It
is
an
ancient
mosque
located
in
the
village
of
Kusumba,
about
10
km
away
from
the
town
of
Manda
in
the
Naogaon
district
of
Bangladesh.
The
mosque
is
believed
to
have
been
built
in
the
early
15th
century
during
the
rule
of
the
Sultan
of
Bengal,
Nasiruddin
Mahmud
Shah.
The
mosque
is
an
example
of
early
Islamic
architecture
in
Bengal,
with
a
unique
blend
of
Hindu
and
Islamic
motifs.
The
mosque
has
a
rectangular
prayer
hall
with
three
domes
and
two
minarets.
The
walls
of
the
mosque
are
decorated
with
terracotta
plaques
depicting
geometric
and
floral
designs,
as
well
as
scenes
from
the
Quran
and
the
life
of
the
Prophet
Muhammad.
Kusumba
Mosque
is
considered
an
important
historical
and
cultural
landmark
in
Bangladesh,
and
it
has
been
declared
a
protected
monument
by
the
Department
of
Archaeology
of
Bangladesh.
