Yesterday I tried to go into 24 Hours Fitness with my electric scooter, but they wouldn't let me in and asked me to tie my scooter up outside in the parking lot. When I came back from my workout, the scooter was stolen. This gym doesn't care about customer safety at all. They have no cameras or security system. My scooter was tethered with a lock, but the thief sawed through the parking structure with a saw. I noticed that other bikes and scooters have been stolen here many times as well, but the administration doesn't care. Also, this gym is very dirty. Sometimes homeless people just come in here for a wash. They come into the sauna in sneakers and jeans, they visit the pool in their clothes. That was a particular shock to me. In the area with exercise machines people don't have any culture, no one is cleaning weights for themselves, there's always a lack of dumbbells, because they are scattered all over the gym. This is the same situation at all the gyms in this retail. I cancelled my subscription after my first visit. Very dirty and unpleasant place.

No maintenance, filthy and falling apart! Most of the strength training machines are broken and rusted relics from the '90s. Locker rooms are disgusting. Several showers missing shower heads or valve handles. One of eight shower stalls has the working soap dispenser. The hot tub is green with algae and the pool water is dirty. Surprised the health department hasn't shut them down! And the parking lot is not safe! I've literally seen cars getting broken into and bicycles stolen.

This lady hogs equipment. She put her bag on a bench and proceeded to not use the flat bench in the dumbbell area for 5 minutes and gets upset when I needed to use her bench for 20 seconds since all other flat benches were occupied. I told her she needs to share equipment but she didn’t care. I reported her to the staff but the staff didn’t do anything. Avoid this gym, full of horrible members like her. She’s the only egregious one I cared to report, there’s many like her. Edit: I emailed the club and have not heard back. Don’t let these replies fool you into thinking they care, it’s some automated bot reply.

Filthy, grimy and full of stench, best describes 24 Hour Fitness Potrero Hill Gym. Gym Staff refuses to clean Men's Locker Room, it's filthy all the time. Now they close the Men's Locker Room from 1pm to 3pm Daily as to PROHIBIT gym members to enter locker room. This is totally unacceptable and abhorrent.

Busiest & dirtiest gym in the City. The owners/operators should be ashamed at the condition they keep this location. This is a working class gym, and the owners obviously don't have much respect for the members. I've been at the 24 Hours locations in the Financial District, they are clean and you don't mind taking a shower. The shower at the Potrero location is filthy, with hair & cleaning products all over the floor, water dripping from the ceiling, and half the showers don't work. I only use this gym because it is very convenient between my home & work, but giving consideration to going elsewhere. I hope other members speak up so that this situation can be improved.

I love coming to this gym. Very convenient and near my work. Staff is friendly. Only complaint I would have, is not knowing when this location opens on Sunday.... because as of right this moment 6:21am alot of people are just waiting to get in. This 4th time for me on a Sunday.

Out of all mens showers, 3 only work, but no soap in the dispensers. Bathrooms and locker room area is messy and felty. Working out areas are dirty as well, paper on the floors, paper dispensers empty. You will regret signing in.

Most cardio machines are not operating. Which is unfortunate since it becomes an incredibly crowded gym. Locker rooms are dirty. There is blood in the sinks. They request your proof of vax several times even though you can’t get a membership without a vaccine card which makes walking in and out difficult. I did not renew my subscription

Disgusting and totally trashed since they don’t maintain or clean the gym. Staff is friendly, but don’t bother to clean. Toilets and urinals broken, and one has to wade thru a pool of urine to get to the one urinal that’s still working. Pool and locker rooms filthy.

This place is horrible! No cleaning! Tha machine are old. The personal is just in their account lace talking and playing. Wondering if they have a manager. Because this place is decently not worth it for the price they charge us.

I signed up for this gym because of its proximity to me and to use the pool. Reading the other reviews, I knew that the place and the pool would at least look dirty, but was optimistic that I wouldn’t mind it. I’ve swam in lots of other pools and don’t think my skin is too sensitive, but after using this pool I could really feel the heavy use of chlorine on my skin. My eyes and skin were irritated and dry, so I don’t think I’ll be back unfortunately :(

I am finally back to the gym after three years (Covid and knee surgery). When I started back in June, the gym on Bryant was in such bad shape I was sure they were going to close it. There has been a complete turnaround in the last three weeks: locker room is clean again, repaired showers with hot water, repair men working on the equipment, etc. clearly, someone has stepped up and I am grateful.

The gym is ok , but the only problem I have is the selective attendance of staff in the morning on the weekends. It's like they just don't show up to open 2-3 times a month. If they want to change the schedule to fit their tardiness. That's fine, just don't make people waste their times showing up early and on time.

This gym is utterly disgusting. So much so that, after my workout, I felt the need to set myself on fire to kill the bacteria and germs just from being inside the gym.🤮🤮🤮🤮

I am not recommending anyone to work out in this gym. This gym is the dirtiest gym I have ever seen in my whole life. It is the worst gym in the united state. Very miss management. There is no one to clean the gym and I almost throw up. I am suggesting you guys to not come to this gym.

Filthy. The pool area is caked in grime with clumps of hair just on the floor. Super gross. Can't believe they haven't been reported for some health code violation.

This location is hell. Dirty in every corner, showers are not working, floor is full of germs, no service at all. When you I entered the gym today Oct 8th, 2023 at 7:30am and scanned the barcode the guy sitting there was looking at me like he is facing off for a fight with eyes full of insult. I wonder if there is a manager or not.

There are a ton of cardio machines that no one uses but hardly any treadmills that work. Everyone is waiting to use a treadmill (only 8 are working right now). They should take out the dozens of machines no one uses and add more treadmills. Plus fix the ones that are broken. Men's locker room is kinda messy and there was a sign that said they only had female janitors so 'everyone has to cover up'. Wish I lived closer to the downtown or Castro 24 Hour Fitness which are a lot better. The staff seems friendly though so that's why I'm rating it 3 stars. If the staff wasn't great I would give it a 2.
