I had a really wonderful experience end-to-end with Jessica, Norman, and the SF Diamond Exchange team when I brought my late grandmother's precious diamond ring in to be re-set. Jessica was genuinely interested in the stone's history, appreciated its emotional significance, and was generous with her time and energy despite knowing that my project was only going to result in a very modest sale. She thoughtfully advised me on some considerations and in doing so her industry knowledge was clear. With her help, I decided to reset the diamond into a bezel pendant that could be worn with a white or yellow gold chain. Her advice centered on my needs, affordability, and timeline-- there was no upselling or steering. She also sent/shared business down the hall with her longtime colleague Danny (whom I also highly recommend and will be writing a separate glowing review for). The resulting piece was beautifully executed-- exactly what I had hoped for and in time to wear on my neck for my mother on Christmas. We have had outstanding service from SFDE, and in particular Sandra Artiga. In 2013 we were in SF and decided to get married at short notice. Sandra not only had the perfect rings, at the right price, but she obtained them in time for our wedding the next day. When I lost my ring, she was able to find an exact replacement, which she shipped to a friend in Atlanta, who delivered it to us in England. I cannot recommend SFDE highly enough.

5 stars, what a wonderful experience. I inherited my grandmothers engagement ring, and was in need of some advice. I am going to propose to my girlfriend, and planned on giving her the ring, but had no idea of the value, or what options were available to me. I was really nervous about finding someone trustworthy. I had heard horror stories about unscrupulous jewelers. I made an appointment with Sandra, for a Friday morning. I can’t say enough good things about the experience, she started by giving me an estimate of the value with it in the original setting. Than helped me select a new setting for it, and was even able to have it set and sized the same day. I came from out if town to get the ring, so getting it done fast was crucial. They even provided an appraisal for insurance purposes and beautiful boxes. Sandra was extremely knowledgeable, and comforting, without being pushy at all. I was riddled with anxiety coming into this experience, and I am so grateful I found the SF Diamond Exchange and Sandra. I would highly recommend this company.
