I couldn't even book the spa!!! Spa reception is opening @4pm and stop answering on the phone at 4.02pm! Great job, well done! It seems like COVID didn't hit certain businesses enough...

A great place to relax and come down from your daily routine The breakfast buffet was excellent. Service was also very good House keeping did their job very well What disappointed us a bit was the fact that it was end of season and the bars restaurants were closing down and reducing there menus. But all in all a very pleasant stay.

It is a 5* Resort... Under this premise I am going to judge according this category. Cons: - not well cleaned. I found a pill from some other guest under the amenity tray between the sinks, which means they only wipe around it and do not move it. Something which in a bathroom and Covid times is pretty bad. - not really a suitcase service. We arrived a little early for the room and had the suitcases put in storage at first. I expect from a 5* Hotel, that when the time arrives, they bring the suitcases themselves to the room and not as it was done. We had to come back (check-in was already done) and pick-up the suitcases ourselves and it took the guy another 5 minutes to even ask if we needed help with them... - food wasn't good. I am happy that we did not take half-board or all inclusive, since we like to test local restaurants. Breakfast is although good and recommendable. We tested the hotel cuisine over 3 different ways: at arrival for lunch (which was bad). Expensive and poor quality. You just get some buffet food, half cold and overpriced. 2. Room service: that was good. 3. dinner a la carte: very bad! They didn't have almost nothing from the menu available, it took extreme long to serve us (they forgot us at first), then prepared the table for our 2 courses (forks and knives placed wrong 😉) but served all together at once... suddenly no time... The leftovers we got weren't good either. - room with sea view: decoration and equipment I guess from the 90's and over the restaurants although that did not bother us much. - not much programm (I guess in June -August they have more) and a bit chaotic (I guess in the high season could be annoying). - you have the freeway direct in front of the hotel only separated from the parking lot. I don't know if they put guests on that side but if they do... 😳 - you are outside Estepona. If you want to go to the town or elsewhere, you definitely need a car. Pros: + room was bigger than usual + bad as well very big and divided in 3 parts (incl. bathtub and shower) + big spa with great massage options (extra but worthy) + nice pools (in and outdoor) + the beach is not sooo pretty but comfortably empty (at least in September). You have a little bit the feeling of a private beach. The access is directly through the hotel garden gate and the hotel has permanently umbrellas and chairs for the guests. Unfortunately there were many jellyfishes at the time. We used the beauty salon as well, which I can rate in the middle-low range. All in one, it is a typical all in type of resort.

We stayed Jun 1st - 5th and overall I would recommend the hotel. It ticked all the boxes required for a comfortable enjoyable holiday leaving only a little room for improvement and I would return again in the low season absolutely. Staff are polite and helpful however did miss us trying to order from the poolside a few times - could just be we were right in the corner. Then the kitchen didn’t get one half of our order… It definitely was quiet when we stayed which for me was a bonus and added to the sense of size the hotel offers with multiple pools and a grand foyer with views out to sea. But did make me wonder if during peak season would it be too busy, loud, overcrowded and affect the quality of stay. Our room was again spacious with 2 single beds in a double room, basic but good working AC and a terrace with chairs and table but no loungers. Neither complimentary water or tea/coffee making facilities were available in room but there was a fridge with “mini-bar”. Extra pillows were provided upon request. Bathroom strangely did not have a light over the jet bath tub / shower. The gym looked great with lots of equipment (weight sled etc) but was not open at the weekends or early hours. However the outside gym consisting of a few cardio and resistance machines was open daily between most hours but almost all adjustable height seats did not work anymore. Noise did creep up a few times during our stay firstly with hoovering in the lower ground floor on our first day that travelled all the way up the central building due to the staircase and foyer design during siesta time 3-4pm. Some other maintenance and construction works around the hotel were on going but fine to deal with. However music in reception starting 7am again travelled up and could be heard in the front sea facing bedrooms on L1. I would recommend to bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper but who needs piano foyer music at 7am? The spa was an enjoyable experience but massage options were quite limited and I would say it was more a massage parlour and hot tub than full spa with the treatments on offer. Breakfast was great. A large buffet selection and a cook station where omelettes, eggs and pancakes could be ordered to tailored requirements. Food options and prices in general were good however at diner one evening a pasta dish we ordered was not what we expected or was described at all but was still tasty. One of the restaurants listed at the hotel was not yet up and running in the season even though marquee and seating was in place. We did a stroll once onto the dark sand beach but didn’t see any loungers or umbrellas there - guessed it was too early in season. Parking for free was available out front of the hotel along road as well - paid parking available underground of hotel. So to conclude a comfortable hotel/resort for a great holiday in the low season absolutely.

Nice hotel with great pool facilities. Our group had two adults and a teenager and we got a nicely sized room which had plenty of storage space for our things. Room was clean and cozy. The bathroom was large and had a tub. Pool facilities are good. You can walk to Estepona city from the hotel. There is a walkway by the beach. It is about 5 km and took us about an hour in the heat of July. There are not many restaurants nearby but if you are looking for an all-inclusive place to stay this is a good option.

The resort is beautiful but is way to quiet i mean not even a radio to hear , nothing at all! Menu to have dinner only with 2 3 things and a choice of buffet for 18€ which was or only types of cheese or some salami ! I ve been in many resorts but who is managing the place not doing his best for such a beautiful place with a beautiful garden and to not have good things to eat or any kind of entertainment! Staff helpfully 👌

Beautiful hotel and great location. The rooms were tidy and very clean. The stuff in general was quite rude, especially Kimberley and some guy that was working evening shift. Claudia and her friend by the pool side were awesome and very accommodating, so were the cleaners. It’s a really beautiful and relaxing resort to visit. We would definitely recommend, although without any Ill feelings for the stuff, Kimberley is lowering the standards of this gorgeous place.

It's a typical generic resort styled hotel. It's not 'obviously' 4*, it does feel a little more luxurious and if they didn't have to list their stars, I wouldn't question it being 5* quality. The rooms are spacious, the bathrooms feel luxurious, and the whole place clean, the sea view is also a nice addition and it's good in the evening to sit on the balcony after dinner and listen to the sea. It is a little too 'resorty' for my tastes at the back, too family orientated but that's my preference. The location is also quite middle of nowhere-ey. All you have here is the hotel, unless you're happy to take a taxi into Estepona. The food was alright, nothing memorable, patatas bravas could be spicier/more flavourful.. And I remember the chicken having quite soggy skin on it. But it's not bad.

The positive first, we have been here 6 times, the first 5 as part of the fuerte-hotels and now as an independent. The food and the service have never been better. We were amazed at lunch today on how good the food actually was. Could hardly have been better. And also the service - even though some speak very little english. Only negative have been that the room and some of the public areas should have been better cleaned.

Worse hotel I have been in my entire life! They charge extra even if you pay for Half Board meal. The staff is all 100% white so not sure if this is the policy or not but it was really interesting to see 100% white staff. Also asking for Ice-Coffee they bring us ice and coffee separate. The breakfast is very bad all food was cold and same every day. Same was for the dinner same menu every night. The espresso included in the breakfasts is like a black-water and if you want a normal espresso you need to pay!

Very nice resort, in particular for families and couples, ideal to relax with everything included, next to the beach. The rooms were really stunning! And the pool was actually not too crowded which was pleasant (last week of June).

Outstanding hotel. Felt more like a five star. Cant fault a thing. Huge room, stunning location and really friendly staff. Kids club lady was absolutely lovely. Spa is also perfect, small but had everything. We will definitely be returning

The room was very big, just not as clean as I would have hoped. Found a few spiders. Wish they would change linens more often.

Excellent hotel...staff were extremely helpful and friendly .Food was great ...slight negative is that the hotel needs a lick of paint....but getting back to normal after 2 year shutdown will take time...highly recommend the hotel

The food and the service in the eating area is great! Special thanks to Carola who made sure our table was ready (for wheelchair). Service at the front desk is slow (we had chattered glass in the room and broken aircon). They said they would fix it, but we had to go back repeatedly. The area is nice and super relaxing.

So, where to start with my one week experience. When we arrived, we were stunned by hotel's looks. It was fancy, not to mention it's size....it is massive hotel with beautiful green grass land. We had family room, intended for two adults and two children. Room had one bathroom with shower/bath, two water taps and toilet. As for beds, which were two, there was no problem, but there was also an expanded couch and one half is too hard (for me) and the second one is nice, but it's small for width and it is made from two pieces (for spoiled people like me it would be not good for one week). And when we asked for a mattress, we found out mattress is only for beds, and 3 beds in one room is a different type of room with different price. As for bathroom, we had no problem with shampoo and soap, which is available in all rooms. Only misstep by their side is that we had one-layer toilet paper, which can bother some people (like us). We had also a balcony with roof (other room's balcony), had nice sea and pool view. People above us had no roof, so sunlight burned through all things on their balcony, and they couldn't sit there during the day. So when you arrive, be sure to ask whether you will have balcony with roof or not, because it is almost impossible to be there during day (as I say for me). Also for room service, we had no problem, although some staff couldn't speak English, so we from Slovakia had some trouble speaking with them (f.e: We asked for more toilet paper and she replied if we wanted her to clean our room). But staff was overall really nice and polite. As for food in hotel, we had a half-pension, so I have only experience for breakfasts and dinners. All the time, you have plenty of food to choose from and we never had trouble to find empty table. As for dinner you have to order drinks and for people who have their thing for saving money, this can be a little frustrating, because sweet soda drinks cost 3€ per 0.3l, so 1€/1dcl (as for 2nd August 2022). Now for pool. Main pool, right near restaurant and two steps from our room (we were on ground floor) was rather big, maximal height of water was 1.4m. And there was a separate pool right next to it, which was often not used, so we could have whole pool for us. Also for us it was never that overcrowded, that we couldn't find seats for us. There was always plenty of free seats available. Right next to pool there is a beach bar, with similar prices compared to dinner service and the great hing is, that staff is going through seats so people can order from their seats and it will be taken to them (the price doesn't change). There is also second pool a bit further from main pool, just for adults, but as I have seen, rules are not that much of a concern to people, because there were also children. When you go further from hotel, there is also a restaurant for people, who have half-pension or just breakfasts, I don't have any review for it, as I have never been there during my visit. Now there is beach and sea. Beach is not part of the hotel, just sunbeds. There were also almost no people. Only problem with beach is, that sand further from sea is very nice, but entrance to sea can be painful due to rocks. Sea in general is cold, as for us, only last two days it was warm and nice to swim in. But....jellyfish. There is also a flag for Jellyfishes and we saw plenty of them. There were these purpur (brownish - purplish) ones, which sting and are poisonous. As for other things, wifi is available in all places (except beach) and it was really fast (around 86 Mbps), but their system of three devices per room was often annoying as some devices just disconnected and we had to ask for new code. So, this is my one week experience with this hotel. I had a really nice time being here and I recommend visiting Hotel Estepona.

The hotel is fantastic definitely A**. The staff particularly the pool staff and restaurant staff are very friendly and very professional. They work very hard. We loved the outside dining area where it has background music playing. Carola who always greets us for breakfast & lunch is super friendly & professional making sure everyone is happy and on top of everyone. ( I thought she was the Restaurant Manager). The hotel needs some light background music not every day but maybe a Friday & Saturday evening like a pianist or similar. Re lunches it would be nice to have an option of a sandwich and to be able to have nachos at lunch time and not only from 16.00 hrs. and to eat at the pool bar area. The bathrooms need upgrading a bit. My in-laws who also stayed didn’t have anywhere to hold onto in the shower and they felt they could easily have slipped. We will definitely be back as we really do love it and feel totally relaxed.

Great hotel, room, professional staff, facilities, impeccable f&b, etc - all these deserve 5 stars or more! However hotel is to be viewed as one without a pool or spa. The spa costs extra and the pool is not heated.

Fantastic hotel. Super quiet and relaxing in October, weather is still great. Water in the pool is a bit cold for me but the kids loved the children’s pool. Great quality and variety food at the breakfast buffet. Can only recommend.

We booked a Suite with sea view, we got a suite with white stones view covering the roof top.😎 We asked to change but they were fully booked "during Corona time" The Balkony was not clean and dirty, "still the same after 3 days" Some of the stuff is under great pressure. Only 3 stars

Excellent and faultless stay - highlights are the wonderful and professional service, clean and well appointed rooms and the great pool and gardens. The buffet breakfast and dinner is plentiful. Drinks could be cheaper is my only gripe.

This is truly a great hotel. Let me start by saying this an interconnected series of buildings with a hotel grounds in the middle. You have few open pools, plenty of terrain, small gym and restaurant with open buffet. Beach is walking distance next to the hotel grounds. Everything is very clean and functional. Staff speaks English so there next to no issues with communication, and arranging anything. Every other day you have free live concerts, with really good music. Bar next to the pools is open quite long. As they said the rooms are very specious. Some rooms are connected with an inside hall separated from the rest and they are even bigger so it's nice to come with more people and have private room area and private friends area. The only issue I have here poor WiFi range.
