Were guests here at Valida for the second time, it's almost like visiting family, we were warmly welcomed ❤️ Very nice, modern, spacious rooms, breakfast leaves nothing to be desired! We were able to park our motorcycles in a locked garage. The location is also perfect, approx. 300 meters to Sarajevo Old Town but no noise pollution in the room! This accommodation is highly recommended for a visit to Sarajevo! We will stay there again when we are in Sarajevo again, already looking forward to it! Greetings from Austria Claudia & Wolfgang

We stayed in Halvat quite a few years back. It was a very comfortable and pleasant experience. Elegantly decorated, very clean and well maintained with nice attention to detail. Customer service second to none. Location great. Would highly recommend it!

The Halvat Guest House is really a very nice accommodation to stay. The hostess Valida and host Mumo are very welcoming and friendly. Everything is taken care of down to the last detail. The room we had was very spacious and very clean. We stayed there with our family of 5 with three children. A crib for the baby was arranged, there was a fridge and television in the bedroom and the WiFi was good everywhere. Just like in a hotel, everyday the rooms were cleaned and fresh towels were laid out. The breakfast at the guesthouse is very extensive and you can tell the host what kind of breakfast you would like to eat. From fried eggs to pancakes and roasted vegetables and fresh fruits everything is possible. In addition, we had many pleasant conversations with the hostess and she gave us many good travel tips. Also she helped us out with practical things and when one of us got very sick and needed help from a doctor. The location of the guesthouse is also great. In less than 5 minutes walking distance you are in the middle of the city in Bascarsia. We could park the car in front of the door of the guesthouse so that was also super nice. With tears in our eyes we said goodbye to the host, who became a part of our family. We felt so safe and welcome and we hope to be able to visit Bosnia agian next year and stay at the Halvat Guesthouse again. Evsen Family

My friend and I had travelled through Croatia and Bosnia and were looking forward to a few days in Sarajevo to end our trip. Halvat Guesthouse is perfectly located on a quiet street in the beautiful Stari Grad of the city, nestled in the bottom of the hills that stretch around the eastern end of Sarajevo. Close to a taxi rank, tram line and the airport bus from the City Hall, the guesthouse has obviously had a lot of love put into it by Valida and her husband, who welcomed us on our arrival. Valida was especially helpful with suggestions of where to go for food and drink, and very fun and welcoming. Would definitely stay again on my return to Sarajevo.

Very kind and helpful hosts. Picked me up and dropped me off at the airport and Valida even showed me a bit around the old town. Was traveling solo and felt very safe. Room is clean and cozy. Didn't get to enjoy the breakfast as it was low season (April) and it was not being offered at the time (plenty of breakfast options in the city). Hard working people who deserve to succeed in their business.

Don’t hesitate - stay here! Excellent value and a home away from home. Everything you could want - clean, comfortable, very close to the centre. Extremely warm and friendly hosts, Valida and her husband, who are on hand to help with any questions you have and to provide the best introduction to Sarajevo. We only stayed a couple of nights but wished we could have stayed longer - thanks for a great stay! :)

We really liked the place. The rooms were good, breakfast was tasty, and above all the staff was extremely helpful and friendly, and that helped us a lot enjoying Sarajevo. We would definitely go back there if we ever visit Sarajevo again.

Valida and nina were so helpful and nice. Conversation + hospitality we're over the top. The location near the old Town is ideal. Breakfast was solid, I love how these hotels all cook eggs to order. I'm not a big fan of any unfiltered coffee, but they have espresso if you ask!

I stayed at the Halvat accommodation with my wife and a small dog, and we were extremely satisfied. The location is close to Baščaršija, making it perfect for exploring Sarajevo. The room was exceptionally clean, and the breakfast was diverse and tasty. Special praise goes to Mrs. Valida, not just for her culinary skills but also for her excellent recommendations on what to visit and where to try traditional Bosnian specialties. I highly recommend this place for an authentic Sarajevo experience!

I can't say enough good things about this place. I loved everything about it. This is the best place I have stayed at. Please, if you're in Sarajevo, stay here. You will love it so much.

It is a relaxing guesthouse which is cared for with the same warmth and attention to detail as the guests. It is within walking distance of the old town and other areas of interest. The owners are beautiful people and my husband and I can't wait to go back!

I stayed at this hotel two years ago, and I still remember fondly my time there. It was one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at, run by wonderful and extremely helpful people. Breakfast was always a highlight. I very much look forward to visiting Sarajevo again and this hotel will definitely be at the top of my list.

Stayed here last year in February-March and it was excellent. Host was lovely and full of fun stories, great location near the Old Town and the yellow Fort panoramic viewpoint of the city. I spent 3 wonderful days in the Halvat guest house. Superb location, great rooms, excellent breakfast but above all Valida is a great host who indeed makes you feel at home away from home. 100% recommended. Pascal
