I've had a 24 hour membership for nearly a decade and have never been to a worse facility than this one. As others have mentioned the staff is rude and inconsiderate. The space is dirty even for a gym. Equipment is laid out haphazardly and what they have is lacking. How does a gym at this price point have one bench rack? What good equipment they do have is sequestered on the trainers only area where you'll be simultaneously told to leave and given a sales pitch about personal training.

Overall, they have what it takes to get the job done and do have relatively friendly personal training staff. The gym in general is pretty dirty and is only added to by the permissable barefoot users, which completely confuses me for sanitary reasons. Large sections of the gym/equipment are blocked off for the customers who pay the additional $60/hr for group and personal training, including at peak times. Often times washroom equipment isn't refilled or is broken for an extended period of time (a week or more), this has been a consistent issue for the near 2 years of my attendance.

I'm one of the members that had to migrate to this gym after the one on 303 2nd street plaza closed down and let me say this one is a let down. It's not only that the gym is small but if you add the fact that it's located in the financial district the place gets ridiculously packed on peek hours. The equipment is in good condition although badly distributed: There is a sea of elliptical machines that get no use on weekends while there's only ONE squat rack (yes, ONE) and two or three people waiting to use it, there' two abductor machines and NONE decline bench press, etc. Never had any issues with any members, all are friendly and just keep to their own (never seen any judging in this or the previous location as portrayed in the planet fitness commercials). My only complaint is the occasional homeless people that somehow make their way to the showers and do their laundry there. And speaking of, showers are limited but clean as is the general men's locker room area. Staff are nice people trying to do their best considering the amount of traffic this location brings in. I miss the 303 Second street plaza location so much, it was better equipped and closer to my home.

Went to this gym for three years and was fine with the fact that the facilities were in ok shape (you pay for what you get right). Then for some reason the gym started getting really really smelly. Might have been new clientele. I am not a germaphobe by any means but the place started smelling so vile we had to quit. I couldn’t stand it. Hopefully it’s gotten better since.

It's better if you walk a few more blocks to the one in Sacramento or Van Ness.... Because this one is SMALL, the machines are old, the floor is dilapidated and they often don't have hot water on the showers... those other gyms have Twice or Three ( the one in Van Ness) times the number of machines and treadmills!!!

Convenient location Great staff Decent equipment But some members are problematic. These are the ones who don't wear their masks or improperly wear them. And some members do not return the weights and plates back to the proper place.

The only redeeming quality of this gym is it has a lot of equipment and workout space. Otherwise, it is atrocious. All the equipment is really old and outdated. Most of the weights machines are rusted and the cardio machines have defects. All the equipment is filthy too - each time I wiped any equipment down after I used it, the paper towel was covered in thick black dust/grime. The staff were also unknowledgeable - I asked a staff member if they had spin bikes and they did not know what that was. The naming of the gym is completely misleading as well because it is not open 24 hours a day. Check the open hours before you go! The gym only offers a very small number of classes in the afternoon too, which was disappointing. Personally, I would not recommend this gym.

I don't often give gyms 5 star reviews but this 24 hour fitness in particular goes above and beyond what other city gyms do to keep their equipment clean and in working order. Their manager, Geo, is a breath of fresh air, always smiling and waving and genuinely makes it a warm and welcoming atmosphere. His staff are also exceptional. They are accommodating and the hard work they put into the gym is apparent. They acknowledge you as you arrive and depart (instead of staring at their phones like the teenagers at the front desk of literally every other gym), they actually fix equipment when it breaks down, and they are always genuine in their interactions with you. It might be a small gym and the equipment is dated, but the people are what make it feel like home. Thanks for providing us with a safe atmosphere to get our sweat on! See you all soon :)

Gets crowded on week days but it’s one of my favorites to go on the weekends. Overall is ok but it has a lot more room to equipment, would be great if they invest in a hip thrust machine and more legs equipment. Always have someone waiting for use , and a line for the squat racks what makes even harder to set up to do hip trusts. Staff are friendly and the gym is always clean.

Solid 24 spot. The location is tiered and has great workout spaces. Love that the windows are usually open, and you can look out to the street in between sets. Large about of cardio machines. Standard DB racks, bench, cables, and plenty of machines. Also heavy bags, sleds, Olympic racks, and TRX rack. It’s a 24, so not super glamorous, but online with expectations. The morning East Asian American team member is really nice! I had a pass from my hotel, so it was pretty awesome (as compared to a standard hotel gym set-up). Not too crazy even during peak hours.

Great experience from start to finish! Very kind and welcoming staff, large site with great equipment, and the staff were very professional with membership issues (unlike many other gyms). Recommend!

Only $50/mo but genuinely the worst gym I’ve been to. Dirty equipment, small, and lots of inconsiderate gym members making it hard to work out.

Gym never opens on time. Theres literally A crowd of people waiting outside at 5:30am for someone to open right now. Gym is close to where I live, that's the only reason i use it. It's never clean and machines are always broken.

This gym is an absolute dump!! Dirty, broken equipment, no mirrors at squat racks to check form, gross locker rooms, no day use lockers despite it listed on their app….

This gym sucks, period. It’s dark, old, and is HOT. The machines I think are from the 80s I swear. It’s 3 floors and we all know heat rises and for some reason 95% of the equipment is on the top floor and it gets hot and sweltering up there for most of the day. They pour zero money into improvements and simply don’t care. They don’t even have basic machines like leg extensions for quads and lying hamstring curl machines.

Not especially friendly but wouldn’t expect much more in a big city gym. Lots of equipment and space. Was there early but would imagine it gets packed during peak times.

Grimy, dark & the women's locker room showers are disgusting. Plus there is very little water pressure & no hot water. This was my first visit to this location since the pandemic. Avoid if possible, esp. if you expect to shower.

😐 My first visit in an American Bouldering Gym and a rather disappointing one. Not sure about the 4.8 Stars. I think the gym invests more time in the wrong places. The showers, restrooms and changing areas are great, there is even Shampoo in the showers. One negative thing is, that you can't usw the l...

😠 Sharing as a PSA for anyone considering joining this Planet Fitness location. While at the gym, the lock on my locker was cut and my belongings were stolen. 👍👍 Love this gym! It’s clean, big locker rooms, lots of space on the workout floor and a pool. The pool is a little shallow but it’s on the second floor, so, can’t complain too much.

😠 Although the equipment in this gym allows you to "get the job done" and they do validated garage parking for $6, these are the ONLY positives I can highlight about this location.
