Locate beside the river Chitra, this resort has an overall quaint environment. Rooms are nice and cosy. Rooms can use a little revamp as they have dated out. However staff are nice and friendly. Dining facility is limited but food is good. Every Thursday they have live music in the premises. Considering the location, it is overall recommended for family or group stays.

Chitra Resort is just awesome 👏 This is the best eco-tourism destination in Bangladesh, and absolutely an amazing family experience. This is in the midst of an awesome natural ecosystem- having Chitra river (I have given some pictures taken from inside the resort) on one side and long natural forest on another. Rooms / Cottages are beautifully done. They have several restaurants/ cafe - excellent decor and yummy foods and delicious drinks. And I guess - for corporate leadership - it could be a perfect destination for offsite. We came as a family and just loved it ❤️

A laid-back resort, good for a couple of days relaxation - especially if you're in one of the three cottages by the Chitra River. Overall, the resort is well laid out, with attractive features, including the Fairy Tale Forest and the Bamboo Castle. There is even a short trekking area behind the resort, which one can reach by crossing an exciting rope bridge. The rest and relaxation platforms placed strategically along the Chitra River are an added attraction. However, like any resort, it has its negative and positive sides. Positives: 1. A very good Manager and a friendly and helpful staff. 2. Well laid-out. 3. Scenic view, being on the river bank. 4. Food is fairly good. 5. The rates are fairly reasonable and rather affordable. Negatives: 1. The boat for rides (which is Tk: 1500.00 per hour) needs some serious maintenance work and upgrading. 2. There has to be a proper pier for boarding the boat. The existing one is inadequate and dangerous. 3. The dining area (apart from the Bamboo Castle) is rather pedestrian, and needs to be upgraded. 4. The tea/coffee arrangement in the cottage has no electrical point nearby, for the electric kettle. We had to use the socket in the bathroom. 5. The cottage needs to have a microwave oven and certainly a better quality fridge. 6. The cottage needs to be properly mosquito-proofed. 7. The food, though good, lacks variety.

It is good only for its location. But room amenities, foods, cleanliness is very poor, in fact very dirty. it is not expected.

This resort is excellent with natural views! Thanks for your nice initiative. But it will be better if you improve some areas: 1. The dining area is too far from cottage and bamboo castle. It is needed to be upgraded. 2. The cottage needs to have a microwave oven. 3. Jacuzzi was not comfortable for all kind of people, specifically older people. 4. Some staff behaviour was not good. They don't know how to handle customers. It is needed to provide suitable training for them. 5. Services and food was not up to a decent quality. 6. Outsiders come to take pictures and hang out inside the residential area of the cottage. As a result, the privacy of those who come to stay in the cottage is lost. 7. The bathroom glass window has a very large gap due to the lack of rods. As a result anyone can easily enter the cottage from outside. Moreover, there is no opportunity to block the bathroom door from inside the room. As a result, we felt very insecure.

Natural setting is excellent on the bank of the river Chitra. One can spend hours just by sitting in the balcony if one takes a riverview cottage. They also have boat rides which the guests can enjoy by hiring the boat for 1500 taka for one hour. However, the restaurant is not up to the mark, and hotel management should consider changing the chef.

The resort is located just at the bank of Chitra river so it gives a mind blowing natural environment. The premises is very calm and quiet. Room and food is also very good. Then comes the big BUT… the service is very poor. Being a room guest we had to wait for an hour at waiting room as our room was occupied by some high officials, who was not a room guest. During dinner same things happened, dining space for room guests were occupied by the nonresident guests. We have informed the management time and again, they didn’t take any proper action.

Chitra Resort is one of the beautiful and scenic resorts in Southern Bengal located on the bank of Chitra river. Only 3 hours journey from Gulistan. Service of the staff is 9/10. Rooms are also good however needs more maintenance. Rating 7/10. Food is also tasty. Rating 8/10. We took a full board package for 1 night with 4 meals. Recommended.

But It is beside of the river so that people can enjoy the natural beauty.Authority should make a park with many rides.It will be very good for the children. the check in was super late than the time we were told to, the Bangla food was good but the BBQ and naan was really bad, nice place to stay but they seriously need to up their game on the service.

Checked us in really late ,the set meals were satisfactory but the bbqs sucked (wouldn't recommend)
