I must admit, I am a Sweet Maple Stan! As a self-proclaimed breakfast connoisseur, who has partaken in several breaks locations around San Francisco, I can truly say that Sweet Maple is the best. It truly is an experience. Now, in fairness, I can’t say that I’ve tried everything on the menu not have I given their lunch / dinner items a try, but despite all of that, nothing touches their breakfast menu. Sweet Maple used to serve my personal favorite, “three thin sweet potatoes pancakes.” Good golly miss molly, those were awesome. They were discontinued because of the pandemic (thanks Rona SMH). Now, let’s get to the flood stuff, I recently ordered their Mariner French Toast, Thin Pancakes, Potato Medley, Chicken Mango Sausage, and Bacon, which were all FANTASTIC (see the pictures)! Now, the only critical feedback I can offer is that it is “pricey.” What I ordered for two people was about $65. Additionally, due to its popularity, especially on weekends, you can expect a line down the street, if you don’t get there early. I highly recommend anyone who loves breakfast to check out Sweet Maple. They have several locations and express locations across the Bay Area and you won’t regret the experience!

I’ve been wanting to go to Sweet Maple for forever because it always has a long line and the food looks good. Overall we had a great experience here — food was tasty, service was friendly, bottoms less coffee and big portions. I enjoyed the Haas omelet and new potatoes, although it was super special compared to other diners. Our group of 5 was sat inside. However, the breakfast was SO expensive. Automatic 20% tip, $5 coffee, and taxes aren’t included on menu prices. We ended up paying $47 each for one of entree and coffee 😨 a fun treat but very pricey

Sweet Maple is amazing! Everything we’ve had has been delicious. They go above and beyond to reach perfection in everything they do, including service. The only problem is that they are very, very expensive—even the coffee drinks are outrageously priced—even for the Bay Area. We would return more often if it wasn’t so expensive.

Best breakfast ever 😍😍😍🤩🤩🤩 We love American diners for breakfast and thought nothing would beat Mels, but this place is whole other level! I had omelette with arugula, mushrooms and goat cheese and it was out of this world! it is so great that there is an option to swap potatoes for fruit! I personally recommend doing this, because portions are massive and it is highly unlikely you will finish the potatoes 🥔 (I don't like wasting foooood 🙈 My husband took morning tacos 🌮 they were super delicious!

Went there Wednesday morning so didn’t have to wait to be seated. The restaurant was very busy considering it’s on a weekday. We tried Blackstone (egg Benedict with their famous millionaire bacon and home fries) and deep fried french toast, make it a meal with two eggs of your choice and 2 strips of bacon. I loved both dishes but prefer the egg benedict. Wish I ordered regular fresh toast instead of the deep fried. Deep fried version wasn’t greasy at all. It was crispy and delicious but it was just a bit too tough to my liking. Millionaire bacon was not as good as I had hoped for. It tasted pretty sweet. Overall we liked the experience. The food quality was excellent. Staff was friendly. Pretty expensive for brunch, however. Spent $70 for two people after taxes and tips. Didn’t order any coffee or drinks.

Fun brunch spot we ate at while on vacation in San Francisco. We arrived shortly after opening and got a table right away. I had the Athenian omelet with olives, asparagus, feta and it was good. The potatoes were great and I don't usually like them as a side, but these had a great crisp and tasted like Jack in the Box curly fries. We had a couple of mimosas and they were a good size and made well. Next time I'd try the bottomless mimosas ($40 with a 1-hour time limit).

I always love coming here, it’s one of my regular breakfast spots. The line moves quickly. We ordered the breakfast pizza, snowed omelette and citrus French toast. Everything was as expected and delicious. Service is great. I can’t wait to come back!

I’ve been here a couple times recently. We sat outside and they have heaters on. Their food was great but is definitely pricey. For three of us we spent $120 for breakfast. I especially like their pancake and Benedict.

WOW! One of the best scrambles I've ever had was the Frisco scramble with chicken sausage, mushroom, avocado, and Gouda, served with the biggest, fluffiest piece of bread. My partner had the fried rice, which was playful in presentation and absolutely delicious. The millionaire's bacon was overpriced ($13 for two pieces of bacon) but dang was it good! We waited only five minutes on a busy weekend morning. Next time I'm in town, I'll be back!

Food is delicious. Service is quick. Prices are definitely on the higher side but is to be expected for such a popular spot in this part of the city. I recommend the Black Stone Benedict. Skip the ‘Souflegg’, it’s a bit lacking in flavor. Try the Big Hip French Toast. If you like funnel cakes this will definitely be the right choice for you. Finally do not leave without trying the iconic Millionaire’s Bacon.

Sweet maple was awesome! Add it to your list in San Fransisco! Their service was quick and charming. Their atmosphere is warm and welcoming. And their menu and portions are HUGE! You can tell they know what they are doing. I would recommend going early or calling ahead to get your name on a list because there will be a wait. Overall great experience! There is no parking lot, off street parking only— DO NOT LEAVE ANYTHING IN YOUR CAR.

I really can’t say if I’ve had a better breakfast in my life. I wasn’t familiar with the concept of “Millionaires Bacon” but it was truly an indulgent life changing experience. The Benedict was amazing, and the mimosas were perfection. A must-do for any true SF foodie! Give yourself time cause there was quite the line (well worth it).

Pricey, but worth it! Everything we ordered was so incredibly delicious. We ordered Blackstone Eggs Benedict (made with Millionare's Bacon) and Deep Fried French Toast. The staff was friendly, service was very good. We arrived early, there was no line, but when we left, there was a line outside going down the block. Arrive early, it's worth it!

Millionaire’s bacon sampler was interesting! Four flavors that were all very different and yummy! I ordered the original eggs benedict, but it was a little bland. The soufflé egg was definitely bigger than we thought, and the toppings tasted great. First come first served, but we got seated pretty quickly with a party of 5 on Saturday at 9am.

Visiting from Vegas, this was our first stop for breakfast. Good service and awesome food. So many tempting choices, I settled on the Omurice which was delicious and satisfying. We also shared the Millionaire Bacon Sampler. My favorite was between the citron and original. Would like to come back and try other dishes.

Breakfast here was solidly good, but let down by a few technical details in the kitchen. The service was exceptional. I ordered the savory soufflé with a pancake on the side which came with maple syrup. The flavor of the pancake was spot on, but because the batter had been over-whipped (probably by machine) too much gluten was formed, resulting in a dense, stretchy pancake despite its thin size. Pancake batter really has to be gently folded by hand if you want to make it light and fluffy, and this pancake was quite heavy. The soufflé was delicious and is delivered piping hot. Because it’s cooked at such a high heat, naturally the egg that touches the skillet becomes burnt and that smokiness impacts the overall flavor of the dish. If you eat it with a spoon, and avoid eating the edges, it really is delicious. Considering the price and the execution there are better options elsewhere, but if you’re not looking at the technical details of cooking, it’s a good place to go with a very nice ambiance.

Got the savory soufflegg skillet. The bread was so so so good - perfectly crunchy and soft on the inside. The eggs were light and fluffy. A bit on the expensive side but expected for SF.

This is like the Breakfast Republic in San Diego but at a much higher price. But it's bacon that would give them a run for their money. It was also dog-friendly, which was a plus.

As many have mentioned the food is phenomenal and delicious. Very flavorful and filling. The restaurant is well lite and the decor and ambiance are both inviting and relaxing. Plenty of natural lighting and the servers are quick and attentive. Now the reason for 4 stars: The cappuccinos are a bit expensive for what you get but seems to match that of the food. Having said that there are some housekeeping items such as damaged chairs/tables that are scuffed/nicked (wood pen from Home Depot fixes this) and some high dusting that needs to be addressed. The bathroom needed a bit of attention when I went in there. There is nothing wrong with the prices as mostly everything else is up to snuff, but some aspects of this place do need a bit more attention to detail. Overall it’s a place I would happily return to.

An amazing brunch spot with delicious food. Went on a Saturday morning which was busy but the wait in line did not take long at all for our group of 4. The eggs benedict was great and portion sizes large including my one side pancake. We did the bottomless mimosas for one hour, offered different flavours to choose from and had a great time. Ambience is good and staff very friendly. Would definitely go back!

We were looking for a Morning Breakfast spot, and we found Sweet Maple. It did not disappoint! The service was great and very attentive. I never had to ask for a water or coffee refill. The servers were helpful with menu questions. The Millionaires Bacon is worth the $. With my south of the border scramble, it was the best chorizo I've ever had in a scramble, not super oily. Out of all the breakfast places we were looking at, we are glad we went with Sweet Maple. I almost forgot to mention the potatoes on their breakfast plates are so good! They are like crispy seasoned fries in a breakfast potato.

This place holds up to its rating! Food is delicious though and through, especially the bacon! Oh my goodness, the play on sweet and savory, with the salty finesse is a perfect marriage of flavors! Highly recommended for a family gathering, a brunch date, or in my case a hungover recovery!

It’s a little pricey BUT MONEY WELL SPENT! I will return before I leave SF, maybe twice. I love bacon. It’s fun to see new spins on bacon. I enjoyed the flavors but original was my fave. It allowed me to see the beauty of the bacon. 🤤 (Still good on the reheat 😉) This crab omelette was the best thing I’ve had n my mouth n a long time. 😊 I enjoyed it so much because they were NOT stingy on the FRESH crab. Yes fresh. So fresh I bit a shell, but hey, that come with the territory. No complaints here. If I could Door Dash it to Chicago I would. (Also good on the reheat 😉) The deep fried French toast was different. Reminds me of an elephant ear/funnel cake kinda. Ten outta ten. I would recommend!

They're really known for their bacon. They're so known for it that it was a feature on "United States of Bacon" on the Discovery Network. If there is an afterlife and I come back reincarnated as a pig, I'm not sure if I'd want my meat to be famous. Ideally, I wouldn't be slaughtered for my meat, but if I was going to be slaughtered for it, I might want to be served here. People seem to really enjoy the bacon. Or I'd want to be part of a mcgriddle at McDonald's, but I guess both those options would be pretty impersonal. The best case scenario would be if I had an owner that really cared for me. We spent majority of our days together, they were filled with belly rubs and long walks. Unfortunately, one day my owner gets some terrible news. Their heart is failing and they need a heart transplant immediately. They don't want to take my heart. At this point I'm their best friend and also while there have been some pig heart transplants to humans, it's an extremely rare procedure that has it's risks. In the end, they go through with it because they know that's what I would have wanted. It goes swimmingly. To honor me, my owner ends up eating my full body, not wasting a single piece of me. While things are never the same without me, they go on to live a beautiful life. They experience every moment to it's fullest, while always keeping my memory close to their heart...while I guess my heart. Anyway, I ended up not trying the bacon here. I got eggs, toast, and avocado. It was really good.

Went for brunch, was seated quickly. Had the fried rice and shared the pancakes with my friend. Food was good but nothing to die for though. May come back and try other items though.

BEST BREAKFAST AND BRUNCH IN CALIFORNIA! This is one of my favorite places to go to for breakfast and lunch. The food is fresh, well prepared, and always tasty. You will not find a more efficient and kind staff. The line is always long, but it is always moving, thanks to the efficiency of the staff.

I must say this is probably the best diner type breakfast I have had in a while. It's a good sign when a line forms before it opens at 8! And it was packed within the hour. The millionaire bacon was flavorful and decadent as advertised! Highly recommended!

This place is VERY Crowded. Big lines on the weekends but if your willing to wait or go on an off day this place has fantastic food! the Espresso Martinis are amazing as well as the Bloody Mary's they're baked items are better choice but the scrambles are good too just not their main event when it comes to their specialty in pancakes and french toast.

Delicious food - some of the best brunch I’ve had! There was a long line, and we were there on the weekend, so we were prepared to wait, but we didn’t have to wait very long at all! The service was great, the waitress was super friendly. Definitely a bit pricey, but we also expected that. Highly recommend the millionaire bacon, it’s very unique and tastes amazing! You can’t go wrong with anything here, though.

Everything is spot on Delicious ! First come first serve & there’s always a line so patience is key. The different Benedict’s are perfect & the pancakes where yum 😋 We also had kids grilled cheese. Best breakfast / brunch in SF imo

Great breakfast place. Please try their chicken mango sausages, amazing! Also love their orange juice and pancakes. Service was nice. Place was clean and spacious. Plenty of seating space inside and outside. Will come back again for sure.

This was the absolute best place I’ve been to in SF for brunch. I ordered the French toast, millionaire bacon, a side of potatoes, and a chai latte. Portion sizes were hefty but of course I still cleared my plate. Both the French toast and potatoes were the right amount of crunch on the outside but soft and fresh on the inside. The millionaire bacon had a distinct flavor and was very delicious…it was almost like luxury, marinaded beef jerky with a delicious rub (except not beef, hot, and just better of course). Service was great and food came out super quick and fresh despite it being busy. Would def recommend!

We ate breakfast here while we were visiting San Francisco. We got here early so we were able to walk right in and get a table for 4. June was our server and she was super. She did a great job of explaining some of the highlights on the menu. It didn't take long for them to make our food and get it to our table. I got the regular breakfast with eggs, mixed potatoes, and the curry chicken sausage. My wife got the pancakes with bananas and walnuts with the mango chicken sausage. The breakfast was good all the way around. The Mango Chicken sausage was better than the curry chicken sausage to me. The pancakes and potatoes were good too! There are a couple of big screen tv's in the dining area and we were able to watch a tennis match during breakfast. There was 1 young lady who came to pick up our plates after we finished eating and she was rude and unfriendly and rolled her eyes at us but other than that, this place was good. I recommend that you try this place if you are ever in San Francisco.

Favorite breakfast spot in SF! Come here every few weeks. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. The food is always tasty. LOVE the French toast always get a side order of it. They have a lot of healthy options and a good variety. Food always tastes fresh. They are dog friendly with plenty of outdoor seating options. The lines get long on weekends but the service is usually pretty quick. Lovely atmosphere. Would highly recommend!!
