BEST COFFEE in Israel!! I haven’t tried EVERY coffee shop yet in Israel but I have tried a large range to say that this coffee shop knows what it’s doing! They roast their own beans (something I believe every respectable coffee shop should do) and they do it well! Also one of the rare places in this country that also writes the roasting date on each bag of beans (which is important to check to make sure your getting a fresh roast). I went 25 minutes out of my way just to come here!!

First and foremost for me - a place with Matcha!! It has been a little shocking that so few coffee places have taken to matcha so far. Birma is also a place with a simple beauty about it. The chairs and tables out on the street give it a very strong community feel. The staff are often pleasant and engaging (except when it is Friday morning busy:) The coffee is also high quality and if you are walking on Emek Refaim, look for a sweet spot for a chat with a friend - this is your spot.

I live in this neighbourhood and this is the only place where I drink coffee or eat patisserie. Reasonable prices, good taste in music, tables in shade , dogs are wellcome

Birma is my absolute favorite coffee shop in Jerusalem! The coffee here is simply outstanding, crafted by highly skilled baristas using beans sourced from some of the best roasters around. Birma also offers a great selection of fresh and delicious pastries. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the staff are always friendly and welcoming! This is definitely the place to be in Jerusalem, and I highly recommend giving it a try!

Birma has the best atmosphere! Their matcha latte is the best I’ve had in Israel and everything in the store is beautiful and clean. Cannot recommend this place enough!

What a great little coffee shop on Emek Refaim, with a great bunch of guys working there. The coffee shop itself is tiny, but there's outdoor seating, which is both comfortable and very pleasant. The outdoor seating is shaded by trees so, even in summer ( in the morning, before intense heat hits Jerusalem) it's a pleasant place to drink coffee and chat. The menu is limited, there is a small selection of ready made sandwiches ( the cheese sandwich is excellent), and a selection of small cakes, pastries, etc. It's a delightful experience... yesterday was my first time there and certainly not my last. On my most recent visit my friends claim this is by far the best coffee in Emek Refaim....and they are the people who know

Great spot to grab a quick coffee. They don’t have indoor seating but they have lots of tables outside (many of them in the shade). Definitely stop by here if you’re exploring Emek.

We live in Sydney Australia where the coffee is excellent, so we usually don't buy when we're in Israel. Our friends told us this was Israel's best cappuccino, and it was. Highly recommended! Glad we made the effort to come try it!❤️❤️

Iced coffee was nothing out of this world, but pretty good. Five stars for the vibe and atmosphere of the place - their outdoor sitting area is very pleasant and feels European.

Absolutely perfect little cafe: great espresso drinks, filter coffee, cold brew, etc, and lovely pastries. The staff is super-friendly and helpful. We're from New York City, are somewhat coffee snobs, and appreciate a flaky pastry. Their chocolate croissant is to die for!

The place itself is small but gorgeous, full of coffee utensils which are highly priced but well selected. They sell their roasts of coffee on shelf, cold brew, as well as Ronnenfeldt teas. I smelled the matcha and found it to be too catered to the western palate, it’s not as fragrant as a tea as it is sweet smelling. Liba in city center has much better matcha in my opinion. The mocha I ordered was disappointing too, the coffee was not strong enough to pair with chocolate, and the chocolate in the mocha was Israeli style sinking at the bottom. I did not expect Israeli style solid chocolate in my coffee from a purportedly professional cafe… Not only that but they also closed the lid so I did not know it required stirring, nor was I told.

Came for a tour of Jerusalem, found this gem of a coffee place in the German Colony. Very kitch & clean atmosphere, outdoor seating in a little pedestrian street on the side of the building. I had an espresso to wake me up followed by an iced match. It was thee best iced match I have ever had. The ice didn't melt fast, so it wasn't watery. It was so good, I ordered a second one. Then the manager, Michael explained to me how to make the iced match in a perfect way. I bought their match powder, and I am now making lattes at home. Michael was joyous and kind, and the atmosphere had a local neighborhood feel.

Best coffee in Jerusalem! If you happen to visit the city, don't miss this magical place. Whether you are a tourist or a local coffee lover, this place offers both quality and a unique atmosphere of Jerusalem coziness. Located in the corner of Emeq Refaim street and Ha- Magid, the two brothers, Michael and Dany offer light-hearted service, an excellent jazzy play list and the best French patisserie to find in Jerusalem. The place also offers some merchandise such as T-shirts and bags, all designed by Michael himself, whose remarkable artistic talent is to remember! A must experience in Jerusalem!

😠 They told us our seats should be ready in 1 hour after an hour they said we are sorry there are no place tonight, they would not even let a party of six to sit on a table of five even though one of them was a child. We asked for a manager and he was one of the most obnoxious managers I have ever me...
