I discovered Casa Elena while on a motorcycle trip to South America. It is a beautiful gem of a place, quiet and tranquil. The owners are experienced international travelers and have made a great oasis for travelers. Breakfast is excellent and the rooms are very nice. Shower and baths are nice with plenty of instant hot water. I enjoyed my stay so much I extended my time in Antigua. Highly recommended.

Excellent place to stay in Antigua. Large room with large bathroom (with hot water). Amazing breakfast, and a nice terrace with view on the volcanoes. The hosts are very nice and helpful people. If you're not a morning person, be aware though that breakfast is prepared early (between 6 and 7 AM) and is served at the central area of the hotel, so be ready for an early wake up call. But all in all one of our favourite places in Guatemala.

Lovely little B&B in Antigua. The room is spacious and has hot water, a cosy bed and interesting art. Our room had a TV downstairs, which we never watched.. preferring to read or look out the window at the excellent view. We ended up missing the first night there, baselessly concerned about making the trip from GC at night. They refunded the first night even though they didn't have to. Breakfast was great also, and served in a pretty little courtyard. The only slight drawback is it's a bit of a walk from City center...a good 10-15 minutes.

I cannot think that this visit was anything less than perfect. Clean, friendly, helpful, anxious to please, even the occasionally seen family dog was friendly. The owners are husband and wife, retired international teachers. They are fluent in English and Spanish. I don't see how you could do better, and at reasonable cost.

An extraordinary, beautiful, delightful, more than comfortable oasis. Hosts thought of everything to make the stay the best anyone could experience. When researching for a place to stay, I couldn't find anything in the center of Antigua that was quiet and had great reviews, I'm so thankful for finding Casa Elena. We've been traveling to Antigua for over 25 years and have never encountered this kind of lavish hospitality. Harvey is a gourmet cook, breakfasts were amazing.

Breakfast was varied each day, very tasty and filling. Room was well appointed with a comfortable bed. Plenty of hot water. Fast wifi. Hosts were awesome. Such a pleasure to stay somewhere the hosts provide helpful information without expecting a kickback. Quiet location, 10 min walk to central square.

Wow! We had such a wonderful time staying at Casa Elena. The owners are truly wonderful: so kind and they gave us the greatest tips on restaurants and things to do around Antigua!! And then the breakfast… out of this world. SO good, fresh fruit with granola and yoghurt and fresh bread and cakes from the bakery everyday, and then they make a warm meal that is different every day. We had a breakfast burrito, shakshuka and a delicious quiche! The walk to town is about 10 min, and felt very safe. The rooftop terrace is amazing, lots of plants and greenery and you see the Fuego erupting from there! The room is very spacious, we had 2 floors. The bathroom was great, lots of space next to the sink to put your toilletries. The shower was perfect, good water pressure and enough warm water! The bed was very comfortable. We rebooked another night for the end of our stay because we loved it so much! Thank you Harvey and Diane for the great care.

The perfect stay in Antigua for couples! Spacious rooms with comfy beds and nice bathroom. Harvey and Dianne were very welcoming and willing to assist in everything. It felt like home to us. The breakfast is amazing and changes every day.

I can’t recommend this accomodation more highly! Harvey and Diane were very friendly, gave us great recommendations and made us a yummy breakfast everyday (accomodating for gluten free allergies) for the 5 nights we stayed here. We were sad the leave! Our room was really nice. The place has both a shared downstairs court yard/garden and little terrace upstairs, with a view of the volcano! It was clean and Anna the lovely house keeper can do your laundry for a small fee. The location was great, just outside of the main hustle and bustle. But only a short walk to restaurants, shops and the main square. Would definitely stay here again! Thanks H and D ❤️
