๐Ÿ‘ We see this a lot in Taiwan and China, but to see one at the section of China Town, between western buildings, of San Francisco is another story. What's more interesting is right across the street, there's one French restaurant, which in the end makes this intersection a lot more international vibe... People often mention Chinatown, Francisco, China, nice, restaurants, shops,

Gateway to Chinatown. After visiting this area, you must go through this door. For photos, stand on the other side of the street outside of Chinatown. This will give you perspective for your photo. And if possible in the afternoon, the light will be better. And then you approach to take a closer look at the statues.

What's more interesting is right across the street, there's one French restaurant, which in the end makes this intersection a lot more international vibe. The 4 character written on it, Tian Xia Wei Gong, by Dr. Sun, means "The World Is For Everyone", perfect for San Francisco.

Such colorful and bright street especially to walk at night. I love the vibrant culture just beside the downtown zone. Best hangout place meet and to experience the culture of China.

The Dragon Gate is the entrance to San Francisco Chinatown. It is located on Grant Street and Bush. The walk from Union Square is somewhat a challenge for my sisters and me. We grew up in Oakland Chinatown, but we like coming here to window shop and get Chinese sausage (lol cheong) from Wycen in the heart of this shopping district. San Francisco Chinatown is also a tourist attraction. Since we're from across the bay, we play tourists to have a little fun.

I love China Town, is beautiful and have a lot of interesting stores, the people over there is really nice! Have good restaurants and a lot of place to walk around, I think the biggest problem is criminality, you can't left nothing inside the car or they will break the windows of you car to take any penny, its very sad what is going on in San Francisco, this is not a problem specifically of China Town but if you are going there you have to be aware.

Chinatown here in SF is quite nice! Very clean and the lanterns are a very nice touch. As one might expect, there are a lot of gift shops clustered mostly around the first couple of streets but as you go deeper into Chinatown, youโ€™ll see a larger variety of shops.

We also walked through Chinatown, it was very interesting lots of shops and lots to eat. We liked it very much. If you are in San Francisco you have to come here.

It's the gate, and that's it. Would be nicer if it was surrounded by some colorful picturesque traditional shops and restaurants, but there's nothing like that even nearby. Japantown, 15 blocks west on Bush and 1 Block south to Buchanan/Sutter, comes noticeably closer in that regard. Then there's also the Japantown Peace Plaza, a somewhat cozy spot to rest for a while (not so much at night - poeple who know the place know why) and at least fairly representative, something that Chinatown is lacking entirely.

There's a lot of good restaurants and little shops for your souvenirs. I would recommend going here earlier as they do close early on the weekends.

This is a popular tourist spot. Go there, take a selfie and enjoy Chinatown. It might be challenging to get a nice picture, though, as this place always seems to be crowded. Apparently this was a gift from China to the city of San Francisco.

Historical landmark entrance into Chinatown SF! Chinatown SF is huge with a variety of vendors, grocers, and restaurants to check out! Really neat area in town to explore Asian cuisine & culture.

231115We. Definitely you will find here many stuff at good prices. The stores located farther away from the gate are the cheapest I guess. Go through all china town Grand Av and find souvenirs and food and many other things at good prices.

Chinatown was my favorite place in San Francisco. There is so much to see, buy, and eat. I recommend walking in every store because they have secret gems. The prices are reasonable. The people are friendly and helpful. We loved it so much, we went back three times. They recommended cash. You get a better deal. Weekends are busier. Best time to go in late morning to afternoon. Some places close early, especially restaurants.

One of the old towns, just some block away from union sq, there are the vintage Chinese camera/mobile shops and Chinese restaurants on the street. The lanterns hung here are beautiful.

Coming here it is a very cool experience, i've been to other cities chinatowns and they are not like this, in here you could really feel that you are walking through the streets of china for a bit, everything cha ges, all the ambient, people and suddenly you find yourself between thousands of people and surrounded by local and traditional stores, would recommend stopping by

Its a nice picture spot while youโ€™re visiting Chinatown, the Chinatown it self closes pretty early but the gate makes a nice spot for picture. Itโ€™s in short walking distance from union square.

Great place to walk around and see the iconic Chinatown in San Francisco. Went went for Chinese New Year and there was a huge parade and lots of festivities. Highly recommend.
