Very yummy Greek food at very reasonable prices. Service was friendly and fast. The atmosphere was casual but the quality was high.

Great portion! I can’t finish the fries at all and might ask them to give me less to avoid waste of foods! Mix grill gyro was amazing! Love the bread, warm and fresh!

One of the few restaurants I’ll happily drop the cash to enjoy. Takeaways are amazing, but eating inside just adds another level with the charcoal grill providing an amazing ambience. One of the gems of Reading.

We had a fantastic night here after wanting to visit for so long. The authentic Greek food was absolutely amazing. We had the mixed grill platter for two which was HUGE! Personal favourite was the village sausage. All of the staff were very friendly especially the owner who spent some time to talk to us and he even gave us two free shots of Raki (warning: quite strong) Would definitely come back. Felt like we were on holiday.

Fantastic food and lovely staff, made very welcome and welcomed back later in the evening, when we were hungry after having a few drinks in town. very reasonable prices and authentic Greek food. We will be back exharisto.

1000% recommend First time trying greek food and it was stunning. Loved the food, keep in mind that portions are big. We were 7 and shared the meal for 4 adding some extra bread and another salad. But everything was so so tasty, loved it!! The service was also super nice and friendly. Loved everything about this place :)

Very clean and tasty food, fresh to taste, nicely seasoned, the haloumi is very nice. The steak option I went for was tasty and in strips, no gristle or fat. Boy costly for the price, but worth a treat. I’ll definitely try other dishes.

no regrets move to go for a bite. the meat is fresh and tender to the bite, pita bread also super when warm so eat it when it arrives. had a mix of dishes with friends, ranging from mixed grill to skewers and of course some greek salad. greek beer mythos is also decent to wash the food down. oh and the dessert is excellent. i liked the chocolate ferrero the best and word of caution, buy to share pls as it gets way too sweet! can get a bit crowded but it shows the popularity and i guess quality. a thoroughly fun evening.

Tasty indeed. We stopped here for a quick lunch. We ordered the chicken wrap and the lamb souvlaki. Our wraps were savory and just plain delicious. The service was friendly and prompt. The restaurant is casual but visibly clean. We enjoyed our lunch and will likely pay this restaurant another visit.

Forget the big expensive restaurants. Here is THE proper real greek food. It's fast, tasty and sometimes it looks like it's been dropped (see pics) - exactly how it should be! 😂🤤🤤 As someone who grew up eating this stuff, I can vouch for the taste 👌 It was cheap as well. The only downside for some people may be that it's kind of on the road so it's a bit noisy and not "picturesque" 🙄but the food doesn't suffer because of that. Also the tables are not that big, so be prepared if you are going as a party. 😊🍻

We had the big sharer platter and the meat was seasoned well. One person had the salad and really enjoyed it. Would definitely recommend this place for the sharer platter or a tasty takeaway as the meat wasn't dripping in grease.

I eat here regularly because the food is authentic, the portion sizes are great, prices are very reasonable and above all else, the service is fast and friendly. Even when the restaurant is full (frequently the case), food is delivered at lightning speed. I enjoyed the mixed gyros skepasti and the dakos salad (after recently discovering this on a Greek holiday) and both were excellent. And top marks for asking about the enjoyment of our food - on two occasions. Most restaurants don’t seem to bother these days but it was really great to see staff at Tasty Greek Souvlaki obviously cared. Highly recommended.

Ordered a takeaway and after opening it a minute later threw it away. It wasn't even worth getting my money back, staff were rude enough without wanting to complain when their ability to speak English depends on their mood. Everything in the gyros was cold, and slimy. It was as if they took one out the fridge and dropped it into a cold pan of fat. Nothing was cooked, or even warm, everything was greasy. Disgusting "food", clearly a clearing house to launder drug money as no-one would ever eat here. I love Greek food. For that reason I'll never be back, and if the staff have any shame, they'll never reopen.

Their food was excellent, flavourful and surplus! The food came so quickly and every dish was delicious. I had such a nice time and would recommend and go back again! We had the platter for 2 and this was value for money! It’s a small place and tends to get full so keep that in mind

Definitely one to try. The food is fresh and tasty, the service is possibly the best experienced in Reading in recent years and yes, it's clean as everyone else has said. There are always customers in here, which shows they are doing good work, serving great food at a really decent price.

Love this place. Beautiful food, nice atmosphere, lovely well decorated space with clean and pretty toilets. I highly recommend the wraps. I love the grilled veggie wrap with hummus. A great little lunch spot to grab a bite.

Popular small Greek restaurant in Market Place near to the old Post Office. You can either sit inside or on the pavement. Service was okay - you had to wave at them to get attention. Beer selection was OK as well. I went for a Greek beer though there are other options available. The food was great. I had a mixed souvlaki whereas my other half had gyros. With drinks and main course, it came to £33 which was pretty good value.

The staff are so hospitable and friendly, it felt like such a personal dining experience. The food is SO FRESH AND TASTY. You can really tell it’s homemade, delicious, and a great price too. i would recommend you try this place!
