These people are the freaking nicest humans. They are so kind and so patient and so friendly every time a customer walks in their doors. I love coming through AK's, the squad behind the counter always puts a smile on my face. It doesn't hurt that these sandwiches absolutely slay. Made to order, high quality ingredients, warm or cold options for eating, and some delicious Dutch Crunch bread as the cherry on top. This place rules. Come through for one of the best sandwiches you'll have in SF, as well as a great customer experience.

Delicious. Had the hot pastrami and it was the best I can remember eating. This sandwich was heaping with meat, with the right amount of mustard. The pastrami was tender, with the right amount of fat and cooked to perfection. The bread was soft and tasty. It turned into 2 meals and I'm a big guy. The people that run the place were very friendly. I will definitely make it back.

Outstanding spot for really really good meats. I've had the king salmon, lamb, and ribeye cuts - all of them were phenomenal. The people/owners are also incredibly kind and helpful.

The change of ownership in 2020 turned this place into a local gem! Best meatball sub in the city & great fish selection; sole & cod are consistently fresh and top quality.  Excellent service. A+++

This is the best sandwich experience I’ve ever had… BEST DELI IN SAN FRANCISCO! The portions are great, food is fresh, and the owners of the shop are the absolute sweetest people. They even brought out some Turkey meat for our dog!! 10/10 we will be back regularly. Thank you!!

I have bought NY Strip steaks in here before and they're very good, and a good price. I had a pastrami sandwich here today and it was very good but not memorable. A bit dry. And at $17(!!) after taxes, it didn't seem like a good value. The other sandwiches are probably a better way to go, and the place smells great, the way a deli should smell. But I wouldn't buy a $17 sandwich again.

I love this deli so much! Tried the freshly made quiche today and it’s amazing and so tasty! This is also my go to place to buy fish for a quick seafood and roasted veggies dinner. Love the staff who are so friendly and funny too! Truly a gem in the neighborhood. I’ve heard so much about their sandwiches and that’s what I’m going to try next :)

5-star service, 5-star steak quality. Came into this store for the first time to pick up 2 ribeyes. They looked amazing under the glass; fresh, thick, well-marbled. The man who helped me was INCREDIBLY kind. He let me know that there is zero inconvenience for me to pick the exact one that I wanted. The lady working the cashier (his wife?) was also super friendly. The service alone is reason to come back. Helps that the steak was INCREDIBLY tasty and well-priced too. I won't be going anywhere else again.

Great deli with very friendly people behind the counter. The pastrami on sourdough was so tasty, as was the Italian on a hoagie roll. The sandwiches are big enough for two meals and fairly priced. This would be a great place to pick up a picnic lunch to take to the park. We will definitely be back!

We loved our experience and their sandwiches are amazing. They are seriously some of the nicest people around. As with all small businesses, it’s always appreciated if you can help them avoid having to pay the ridiculous credit card fees by paying in cash. We did at AK and they appreciated it.

Such a gem. The lady on the counter who I assume is the owner is so kind and attentive, and the rest of the staff look like they like working there and receive the same kindness as the guests do. The sandwiches are excellent, and well priced for S.F. Can’t comment on the raw meat and fish but it all looks great!

Sole lightly batter fried and manila clams in clear broth from Lola's place just yesterday. The strawberries and blueberries from their produce store just next door, 25th & Clement Produce Market. Very fresh produce and excellent meats and fish, shellfish from our favorite local grocer and meats. Very well priced too. We walk to their place mornings and pickup the day's groceries and meats. Lovely family-owned place and friendly people! ❤

Top notch food and wonderful staff. My brother and I went for some sandwiches. Best pastrami and tuna melts. Would recommend to come by for the sandwiches. Have to come back to try the rest.

Stumbled upon this place one day while walking along clement looking for lunch and was not disappointed. This a small butcher and deli run by A.L. the cutest lady ever who provides really fast, friendly and amazing service. This is definitely a well liked locals spot and you can tell by all of the people who come in to say hi to the owner and she seems to remember everyone that comes in. This is the kind of place I’m always looking for in the city. Friendly, no frills, amazing food and services. Makes you feel at home. This review is for the sandwich Had the AK combo. Nothing crazy special about this sandwich but the ingredients are super fresh and the sandwich was made hot and delicious. Loved how much peppers she put on the sandwich for me. This is a great find and will definitely be making this one of my usual neighborhood sandwich spots.

Amazing and wonderful old school deli and butcher shop. The sisters who work there when I came in are bright and buoyant. Reminds me of my grandfather's butcher shop on Chestnut/Van Ness, from my childhood. Best sandwich I've had in many years. So thankful that my car broke down around the corner from A K Meats!

The Cashier was extremely helpful. She was very patient with me because it was my first time there. The sandwiches we ordered were great. They are very happy there and that rubs off on you it made my day that much better.

This place is an amazing deli for lunch sandwiches! The service is also friendly and nice people. I heard the meats are done if the best but I go for to go Sandwhich and usually get the combo. Loaded w meat and fresh veggies 🔥. Love it ! The hot pastrami is very good too if you feel like a huge gut bomb

Amazing! My buddy and I got 2 different sandwiches both amazing Ingredients were super fresh, bread was amazing, one of the best sandwiches that I’ve ever have! Love being able to support smaller family owned places Also they have super friendly woman and her brother working- so kind! 12/10 have to check this place out
