    Used to be one of the best freshest burgers you could get but the price is too high for fast food. Since the owner sold Whataburger to a company both quality and quantity has gone down. Hard to get fresh lettuce. Instead you get yellow or white lettuce with a flimsy tomatoe and maybe 2 pickles if your lucky. Always have to fix this burger when I get it home. A few locations are still decent but they are hard to find. Most people are brainwashed thinking this is the best burger place in town. Fries are always cold and nasty and onion rings make you sick if you eat them.

    There are no words in the English dictionary that can explain or express my experience at this water Burger location. The service was dumb theverything was dumb. I've attempted 3 to try and order the buffalo ranch chicken salad! THREE TIMES I have tried to order this salad, AND THREE TIMES YOU HAVE FAILED! I repeated my order three times, and the associate just repeated back "Buffalo Ranch," so I repeated "yes the salads"!! THE SALADS!!!. So I paid for it. I get up to get my food and notice a small bag. I let them know that I had ordered two salads. They corrected me a said two sandwiches. I let them know that it was intact salads. There was no apology. No, let us make this right for you. Just to hold on, they will make it now. I waited 20 minutes for my salad. 20mins. On top of what I had already waited. When Jose the Manager I am presumeing came out he said sorry about the wait. Nothing about their mix up, no we'll make sure to do better next time. NOTHING! When i asked if i could get a copy of the receipt that had the survey info on it and the receipt ID to take the survey, he said i was already given one. Told me not all receipts have one, and that what i got had it on there. There is nothing better than feeling then when your voice doesn't matter, and management wants to keep you quiet just to keep a good store rating and to not have their district manager call then. once had waited an 1.5hrs for fires due to miscommunication on their part. Got off night shift me a my friend were craving fries. So we were fine waiting. Yes, I take full responsibility.  I should have cut my losses with this location and never came back. Am I overreacting,  probably. But I am done with this location and possibly Whataburger in general. How many times from different locations do I have to be disappointed before I give up?

    San Marcos location is very consistent with fresh food and quality service... 💥💥UPDATE💥💥 2/2022 ..anyone else notice any food quality changes? ie...smaller beef patties Do NOT get me started on no longer having grilled cheese on the kids meal menu. I'm older and a vegetarian (yes I eat at Whataburger and I don't eat meat...my family is a big TEXAS sized bunch of meat eaters) anyway...it's gone and it was a perfect sized meal for me and I'm disappointed ....I loved the chocolate chip cookie 🍪...hrmph

    Very nice staff, got my order correct and it was at my table quickly. Only 4 stars because it was only warm, not hot as usual. Otherwise one of the better locations.

    Not good not bad. 2 ppl at the register seemed to know what they were doing. One it was her first day, the other seemed like he was new too! They messed my order up some guy co.es to the register, tries something walks away comes back, walks away again! Then a woman comes up and gives me a refund. When they bring my food I notice my fries seem to be smaller than before I asked for large she says they are. They weren't. IDK.

    The food is good, typical Whataburger fast food, but San Marcos needs another Whataburger restaurant. It is always so crowded and the drive thru lines are really long especially in the evening. It takes a long time to get served.

    Fresh food made hot and fast just the way you like it. Was that a commercial? No, it is true. They really do try hard to get your order fast, fresh,and correct. Even the managers resolve problems without question and do what is necessary to satisfy the customer. Enjoy!

    Stopped at this location on the way from ATX to Corpus around 5 pm on a Friday. Drive thru was busy so it was a bit of a wait for our food. But happy to say the order for me and my family was right on and the food was good and hot! Rock on Whataburger!

    I appreciate the app to order in advance, but the service is starting to decline. Condiments not putting into bag, forgetting fries, no add-ons put in bags ... So be sure to check your order before driving away. The staff are friendly and that's definitely good. They are hustling which is very visible. The burgers are slapped together a pile of pickles vs them laid out on patty, the mustard stopped on with the lettuce & tomatoes sliding out, and if ya have double or triple meat its a guaranteed failure to be stacked. You end up trying to recreate your burger & cleanup the mess called a burger ... The pride in making a great burger is decreasing rapidly at Whataburger as its not just this this locations problem...

    The past two times i have came to this location i have been terribly let down, my burger tasted as if it had been sitting there for a bit, buns were soggy, the jalapenos were so soft and had no spice what so ever, not to mention how sloppy my burger was put together. I used to love coming to whataburger but the dissatisfaction both times makes me not want to eat here again. Hopefully something changes.

    A little slow, but probably because of the personnel issues prevalent everywhere today. Overall though, staff was courteous and food was good. I enjoy Whataburger because of their 24/7 service and the variety of the menu. Would recommend to anyone, especially late night or early morning travelers.

    Drive through experience was alright except I had to come through the line again for more condiments because I only got one ketchup and Bianca told me she wasn’t aloud to ask me how many condiments I needed … I said okay .. I then asked for the manager because Bianca was rolling her eyes at me and I asked for more napkins because she literally only gave me one napkin .. when the manager gave me the napkins she proceeded to say “ I could’ve done that “ … but she hadn’t … very rude , Bianca might need more customer service training ..

    The food was fresh, hot, and served within a decent amount of time...I rated them with three stars because although the food was great the employee working the second window handing out food was extremely rude. She was speaking with the quick stappy tone, also snatched my card out my hand, sat my food and drink on the counter aggressively, and handed everything back to me in a anger manner. I would recommend this restaurant, but maybe avoid going during early morning shifts.

    This is one of the busiest Whataburger restaurants I've been to, and their level of customer service and consistent good food is why I keep going back. One of their team-members is Ledene, and she is always helpful. She recognizes Mt family when we walk in, and she always has a smile on her face.

    It's amazing how much Whataburger has gone down hill since they went public. Prices are up, quality is down, and the staff can't even get an order right. Paid for extra bacon and didn't get a single slice. Food was cold before it was even handed out the drive through window. What a waste of a good chain. Guess P. Terry's is getting my business from now on.

    Went through the drive thru and got a spicy chicken sandwich meal with onion rings. Onion rings were brown/black like they had been fried in some bad oil. Same with the spicy chicken. Looked black almost and when biting into it, it tasted like a foot. So bad I couldn’t even eat it at all. Spat it out. Said there’s nothing we could do other than go back for refund or get a remake. We live 3 hours away so can’t until a month from now. Awful…

    The service here is terrible! I wish the employees cared enough to treat their customers well. We had to express to the employees our order numerous times and they still got it wrong. One of the employees had an airpod in ARE YOU KIDDING. This is unacceptable. They were also extremely slow. Overall do not come here unless you are desperate for food.

    I went in and ordered a patty melt meal, and the lady taking my order was friendly. The food, on the other hand, was cold and tasted like the patties had been sitting around for a while! I am highly disappointed in the quality of my meal for the price I paid for it!! Usually, the service and food here are great, NOT THIS TIME!!

    They were very nice but I can’t with this sandwich + the waiting time. Just drive to the one in Kyle. The onion rings were stale and that’s really what I was looking forward to, the food was just not it.

    We had an A+ experience when we visited this Whataburger location. The phenomenal staff made our visit an excellent experience. Our order was prepared well with no mistakes. The burgers were good and the onion rings were crunchy, yummy, and exceptional. I can say it's probably the quickest Whataburger drive-thru we have been to. I highly recommend a visit at this location if you're craving some Whataburger and/or fast food. Terrific customer service, prompt food delivery, and great food!

    Burger was made to order (drive thru), but the young man taking the order today around 630 or so....overcharged me. I ordered the meal; then he asked what kind of drink and I answered; then I said that I would like to have onion rings instead of fries.... at no time did I say I wanted a large order. This is not the first time. So, now I'm here to just say if you can please pay close attention to the customer ordering. I didn't want to hold up the line or have them fix it because the wait was little long to begin with and that I understand. Although the young man who took the order was nice and friendly... the young lady who handed me my food and drink didn't look happy.... maybe she was already having a bad day. PEACE.

    First time at this location. Food was good as usual and it was brought quickly to the curbside pickup. The issue we had is like we've had with some others - they didn't put in the ketchup we requested and they didn't put in any napkins. I had to go inside and get the missing items. Seems like a training issue. They need a way to provide feedback for orders placed using their app.

    I love whataburger but this one did not do well. There were two drive thru lanes, we were in the outer lane, the inner lane was given priority and moved quickly our lane did not. By the time I got my food it was cold and the fries were way too salty.

    Hate to complain about a Whataburger because it’s my favorite but think before you go now! I ordered delivery and idk if the delivery person is trying to get Whataburger in trouble or someone from Whataburger was trying to get the delivery person in trouble but WHY IS A CHUNK OF THE PATTY MISSING?!?     So whenever we're here in San Marcos, we end up grabbing breakfast or lunch here. Something fast we can take to the river. Look, the food was good. But just be sure to check your order before you leave the drive through window. We didn't receive any straws for our drinks. Not a huge deal, but hey, straws are literally right there at the drive through window for the person working it to give out with drinks. Not a tough thing to remember to give customers....in the drive-through. Anyway, it's a first world problem, but just a heads-up.

    Was okay. Not terrible but not great. My card was charged twice for my meal and the person behind me. The girl working lane B handed me the customers behind me debit card and was about to walk off with mine. I ordered two large drinks and they made one small had to correct that, I asked for regular ranch they gave me jalapeno ranch , asked for extra patty melt sauce on the burgers they came out dry af. No ketchup , no napkins , have to wait 5-7 days to get refunded for the other charge. Manager was quick to help , but all in all too many eff ups to give any more than 3 stars. Hopefully they have better days 🤞

    Have been to this location a few times since moving to San Marcos. Food is usually good and service is fast. Typically I order a patty melt meal with grilled jalapeños, and it seems like most of the time the onions and jalapeños are undercooked, like they end up on the grill for 30 seconds or so.

    I love Whataburger, but what in God's name is the point of having us order online, pre-pay online, make our food ahead of time, and STILL tell us we have to wait in the drive through line that goes out the street for 20 minutes just to hand the bag to us?     I just tried to call in and order for 3 dozen tacos at 5:00am, this was 3 fire departments working a structure fire. They absolutely refused to take the order over the phone, said I had to use the app, I had no service to place online. The young man on the phone said he could not take that large of an order because I might not show up to pay for it!!! So you just lost our business, but don’t worry about those 18 firefighters, I went to another place and got tacos and they are now happy. Thanks for nothing Whataburger!

    Just got an order from here and let me just say props to the staff. Doing an amazing job despite the never ending drive thru line. There was a manager running around making sure everyone got their orders on time. Didn't get the name sadly, but he was wearing glasses and a red vest i believe. Keep it up guys! You are very much under appreciated and deserve lots of praise!
