I had problems with ingrown toenails for almost two years before coming to Caplin Laser. I had two surgeries and one attempt to fix something that had gone wrong after the first one. All three times the anesthesia was incredibly painful, twice did not work properly, and it was painful a long time after the surgeries. The first surgery was a total fiasco, and just made everything worse. The second time the nail started to grow back straight away. I also had infections and had to take morphine preparates to cope with the pain for almost 2 weeks, and I could barely walk. When I met with Jonathan at the first consultation I immediately felt that not only did he know exactly what he was talking about, but he also made sure I was comfortable with everything that would happen. I could ask all the questions I needed, and he explained thoroughly what he thought was the best way forward, which was to remove ingrown tonails on both sides of both big toes. He promised me the anesthesia would not be that painful and that I would hardly have pain afterwards. Although I didn't really believe that, I had heard it before, I felt comfortable going forward with the surgery. The day of the surgery I was extremely nervous, but was welcomed and reassured by Jonathan and his assistant. First of all, the anesthesia. Obviously I could feel it, but it was not anywhere near as painful as I had experienced before. I was so relieved, and managed to relax. I didn't feel any pain during the surgery at all. The whole experience of the day was great, despite my nerves. I went home and expected it to be painful when the anesthesia wore off. But no. I was, and still am, amazed. The only painkillers I took was some regular paracetamol a few times a day for a couple of days. I could walk the next day, and completely normally within a few days. It has now been around 6 months, and my toes are still completely fine, with no signs of it going back to the way it was. There is one mandatory post-op check up, included in the total price, and he will see you if there are any issues after that as well - I did not have any problems afterwards. I can not recommend Jonathan Caplin warmly enough. If you have had bad experiences with a lot of pain and nerves like myself, give Dr Caplin a chance!

Excellent, professional and kind care by Jonathan and the clinic workers. I felt well taken care of, and my situation wasn't that simple since I've had bad trauma with previous surgeries. Worth every penny so far. I recommend going to him before you try any other podiatrist!

Dr. Caplin brings quaint Irish charm to the bustling Israeli shore. The excellence of his bedside manner is second only to his expertise. Also, he has a laser named Shmulik.

Excellent and professional care, the staff is very kind and welcoming. Dr. Caplin was patient and provided great post-operation tips. Just a single appointment for treatment ended up solving everything. Thank you for your tremendous help!

**Update: As of at least several months ago, both toenails seem to have grown in just fine... Amazing. Extremely grateful. Dr. Caplin advised throughout the entire process. Thank you again Dr. Caplin. What can I say.** Original review follows: I had a very positive experience with Dr. Caplin (Jonathan) and his office. Both of my big toe nails and base were damaged from an injury (sports) several months prior, and the situation definitely did not seem to be improving on its own nor with 'home-remdies', to say the least. Most fortunately, I saw Dr. Caplin... He evaluated me, advised me, and soon after performed a procedure to remove both toenails, and now, a couple of months later, thank G-d & G-d willing, the nails and base seem to be re-growing quite properly and all seems to be headed in the right direction. Amazing.. G-d willing it all continues. Highly recommend.

I’d been suffering from ingrown toenails from the age of 15, which makes it 40 years of suffering. A friend recommended jonathan Caplin, who had treated him and countless others in the army. The process is professional and friendly, the procedure quick and painless, the results extraordinary. I wish I had done this 40 years ago, but hey, better late than never right?
