A very nice restaurant with a great vibe, and delicious food! I can very much recommend the burgers and the Caesar salad! Their sweet potato fries are also worthwhile however! I guess this is not a place where you can order a coffee and sit and talk with your friends. Yesterday the restaurant was completely empty. We were not taking up any space. But we were not allowed to sit and talk comfortably because the waiter kept coming and coming and asking is everything good. So they want either us to leave or buy something else. I am not saying that this is bad. I understand if it's the restaurant policy then it's fine. But to those who are reading my comment, if you want a place to sit and have a coffee and some snacks and chat then find a different place.

The staff at Alex Rostock has so very much to learn from their colleagues at Alex Dresden when it comes to service attitude towards customers! Visited Alex Rostock today around 7:15 PM. When we sat down at the outdoor table there were no menus on the table. 15 minutes later a waiter appeared. He mumbled something like "What do you want?" How could we even know what to order, if we were not given any menus?? We looked up the online menu on our cellphones and placed an order with the waiter. We got the warm food served by a different waiter. He spoke some words in German. When we said: "Sorry, English?" he just walked away and left us without plates, napkins, cutlery etc.! Such a bad service! Really poorly! I left our table and went into the restaurant to get some plates, napkins and cutlery myself. I found out that just 1 waiter seemed to be able to speak English but he was busy talking to some of his friends. The other guests were looking at us and laughing as we had to provide these things for ourselves. It is apparently REALLY hard to get good staff these times (pandemic times) but this was a TOTAL dragrace how we were treated! International speaking guests should go to Kai 40 at Radisson instead!

Today I try again my favorite cake Red velvet and it's was so much better it creamy and soft love it, and the carrot cake also really good, and of course the waiter here are so friendly
