A
Troubling
Experience
at
Hostel
d'Artagnan
in
Paris
My
recent
stay
at
Hostel
d'Artagnan
in
Paris
was
undoubtedly
one
of
the
most
distressing
experiences
I
have
ever
had,
and
it
is
with
great
concern
that
I
share
this
review
to
caution
potential
guests
about
the
numerous
issues
that
plagued
my
visit.
To
begin,
I
must
address
the
reception
staff,
who
were
not
only
aggressive
and
intimidating
but
also
displayed
concerning
behavior.
Specifically,
the
individual
with
long
hair
was
noticeably
under
the
influence
of
drugs
throughout
the
day.
His
disheveled
appearance
and
erratic
behavior
created
an
uncomfortable
environment
that
left
everyone
feeling
uneasy
and
unsafe.
Furthermore,
it
became
apparent
that
these
staff
members
falsely
accused
clients
of
various
things
in
an
attempt
to
assert
their
authority
and
derive
some
twisted
sense
of
satisfaction.
Such
manipulative
tactics
are
deeply
disturbing
and
highlight
a
complete
lack
of
professionalism
and
respect
for
guests.
Adding
to
my
disappointment,
the
majority
of
visitors
staying
at
this
hostel
seemed
uninterested
in
socializing.
Many
of
them
were
in
France
solely
to
look
for
employment
and
showed
no
inclination
to
engage
in
social
interactions
or
foster
a
friendly
atmosphere.
Instead,
some
guests
displayed
disruptive
behavior,
including
loud
talking
during
the
night
and
inconsiderate
use
of
bright
lights.
It
was
clear
that
the
hostel
attracted
a
mix
of
individuals,
including
psychiatric
patients,
which
further
contributed
to
a
chaotic
and
unsettling
environment.
As
echoed
in
other
reviews,
the
presence
of
coach
roaches
in
the
rooms
was
an
appalling
and
unhygienic
issue
that
simply
cannot
be
overlooked.
Despite
the
absence
of
any
visible
signs
of
uncleanliness,
these
repulsive
pests
infested
the
sleeping
quarters.
The
distressing
experience
of
having
hundreds
of
coach
roaches
crawling
on
your
face
at
night
was
nothing
short
of
a
nightmare.
Hostel
d'Artagnan
must
urgently
address
and
rectify
these
severe
issues
if
they
wish
to
salvage
their
rapidly
plummeting
reputation.
The
treatment
of
guests,
the
lack
of
social
atmosphere,
and
the
infestation
of
coach
roaches
are
all
indicators
of
a
hostel
that
has
lost
sight
of
basic
hospitality
standards.
In
conclusion,
I
strongly
advise
against
choosing
Hostel
d'Artagnan
in
Paris
as
your
accommodation
option.
The
aggressive
and
intimidating
reception
staff,
the
unsocial
and
disruptive
atmosphere,
and
the
presence
of
coach
roach
infestations
create
an
utterly
appalling
and
distressing
experience.
I
implore
prospective
guests
to
explore
alternative
hostels
in
Paris
that
prioritize
guest
well-being,
maintain
cleanliness,
and
treat
their
visitors
with
the
respect
and
dignity
they
deserve.
