayed in one of the more luxurious suites offering separate living room, bedroom with a wide panoramic view of the city. The hotel has a pool and a fine restaurant. The staff are professional trained. Highly recommend

Gorgeous! I stayed in the Horizon room and I loved it! The balcony and view is exceptional. I loved how spacious the entryway was, the tiling on the bathroom, the beds and bedding - all made for a luxurious treat. The Room is impeccably clean. The location is excellent - right next to the Old City (but easy to get to if you’re trying to catch cab) and there is a small Christmas market and skating rink across the street. The Christmas decorations and the welcoming, friendly porters and amazing friendly and professional staff just take it over the top! I adored the vibe - felt like a classic Christmas movie. The design, furnishings and attention to detail make it an extraordinarily romantic experience.

We loved this hotel! Luxury and wonderful location. Step out of the hotel and you walk right into Old Quebec. Room was beautiful and comfortable. Staff were always friendly and helpful. Whatever is used to scent the lobby was absolutely wonderful (I need to know that scent, I want it for my home!!). Parking is tricky but use valet service which would make it much easier. Would 100% stay here again!

This hotel is stunning and in a perfect location for exploring Quebec City. The views were beautiful, the pool was not busy and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would say it's geared toward couples and has a very upscale and romantic feel. Only complaint we had was that the TV did not have any streaming capabilities.

This is a fantastic hotel with lots of history an amazing building. We upgraded to a balcony room which wasn’t really worth it! Looking at the hotel plan the rooms without balconies were bigger and certainly wouldn’t have cost well over 600 dollars a night! That being said everything else about the hotel is fantastic from the restaurant to the gym and the pool on the 9th floor which has excellent views. The location of this hotel is perfect just outside the walls and literally 1 minute walk if that to the bars, restaurants and shops. I would definitely recommend this hotel but wouldn’t recommend going for a balcony room if you’re there more than 1 night. A definite place to stay!

The staff was very polite and welcoming, making me feel right at home. The level of service provided by the employees was truly exceptional and it's clear that they take pride in their work. The view from my room was absolutely fantastic, providing a breathtaking panoramic view of the city. I spent hours just staring out of the window, taking in the stunning sights. The room itself was also incredibly comfortable and well-appointed, with all the amenities I could ask for. With its exceptional service and stunning views, it's truly a must-visit destination. I give this hotel a solid 5 stars!"

Highly recommend this beautiful historical yet newly renovated hotel. My room was in pristine condition , wall to ceiling windows to beautiful old Quebec. The staff was courteous and helpful. The bar CHUBBY was the best. Highly recommend the restaurant on the main level. We enjoyed an exceptional meal and service on the patio.

Everything about this hotel is completely amazing. From the moment we walked in, we felt like we were living large. The reception area is gorgeous, the rooms are beautiful and the amenities are great. It's attached to the beautiful Le Capitole Theater where we caught a Rolling Stones cover band show. The gorgeous rooftop pool is a nice touch. The concierge was super helpful in giving us information and steering us in the right direction for great restaurants and tours. I can't say anything negative about this hotel!

It was my first time in Quebec city and Le Capitole was a great choice! The location was excellent, literally 2 minutes walk to all restaurants and the old town. The staff were all superb, they were all very friendly and accommodating. I was also extremely impressed by how clean the room and the whole hotel was. From the corner of the bathroom to each glass and cup we took out, all in a supreme condition. I am extremely allergic to dust mites but I didn't feel anything there. The only thing was the pool... it was not really a pool but a HUGE hot tub to me.... eh... the view in the pool was nice to look at though.. haha. :) Highly recommend the hotel!

This is hands-down the very best hotel we have ever stayed at! We are in a suite room 801 with a fantastic view of old Quebec and the room itself has wonderful amenities, decor, and comfort. The service in this hotel is excellent, when our coffee machine broke someone was up within 10 minutes. When we needed more coffee someone was in our room with more supplies within 10 minutes. When we asked for room service, it was the same thing! The restaurant food was bar drinks were also excellent. The views from our room are spectacular not to mention on the ninth floor where there is a rooftop pool and deck. Stunning at night time as well. The hotel is located right at the old city wall and you can walk to all the most important amenities and sites within 20 minutes. We also got the valet parking service which is a steal at just $30 per day. Again I highly recommend the service.

Very rude unhelpful snooty staff. We paid 1,200 for one night and felt very let down. The room and location were great no complaints their but for 1,200 they don’t provide anything in the room for a suite they had 2 coffee pods and 2 creams like wow guys don’t go crazy and you can’t even open the machine to fill it with water if you wanted too as they have it shoved under a shelf. Also I would say skip the breakfast package as you are overcharged on it and can just go to any local restaurant for a much better meal and experience as it’s by far not gourmet as they have listed and the restaurant staff seems annoying that you are using hotel coupons for food. Main complaint horrible rude staff just a bunch of clueless young kids.

Just outside of one of Old Quebec City's gate, our room had a fantastic view overlooking the wall. The location is extremely convenient and walking distance from a lot of restaurants and other major attractions. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the room we were in had lovely modern decor and a balcony. The view from the pool is also stunning and worth a visit even if you don't plan on getting wet. The pool itself is more like a big jacuzzi and not really intended for swimming, but there are a lot of comfy chairs nearby to enjoy the view. There is parking available across the street in a reasonably priced parking garage. I would definitely recommend the Capitole.

Stayed for four nights at Le Capitole Hotel at the end of November 2021 for our honeymoon. We absolutely loved our stay! Room was clean and very cozy with nice big windows. Location was great. Nice pool with a view. Breakfast was always so delicious. Can't wait to come back!

Booking pictures have hardwood floor, but rooms are carpet, I have allergies to carpet and did not enjoy my stay, asked the reception to change rooms, but they said we don't have anything, on there website and other sites they had available rooms... this is a 3 star hotel at best, almost $500/night! 2 sets of elevators, first go up, then come back down to access the room, not convenient and needed to wait a while for elevators...

I am currently spending this Valentine with the love of my life and it is our first time staying at this hotel. This is our first time travelling to Old Quebec together. The lovely lady at the front desk is helpful and extremely pleasant and gave us information about the hotel and its amenities. Interior of the spa is very chic and I very much click with its modern aesthetic! I’m quite happy with choosing Le Capitole :)

It was an absolutely amazing experience in this hotel. I am very picky when it comes down to cleanliness and this hotel is very clean. From the artistic interior design to welcoming services, this hotel delivered such enjoyable experience for me. Great location and restaurants. The lounge and bar offer very delicious drinks, the concierge service was also outstanding. Definitely will recommend to all my friends and family.

Le Capitole is a lovely 5-star luxury hotel in Quebec City where everyone is sure to feel welcome. The lobby is understated, and the rooms over gorgeous views of Quebec City, comfy beds, boutique amenities. The indoor pool is heated and offers another lovely view of the city. Francine, the concierge, is amazing and so helpful, I highly recommend asking her for advice, tips, and help. I'll definitely be back!

The hotel is beautiful with stylish clean rooms. I’m giving it 2 stars because several things in our room didn’t work: the tv, the coffee machine, some lights. This is a room that’s over $500 per night. The first day our tv didn’t work and they sent two technicians that reeked of cigarettes to try to fix it. When the tv broke again I refused the technicians because it was night and I wasn’t comfortable to sleep in cigarette smell nor do I enjoy random men in my room at night. They insisted to send the technician and after he couldn’t fix it, they upgraded us for another room but only for one night with the promise to fix the tv the next day. The upgraded room was nice (their $800/ night). Only the toilet kept flushing every 20 minutes and the room was right by the lobby level elevator so people were walking there loudly and I couldn’t get any normal sleep that night. We moved back to our room the next day with a fixed tv and an apology note with champagne and breakfast coupons. This was very nice and all would have been forgiven if I wouldn’t have woken up to a broken coffee machine and the tv not working again this morning. All in all this was not a 5 star experience. I also don’t understand how a 5 star hotel has no mini bar? No snacks available for purchase, no drinks of any kind in the room. It’s bare bones inside the rooms. While the hotel is beautiful, it’s clearly not well maintained with everything breaking and no one really thinks about what a 5 star experience beyond a pretty looking room really means.

Giving 3 stars only for the location and good service. However, we expected a lot more given how much we paid for a room here. It was a very basic room and the view was very mediocre. Mind you, we had also paid more for a room with a better view. It was also my first time staying in a "luxury" hotel where basic things like toiletries had to be requested for. Pantry wise - only basic coffee and tea. Could have been better. Update: Response from hotel says that no view is guaranteed unless a suite is booked. We reserved a Room Horizon with King bed, balcony with Old Quebec View and Laurentides view, and had to pay extra for this room (fyi, the rates were double what they are now as it was peak season). Well, either the booking platform (Expedia) or the hotel is being dishonest, then.

LE CPAITOLE looks vintage on outside & very modern inside! The hotel, the, rooms, restaurants are immaculate, very clean. The staff; from the desk, concierge, the bell boys, housekeeping staff, Bartenders & restaurants are so friendly and made us feel right at home. The restaurants offer an adventure in Japanese cuisine & Italian. The Hotel is very close to everything, most times you can walk.we would definitely recommend Le Capitole & will say here again!

Location, the staff were great. And we chose this hotel for their hardwood floor because we have a toddler running around on barefoot. We still cleaned the floor with sweeper wet mop and it wasn't dirty. The bathroom was ample sized and very functional. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Just on one note, the floor was very slippery around lobby so please be careful!

Ten out of ten! Beautifully renovated and appointed hotel. Great attention to detail. Ideal location. All personal were friendly and professional. We could not have suggested any recommendations for our stay. It was perfect and we look forward to our next visit.

Excellent hotel, cozy decor and a lot of attention to detail. It has a great location, very attentive and friendly staff, not to mention extremely professional. We couldn't have chosen a better place than this one, I'm already looking forward to our next visit. Thank you for everything!

Perfect hotel for a stay. Room was clean and spacious as a king bed, had a great view and huge windows. Friendly service. Great free breakfast. And the concierge, who I forgot her name, told me the bistro I selected wasn’t her favorite and she made us a reservation at L'Échaudé Restaurant which was a perfect 10 out of 10 dinner. Lovely stay and well worth it.

Great view room. Lots of windows. Fantastic location for Old Town exploration. However, there is very limited closet space, the towel rack fell off the wall under the weight of two dry towels, and the coffee maker decided to only make small cups, so I have to run it three times to get a regular-sized cup of coffee. Also, housekeeping took the extra towel we had asked for on the first night and took all the hand towels without replacing them.

Stayed some nights in May 2022 for vacation in Quebec. Extraordinary hotel with grand design and prime location directly next to Quebec old town. Clean and spacious rooms are 100% ADA / wheelchair accessible as are bathrooms. Very quiet rooms which is a huge plus, super comfy beds, decent gym. Pool is NOT wheelchair accessible which was both surprising as well as disappointing for a hotel of such class. Pool can only be reached with steps which makes it impossible for wheelchair user to get into the pool. Breakfast is served as a la cart on the Il Theatro restaurant at a discount. However, do not recommend to use that as food quality and taste is mediocre and there is better value for money outside. Hotel staff is very helpful and friendly but the room cleaning stuff is superficial, for instance didn’t refill shower gel and lotion twice in a row despite we explicitly told them to do so. Also they left their cleaning utensils in the room - both very unprofessional for a hotel of that class. Overall still a very good experience and can definitely recommend the hotel.

Beautiful hotel. The suite was unbelievably stunning with the best views of Old QC. However there is a huge lack of service at this hotel. The room service closes way too early, you can’t even get room service on the phone, so you have to actually go to the restaurant to place your order. You’re left to carry your own luggage cart to the room. There’s no fridge in the suite, motels 6’s even have fridges. No mini bar in the room and no stock of items kept at reception. All in all the Hotel is stunning. Great location. I’d definitely come back and recommend but to be a true 5 star hotel this hotel needs to step up their service game.

Great location, right by an entrance to the older part of the city. Plenty of restaurants close by. Beautiful rooms, good restaurant on site and the staff is helpful! I want to know who decorated this place😬 Hope to return one day.

We had an exceptional experience here! Rooms were gorgeous, spacious and clean- and we loved the heated bathroom floors. All staff were kind and courteous and even sent us a bottle of wine when we told them we were celebrating our honeymoon! The 9th floor pool was clean and glamourous- though it's more like a very long hot tub. Location is great to walk down into the city or grab dinner. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful hotel. We booked a King Suite for our anniversary. The concierge surprised us with a bottle of bubbly ready for us when we arrived. The room is gorgeous and the view is spectacular. Highly recommend.

Hotel location is superb, right at the gates to the old city. Has a nice restaurant that offers breakfasts, lunch and dinner. We were on 7th floor where the reception is, and the views were wonderful. On the top floor there is an indoor pool that offers a great view of the city from the floor to ceiling windows. Also there is a few balcony patios and a gym.

I have to admit…I didn’t have much expectation of Le Capitole, but wow. It surpassed any expectations that I had. From the baggage assistance to room service, everything was perfect. Camilla at front desk was super helpful and gave us tips when we asked for things to do. Absolutely stunning location and I look forward to my next stay at Le Capitole!

Located in the heart of Quebec City the Hotel is uniquely constructed with the Lobby and bar located off the 7th floor. The room was clean and the amenities what you'd expect at a 5 star hotel. The best part is there's activities right outside the front door and in hotel fine dining. Quebec City is a great place to be during Christmas and Le Capitole is centrally located in the heart of all the activities Quebec City has to offer.

My husband and I stayed for our 1 year wedding anniversary in October. We immediately felt welcomed by the charismatic staff. Our room had a beautiful view overlooking the city on the 7th floor. The room was spacious and modern with plenty of places for charging our devices and ample storage. Each day our room was meticulously cleaned. The club room is gorgeous and the bartenders were energetic! We did not use the pool, but we viewed the space and it looked like a great place for a brief swim and to relax. There are outdoor terraces with exciting views of the city as well. The hotel is perfectly located with the attractions and restaurants starting only a block away, and the charming side streets Old City, Place Royal, and the “boardwalk” just a few blocks away. We truly enjoyed our stay and would love to return one day.

Great location and view from our balcony. The rooms were clean and staff was extra willing to provide us with clean sheets and towels on request. The TV did not work but it wasn’t the reason we came to Quebec city! Would definitely stay again here. Highly recommend for a high end get away.

  • 5/5 B L. 1 year ago on Google
Absolutely loved this hotel. Staff were incredibly helpful and the location is ideal- not in the heart of the tourist attractions/busyness but just outside of it (by a few feet!). The rooms were small, but nicely done. We had such a lovely view, despite being on the second floor.

We enjoyed a 3 night stay recently and were very impressed with the hotel, staff and amenities. Check in was quick and easy and our room was lovely. The hotel is in an ideal location, close to everything. We enjoyed drinks in the evening at Clubby Bar, and the waiter was attentive and friendly. The pool was a welcome spot after a long day exploring Quebec.

My second visit in past 3 months. This will be our "go to" hotel. Staff always friendly, restaurant food is quite good and location is right at the gates. They do have joining rooms which I dislike so next time I will add that to my booking request. Beds are INCREDIBLE. Place is VERY clean which is a priority for me. Highly recommend.

It was very clean beautiful Hotel. The room was very specious the bed was very comfortable. The view was beautiful especially at night. We were allowed to check before 11am which NO Hotel in Toronto would do. The service was excellent we could not ask for anything more. The Front desk ladies were always with a smile, very courteous, friendly will go out of their way to make our stay memorable. Our return flight was late at night, the check out time was extended by 1 hour. They kept our baggage until we left to the Airport at 4 pm . The Room service, Cleaning crew, all were excellent ++++. The Office Manager Francine was very helpful, very friendly, always willing to answer our questions. We got our monies worth hope to stay in the same Hotel that provides exceptional services. Thank you dear friends for making our stay enjoyable and memorable. Hope to be back

I would like to give this property more than 5 stars because it was just that good! We loved our stay at this hotel and cannot say enough good about it. The location was perfect just outside the old town gate, the hotel was spotless, staff were very hospitable and friendly, the decor was beautiful and the breakfasts that came with the room were amazing! We loved our stay at this hotel and will definitely be back if we are in the city again.

This place was a solid 4.5 star. It is right in between downtown and old Quebec. The rooms were super clean and really cool. We had a city view and it was a nice touch to our stay. The only downside was the two elevators you have to take to get to your room. That gets a bit old when you are just trying to go in and out.

Perfect score on all aspects! I'm so glad to have booked Le Capitole Hotel for our anniversary trip. So classy, yet warm and inviting. Everything was so elegantly appointed and thoughtfully provided. Our room had a breathtaking view of the city, a soaking tub, ample closet space, and spotless and chic bathrooms. The front desk staff was friendly and full of smiles. Room service breakfast was prompt and delicious, but of course, there are countless restaurants nearby from which to choose. The branding and communication is low-key and nonintrusive--no apps, no flood of emails, which I like. Just great service and accurate website photos and details. Compared to other luxury hotels we've visited, we felt Le Capitole is an excellent value and would love to return!
