This gym is enormous! They have all the latest equipment and keep this location incredibly clean. I love they have weights in 2.5lb increments (22.5lb and 27.5lb dumbbells)! It’s very spacious and the equipment is placed strategic for many types of workouts.

$315/ month, plus $5 each time you park. Extremely hard to get to this location because you have to go around Market St. The equipment is nice, not crowded but somehow I can't feel comfortable while I'm there. Might be the mean-spirited staff, they got Attitudes!!! They love to take people to the side room to give a good “principal’s office” moment. Anyways, Not the best way to spend my money during covid.

Conveniently located adjacent to Four Seasons Hotel on Market Street and with direct access on the 4th level. Huge fitness center with several floors and sections depending on what you wish to work out, large cardio sections with view over Market street. Very clean and organised club, with water and towels on each floor.

Great gym I go almost everyday. I do have to say I am disappointed with management’s decision to close the gym at 6pm on the weekends. The hours seriously need to be reevaluated for a post-covid world and I have voiced this frustration multiple times. I am considering joining a gym with more accommodating hours if Equinox has no intention of restoring the full utility of its clubs, which the price tag certainly warrants.

I worked out here this weekend, whilst staying at the Four Seasons next door. Top notch gym with nice views of market st. The equipment is excellent and very clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Look forward to returning the next time I’m in SF.

Today was not a good day as I was leaving the Club after my workout, I was letting my liquid lipstick dry. I was holding my mask a woman whom I've never seen before Orders me to put on my mask. It struck me sideways- I pay a lot to go there, I don't appreciate being ordered to do anything. I know masks are extremely important, I resent being Ordered by anyone, treated badly. I told her I d put it on when I was good and ready. Then I put it on at the elevator. She shouted “Thank You” I shouted back go to hell. Now I'm a bit embarrassed but she needs to request rather than order. Plus the pool just simply isn't clean enough, there should be no skin scum anywhere but there is and I'm continually irritated at this issue. Considering Covid and regular hygiene it should be sparkling clean, it's not. It’s all worked out, I apologized for my angry outburst and all is well I love the Club

Rude front desk staff and very inconsiderate with four longtime Equinox members. Older gym w/several floors, needs some upgrades and improvements, especially w/the silly condescending front desk staff. Unacceptable and nothing like any Equinox I have experienced before. I have been going to this gym off and on even before it was Equinox and was a LA Sports Club. I have never experienced bad service from this location until today. I will not recommend this location to anyone who wants to workout in SF. There are other Equinox locations that treat members professionally and are much newer and welcoming. The Union Street, Pine Street locations are much more welcoming and I would recommend Beale street but it has unfortunately been closed since the pandemic.

Clean gym and I usually bring my headphones when I work out, but sometimes I forget or the battery dies mid workout. The trainers should be more focused on their jobs instead of flirting with customers. I was working out near Ellen Pointer and she seemed more into flirting than focusing on work. Management should have a talk with staff about professionalism.

Definitely not worth the price. Besides the fact that most of the staff has an attitude, no one from the trainers would offer to help or talk unless you are purchasing hours with them. Also, the hygiene is not the greatest comparing it with other to other Equnioxes in the country. If you are in San Francisco, save your money and go somewhere else.

This is the best equinox in the city, which isn’t saying much. Too little of the frequently used equipment like leg extensions (one machine in the entire gym). Beautiful locker room and amenities that are all extremely clean. Gym etiquette is non-existent. This is the kind of gym where most people won’t let you work in and like to ”claim” machines. Very entitled clientele. As a result, the vibe is usually either cruisy or passive aggressive (and both) like many gyms in this city. At least this location is spacious enough so the bad vibes are not as overwhelming as in others.

Visit here sometimes. I feel that the gym is pretty good. It is surprisingly crowded during the weekends. I don't like the early closing times (6PM) on weekends though. The pool is also usually crowded as well with some people taking over 30 minutes doing laps. There doesn't seem to be too many people to play against in the basketball court as well, unfortunately. The cost per month is pretty high though even to my standards compared to other gym competitors in the SF area. The equipment variety and quantity is decent here. I like the 3rd floor better than the small 2nd though. Locker room is very big and good.

Well equipped gym, kinda odd with the front desk being on the top floor, but the staff is friendly and accomodating. Everything is very clean and maintained, any amenity you could think of, not sure if it’s worth $300 a month considering the other option, but if you are in to fitness, it offers virtually any option you can think of in a well maintained environment

This is a beautiful luxury gym and it has all the equipment you will ever need. The staff tirelessly cleans everything and it is spotless. my honest review after being a member: 5 stars: the space 5 stars: cleanliness 5 stars: location and upscale gym experience. A really nice place to hang out and spend a few hours each day. 5 stars: trainers and staff. 3.5 stars: signature classes are good but not great. Over all 3 stars: why? 3 stars for hours of operation. Should be open until later on weekdays and weekends even with minimum staff. If 24 hr fitness can do it on $20 membership, these guys can too. 3.5 stars for classes: the classes are good but they are all 45 minutes and they don’t have a good barbell class that compares to body pump or a boot camp. Having a solid boot camp would earn 1 additional star from me. 2 stars: membership contract and ease of enrollment, but difficulty of cancellation if you have to do it under a year. This gym is extremely inflexible with any issues that come up with membership. Also, I found that their freeze policy is extremely unfriendly because they continue to bill you during the freeze period at full price. And then they extend after the one year mark. I hate that a lot of gyms have these types of predatory fine print policies where they don’t have any flexibility for their members. Just beware before signing up that it is difficult to change your mind or deal with if issues come up. 3.5 stars: price/value considering hours and wide range of classes. Biggest improvements for 5 stars would be add a bootcamp for 1 hour. Extend hours of operation. Price is fine. It’s a luxury gym. I don’t mind the price if the experience is great.

I'm new to the membership, and it's a little early days, but I'm having a very positive experience so far! Effortlessly my favourite gym experience. It makes gym-going so easy, it has everything. Appreciate the intentional little touches from the eucalyptus towels, to the way the equipment are arranged. Yoga studios can be used as a meditation space. And lighting is flattering AF! There's very rarely a crowd, and the people that are there have A+ vibes. The staff have been kind, friendly, and polite. And as early as my interest-checking days, they made me feel like the business I bring matters. They constantly checked in on me through texts and emails, and not in an annoying way! Also, read some reviews that say the interiors feel pretentious. THAT's what I love -- the slight glam of it all! And if you ask me, it's actually not that luxe-looking. It could benefit from dialling it up more. Appreciate the shop and the spa too, though I don't use either that much. It feels like a tiny hotel that just happens to be a gym. Recommend people trying this out!

The equipment isn't amazing tbh. The basketball court and pool are really nice. The classes are really nice. The washroom / showers are amazing. I like the lobby where I can just work for a bit. = 4 stars. But I like how there's alot or empty yoga rooms so I have a place to pray. Bringing it back up to 5 stars

Felt good going here as a gym newb with the AMEX Centurion membership. Staff are not pretentious, and clients of all skill levels made me feel comfortable. (many just guests of the Four Seasons in the same building). Definitely worth the trip if you are able to get access/membership.

As a member here I must say the gym is amazing but the biggest problem with me is the hours of operation. I don’t get why out of all gyms in SF this is they gum that closed they riskiest being the most expensive as well. It everyone has scheduled that allow then to go during their hours of operations. As well as weekends they close as 6…on weekends? Is this for their employees or what because weekends should be open later it’s a weekend not a weekday

No pricing on website, went there in person 2-3mo ago asking for pricing, waited 10min then they asked for my number to call me back, they never did. I don't understand whats so hard about telling people the prices, seems a bit predatory.

The only gym I've joined that's been able to keep me coming back/ stick with the habit of working out. Awesome facilities, incredible equipment, clean... depending on the time of day, reasonably spacious. The classes are good and their personal trainers will work with you to make fitness a habit. ...it's just pricey...

It’s been great! The staff is very friendly and supportive. Always someone around to assist. Great events , also the facility is very clean and huge. The memberships offer great amenities, it’s up to you to take advantage. Respectful people are members! Emilio is one of the best to get you all setup! Ask for him and he will make sure you get the right arrangements. 2023 ! Let’s Go!

It gets the job done, but for the price it is probably the dumbest financial decision, it is similar to a NY Sports club for 10x the price. I'd recommend the Sports club equinox version, they have way more amenities!

They charge $300 per month, but still don't pay their bills. Unethical, cowardly, and undeserving of being in business at all.

Besides the Kheils products and eucalyptus towels, there’s nothing special about this location. I’ve been to much better & bigger equinoxes the staff are rude and the trainers try too hard to get you to buy a session with them..

My wife and I have been members for the past 1.5 years. It is definitely on the pricy side but we really like the swimming pool, so have been happy with the experience overall. Typically seen in most gyms, Equinox's membership contract isn't entirely transparent. We faced extra challenges due to mid-year relocation. Luckily, when we returned, Matt Palomino helped us reestablish everything. Specifically, we ran into a couple issues after signing up, and Matt quickly took care of those for us after we reached out, even though he totally didn't need to. It could have been an experience leaving us with a sour taste, but Matt turned things around by going above and beyond.

6 pm close time on weekends will make me jump to another gym the minute something nicer comes on the market. LA has some nice gyms popping up, hopefully SF gets something soon.

This a great sport club. It has the amenities needs for people that wish to work out before or after work without having to wait around for weights or machines. My wife and mother in law love the daily classes provided and the cleanliness of the location.

I love this Equinox! I go every day and think they are excellent - the class instructors are amazing (especially Jordanna Dworkin), everything is cleaned immediately, and I love to spend time there. It's my favorite part of my day. The staff and trainers are very friendly, and the parking is really easy too.

The customer service here is not good and what you would expect for paying $325 a month. When I first signed up, they wouldn’t allow me to tour a gym (the pine street location) that I had already signed up and paid for and was rude about it. Then I upgraded my membership the next day to the sport club because I didn’t like the pine street location, and I was unable to find anyone to give me a tour of the new gym I signed up and paid for. This I can let go, however it’s the false advertising that upset me. I had spoken to three different sales reps, and each told me that there were trainers in the gym that would be able to spot me when I needed a hand, which was a major selling point to me. I’ve been here 11 months and visit the gym four times a week consistently. And my entire time here, I haven’t been able to get a single spot from a trainer. When I ask, I always get the same answer, that they are busy assisting another client in their session. I inquired about this today, and another sales rep told me that this was an issue and that I should have been able to get a spot and that trainers should be on the floor at all hours of operation. I asked to speak to a manager about this, and then she informed me that this information was incorrect and that they only have someone around to spot on Tuesdays and Thursdays and from only from 5-7 pm and no other times available. This is entirely different than what I was told to get me to sign up for a membership (which was trainers are available at all hours to assist with spotting). Nothing else was done to fix this other than to offer me $100 off one month, which was a joke, considering they falsely advertised a service to get me in. And no one has checked back in with me after signing up about how my experience has been going at the gym. Overall, I’m completely dissatisfied with the customer service at equinox. They say they will get back to you, and then they don’t.
