My rating is completely for their authentic food. I usually order chicken dumplings which is my go to. I just loved their dumplings. This is definitely the best authentic dumplings restaurant you can find in GTA for sure. When I dip in a little of chilly sauce in it, then I can feel tonnes of flavor in my mouth with that juicy dumplings. Still they have to do a little much improvements in their cleanliness. But putting that aside during this crisis time everyone order takeouts, so that's not an issue at all for now. But that's a thing for the management to take care of.

We came here for the steam dumplings. We ordered 4 baskets of steam dumplings. 3 plates of pan fried dumplings, fried noodles, beef brisket noodles in soup, hot and sour soup . All the dishes were very delicious. We all really enjoyed it.

Average chinese food restaurant located in Times Square. Although the food is offered at low prices, the quality could use a slight improvement. I tried the steamed pork dumplings and expected them to be outstanding based on the restaurant name, but they were average. The waitress took away the hot sauce while eating without saying anything and never returned it.

DINERS BEWARE. EXPECT ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE AND POOR FOOD SAFETY/HYGIENE Went there for dinner with my fiance. We ordered lamb skewers, beef noodles and steamed pork & mushroom dumplings. The lamb skewers were overpriced (~$17) for its portion size, and they were slightly dry. There are definitely places with better value for that dish. The beef noodles were decent, but I would say other dedicated noodle places do it better. The worst was the steamed pork & mushroom dumplings. While the dumplings were fine, the steam rack it came with was not washed properly or at all (see attached photo). There were leftover sticky rice from a previous customer stuck to the inner side of the steam rack. When we addressed this issue to the waitress, she glanced at it and took the rack away without saying a word. We saw her bring it to another waitress at the front counter to discuss it. That waitress looked at it, shrugged her shoulders and brushed it off as if it's not a big deal. Finally, when we went up to the counter to pay, we had to bring up the issue again to get an answer. Her attitude was nonchalant. She did not offer any sort of apology and simply stated that it was not washed properly. She made it seem like it was not a big deal at all. Annoyed by her response, we dumped down the minimum amount of tips and mutually decided to never ever return to this place.

Edit 6 years later to say BEST SOUP DUMPLINGS IN THE WORLD. I've had them a fair number of places including in China and Michelin-star restaurants in NYC, but these are the best I've ever had. You must order them. Also recommend the A vegetable with garlic and the cabbage and bacon, as well as the Yeung chow fried rice. Editing to add that the pork & garlic scapes are a must! They have become a go-to for me ever since ordering them the first time. Soooo much flavour (wok hei I think?) and a good portion size. Delicious. Also my partner's favourite dumplings here by far are the steamed leek & pork. Very flavourful and juicy! It's soup dumplings for me all the way. Old review: Delicious, juicy dumplings! Had the pork & cabbage and the pork & leek steamed dumplings as well as the soup dumplings. Everything is delicious and full of flavour. Highly recommend this place for dumplings.

Reasonable $12 lunch rice dish specials Shanghai restaurant located within Richmond Hill's Times Square plaza. The majority of items tasted normal for Shanghai restaurant. Nothing stood out. Some item portions are on the smaller side. Savory hot soya milk was mediocre. From our order, their best item was the black bean sauce minced pork noodles. Sticky rice was super tiny. Lunch rice specials for $12 are good value.

My favourite dumpling spot in Richmond Hill. Steamed are great and juicy, fried are crispy and delicious, and personally like the wrap a lot. XLBs are about what you'd expect from most joints and beef noodle soup is solid.

Really really good dumplings! The price is right for the amount of pieces you get. I was quite pleased. The only feedback I would give is the overall layout of the restaurant is a bit tight. And the veggies were waaaaay to undercooked.

Simple place with great dumplings. Both steamed and pan fried dumplings were really good. The only disappointment was that the chives egg shrimp dumpling barely had any shrimp, so don't get that one.

People came here for dumplings, we come here for 310 stewed pickled cabbage & seafood. It’s a fairly small restaurant with authentic Chinese menu. Kids like 120 onion pancake roll & sliced beef. Overall the food is delicious, and the price is pretty reasonable.

Service was garbage but the food is good. Went with my boyfriend to dine in and ordered approx $100 worth of food, some to take home after as well. When paying, as I was leaving my tip, the older lady demanded I tip more. Absolutely unacceptable. Just be grateful I tipped at all because of your poor service. For future knowledge, tips are EARNED not just given because you work at a restaurant. I'll only do take out from now on and not done in. Go for the food, leave because of the staff.

Got the🥟: -Steamed Vegetarian Dumplings -Steamed Leak and Pork Dumplings -Soup Filled Dumplings *** -Pan Fried Beef Dumplings *** -Pan Fried Leek & Pork Dumplings -Boiled Leek, Pork, Shrimp Dumplings The items above with the stars were my favourite. The dumplings were nice and flavourful. Pan Fried dumplings had a good sear. Service was fast. Enjoyed how they provided tea and takeout container for leftovers. If you're in the area it's a nice place to go and try. I wouldn't however go out of my way just to get dumplings here.

Really disappointed. Thought being around for so long would whip up decent Norhern China dishes. But quality really lacking. Tastes bland and disappointing. Looks like the head chef went on break and everything was left to his assistant who barely knows how to cook.

Delicious, hearty, comfort food here in this unassuming restaurant. Dumplings are fresh and fast made. I love their chicken dumplings and their veggie dumplings. Their other menu items are great too especially the savoury sticky rice rolls and their chewy stir fried noodles and the savoury soy milk soup. Prices are good and portions are big. The owner is very nice and will remember if you are a repeat customer. I always look forward to coming here if I'm in the area.

We love the dumplings at this restaurant! We always get the soup filled dumplings, as well as this plate of pancake and pork pictured below. Forgot to grab pics of the rest (ate too fast), but the sweetest lady works here. We’ve been eating here for over a decade and their food is very consistent and hits the spot every time.

Dumplings were good, ordered the soup and the pan fried with noodles and lamb skewers. Prices are fair. Does not take visa, debit and cash only. They give you a pot of tea with your meal. Service was a bit slow even though the restaurant was empty but overall would recommend for dumplings and a quiet night. Casual dining and lowkey.

It is a small one. Service could be little better. However it has to do with language barrier, I guess because its ervers hardly speak English. Parking should be ok unless you arrive during dinner time. Seen cars waiting for a parking spot. Interior design isnt great. But ok clean. As I said, it is small & has only 6 or 7 tables. Food I ordered was great. Not as greasy or starchy as in malls.

A fairly small restaurant with a decently sized authentic Chinese menu. The broth of the braised beef noodle soup was delicious. The ingredients in the soup were all very tender. The lamb dumplings were great until I ended up biting into a bone shard. Overall, not the best Chinese food I have had, but certainly not the worst. As other reviews have noted, beware of the lack of customer service.

Nasty owner - nasty food. Been going here for 10 years+ and this place has slowly but surely gone down hill. On multiple ocassions I have found hair in my food and sent it back. Even one time we found crusty old fried bits of what turned out to be fish/seafood in our sauteed green beans. The tipping point was seeing their kitchen staff emerge from the washroom without washing their hands after having come in from smoking a cigarette. Nasty.

My bowl of noodles with minced pork and paste wad tasty. The soup filled dumplings were delicious and cooked well. They did not break open and spill the yummy soup everywhere. Convenient and satisfying. My wife and daughters lived their dumplings as did I. Place is a bit small mostly for 4 people dining. They do have couple round tables for 6 to 8 people. Food came out quickly. Fried rice was meh.

Straight fire food and service. Best food experience I've had in a long time. I've come here a couple times over the years and this time it has solidified itself. That lady server is GOATed. The service was also mad fast, ordered, got the food in 10, and everything came to our table back to back. Multiple years on end it has always been great food. Always solid, I miss the Garlic Pork though, that used to be one of my favourite meat dishes ever. This time I had the Leek Dumplings, the Cabbage Dumplings, the Soup Dumplings, the Spicy Fish Boil, the Cumin Lamb, and the Pea Shoots. They were all phenomenal. I can't believe this restaurant flexes towards so many regions of cuisine and variety and they're all good. Nothing like as absolutely striking as that Garlic Pork, but all the food was really good. Not too salty, not too oily, everything was very well balanced. The kind of food you can eat over and over again without feeling bad. The absolutely thing that truly makes this one of my only real 5 star reviews is that service. Today is a Chinese Festival where you're supposed to eat this Glutinous rice dumpling and we asked jokingly and they also laughed at first they were like oh we don't make that. But then, the main server lady said her boss had given everyone there some of those rice dumpling home. She said she had already had them at home and offered to serve us them instead, which we graciously accepted.

Ordered pickled cabbage with pork dumplings and bbq lamb. Flavours are good. If you want the dumplings fried (with the bottom crispy) it’s an extra $2 but really worth it. The lamb was very tender. The Chinese bbq style is with a dry rub. Ordered via Uber so didn’t want to try the noodle dishes. But I recall from eating in pre COVID, noodles are not the specialty of this place. So I’d stay clear of them.

They finally renovated the restaurant, it’s more comfortable and clean environment than before! Service was definitely improved, the owner (?) checked on us consistently to make sure everything goes well and the lady kindly welcomed us to be seated. -Wonton&HotSauce: average -Soup Filled Dumplings: average -Sweet&Sour Pork: average (pork was fresh and tender, but the flour batter was little hard to chew) -Leek&Pork Dumplings: great 👍 highly recommend (well balanced) -Onion pancakes: average Overall, the food quality and price was okay!

Pretty decent place for dumplings and Shanghainese food. Restaurant is pretty small and not updated. Will go back to try more dishes.

Food is decent. If you aren't in favor to salt, the dry Sauteed grean bean were quite salty, soup filled dumplings were good. Hot and sour soup went to the garbage, had no flavor. I find this restaurant a bit pricey for what you get. Overall tasty.

Have ordered from this restaurant at least 10-15 times. Previously being forced for leaving 15% tip on takeout i decided to help restaurant since food was decent and i know they are going through tough times. Today went in ordered 2 meals and was charged 15.99 when on door and menu listed 13.99. Enquired and was told "price of forks from China went up" Really by $2 a fork??? Never ordering from here. Plenty of competition in Markham for Chinese food. Someone takes me for a fool and they think this will fly by. No wonder rrstaurant is empty when other ones are packed. Its a matter of principle. Hope her $2 can pay her future bills! When we went back she gave us $1 back. Really? Want to make it better throw in $2.30 with the tax or free apetiser and i may think about it. I feel insulted. Clearly someone has no class!

Tried restaurant for the first time. Braised beef noodle soup was very salty. Dumplings were very small. Tasted ok..nothing to write home about. Over priced.
