Absolutely amazing! The presentation, the quantity , the quality. Ordered the three course dinner(Home delivery) - 10oz Angus Steak, Fried Calamari with Chipotle Aoli and Bourbon Cheesecake. The steak was perfectly cooked to a medium rare, even the vegetables were delicious! Never have I actually wanted to eat my vegetables 😄 The calamari was firm and crisp as they should be. The cheesecake a delightful end to this perfect meal.

Update - April 25th I visited for dinner. We had the fried calamari, steak and lobster special and Seafood medley. The seafood was fresh and the service was great. The server even made us a drink not on menu. I increased your rating to 5 star. You did a great job. I will be back for more! A hidden gem in Scarborough. We ordered the brunch combo platter and the eggs nova. The plates were great portions, good prices and nice service. I would like to go back to try lunch and dinner options too.

Ok so maybe it’s because I ordered at night time but I got the crab tail, it was two measly cold and I mean cold pieces of crab which ok whatever it’s 9pm and I’m getting crab. The real kicker is the cheesecake was FROZEN clearly store bought as I also found some of the paper that separates the pieces in the cheesecake. I’m really sad cause I can buy cheesecake from no frills too why on earth would anyone pay for that. In the pic with the fork I am pushing down on it won’t even go though, shame.

We were SO impressed with our delivery order from ViPei Bistro tonight! We’re not really dining out during the pandemic and find that the majority of delivery orders from other restaurants come poorly packaged and a bit lacklustre in presentation. Not the case with ViPei! The value was absolutely incredible, the food looked beautiful, and everything tasted delicious and so fresh. I couldn’t get over the amazing selection of vegetables that came with the Wild Mushroom Chicken... just so so good. We will definitely be ordering from ViPei in the future and going there for dinner once this Covid-19 pandemic is behind us.

*UPDATED* Not sure what happened to this place but it's gone the other way. If you can't handle an order and 8:45 pm stop taking them please. My pasta isn't even the right pasta and the pizza I got was a mess, I'll post a picture (half of the pizza has no toppings and uncooked). I think I've given this place enough of my money and chances. Plus these guys in the back with no hair nets with long hair.

First time going to this place. Went for brunch to try a new restaurant. The service and food were very good. Will definitely return. They have Prix Fix Monday to Friday with very reasonable prices

If you are looking for food that is FILLING and DELICIOUS, LOOK NO FURTHER!! Vipei has become a regular go to spot that has absolutely stolen my heart and stomach. I am still working through the menu but their breakfast, pastas and even their salads are so damn amazing. The best part is they even have breakfast specials, it is breakfast w a twist at great prices. If you're ever in the area- definitely worth the stop!!

(I wish I got the hostesses name because she was great). We were greeted at the door and was able to choose where we sat. Our order was taken very promptly and the food arrived in no time! Very fresh! Small restaurant with a very cozy setting. I ordered Eggs Nova (salmon Benedict) and my mom ordered the brunch combo platter. Most reasonably priced breakfast I’ve had in a LONG time and a great Bennnnny! I finished everything and it was so much foood! My mom and I will be back very soon. Thank you again. :)

Ordered through door dash. We had the wild mushroom chicken, Vegetable lasagna and bruchetta. Chicken dish was nice and the sauce was amazing but they don't give alot and no option to request more. Veggie lasagna was lacked with veggies and topped with cheese but had hardly any sauce on it.bruchetta was tasty but expect a thin base that got soggy in delivery container because wet lettuce was at the bottom. Overall the food is very good but needs a more sauce option.

Awesome food, as always. I got the chocolate bourbon cheesecake and I would love the recipe. So light and fluffy which cheesecake usually is not. Ordered through skipthedishes to realize that we could just order online now. Will definitely do that next time.

For starters, the service was amazing and our waitress was friendly and lovely, so nothing with our meal was any fault of hers. My family has been coming to Vi Pei for quite some time and we have always loved it. I went for dinner with my parents and grandmother for a celebration. The calamari was good and quick to come out. Our mains took quite a while, about 25 mins. Prior to ordering my main, the “Sea Fruit Deluxe” I specifically asked if the coconut curry cream sauce was spicy at all, and the waitress said it wasn’t, it was sweeter and very mild. I trusted that and ordered it, believing it to be closer to a korma sauce. I do have some spice tolerance, but when this dish arrived I was immediately unable to eat it because it was too spicy. The waitress was lovely and offered to get me something else, but I didn’t want another lengthy wait for a main dish. My mother and I switched plates, and she had a pasta dish that was honestly quite bland itself. I had a few bites, but not much more. The scallops were over cooked. The dish advertised smoked salmon but it came with cooked chunks of salmon which were very fishy tasting. It was okay, but not great like I remember it. The mussels in both my dish and my grandmothers dish were extremely salty for some reason. Overall, I was just really disappointed. This restaurant used to be amazing, such a great little restaurant with delicious food for a good price. It’s sad to see it’s gone downhill. I wouldn’t go back, at least not for dinner.

Started going here years ago! Recently the food hasn’t been tasting good. So much so that my boyfriend and I wonder why we still go here. The bread is always delicious. Pastas and apps have decreased in quality.

Normally we go here for breakfast and have never been disappointed. Our dinner experience was not as good. Tried the $25 prix-fixe menu. My companion's pasta in a curry sauce was good, my 8oz steak, not so much. Too thin, too much gristle. Took our two desserts home, and while tasty, we were disappointed with the miniscule size. Will be back but probably just for breakfast.

Love this local gem. Dine in experience is always friendly and tasty. Delivery through the various apps definitely needs improvement. Food is not packaged well. But no issues when dining in.

I was impressed by the level of quality and presentation, considering neighborhood restos offer greasy spoon familiarity at best. ViPei has a varied menu with delicious sauces. Try the pesto dish!

We have been regular customers of Vi Pei for many years. And for good reason. Whether it's for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, we have never been let down. It's delicious food at a fair price offered with great service. We are looking forward to dining in the restaurant again as soon as it is permissible. For now, we're satisfied with ordering online curb-side pickup. Highly recommended

The food and service here is wonderful. Have been going for years and so happy to see them still around. The Grand Marnier Infused French toast is fabulous as well as the pastas.

Went for breakfast with my parents today. Friends have raved about this place, finally had an opportunity to check it out. So good! Potato pancake, crab cake, eggs Bennie, fresh fruit salad, and salad! Price is a higher than a diner, but it isn’t a diner, so it’s to be expected. So good! Also, half decent coffee :)

When all is said and done, it was a pretty good meal. I don't remember the exact name of what I ordered, but I ordered something not traditionally what I'd order from an Italian restaurant: it was a chicken breast with mushroom, potato and other vegetables. I'd have liked more than one mushroom considering the name of the item but overall the good was good!

Recently discovered this cozy brunch spot by chance while driving by and decided to stop in. While we did have to wait a bit after placing the order, but the delicious food and friendly staff more than made up for it.

Been here a couple of times over the years. Always quiet. On the plus side, they don't rush you out, food is decent, as are the prices. Asked for bacon and eggs with brown toast. Got sausages and eggs with white toast. No possibility of mixing up orders cuz I was the only one there at the time. So they just need to listen and retain things better...

Occasionally we order in with a delivery service. The food is always well prepared, tasty, and arrives promptly. Never been disappointed and would definitely order form there again.

The staff was extremely rude. We arrived only to be told (with out any apologetic tone) that there was a long wait and we were basically turned away. There is one server that served us on our last visit, I do not know her name, she was a kind and caring server who has the customer service principles and attitude to support ViPei’s high price points. This older women was miserable the last time and even more so on this particular visit. She definitely needs additional training on how to treat customers! The food that we ordered for the most part was ok, but my omelette that was not good. It was very wet and soggy. Thankfully, that same kind server replaced it and handled things correctly. The place is very small and does not accommodate very many people, with this in mind, one would think that the staff would be prepared to handle overflow with more poise and professionalism. Very disappointing! Side note: there is limited parking, limited eating space, not wheelchair accessible, and nowhere to be seated when there is a busy overflow.

I have had breakfast here several times and it has always been a delicious treat. Moist brioche French toast with peach-pecan caramel topping is my favorite. Breakfast is anything but average. Cost is $14-16. Seating works best for groups of four but of couse you can go with a larger group.

Ordered salmon and pasta, mushroom fettuccine with chicken breast. The portions were nice and large, lots of veggies, great sauce and salmon was cooked nicely. My order was through Uber eat but I have eaten at restaurant and it wad just as consistently good. Would order again.

Took my sister-in-law there for a birthday brunch since she lives in the area. The menu is intrigiing in the wide variety of selection but we were there for her favourite....eggs benedict. Two eggs perfectly poached on a litely toasted englih muffin with pealmeal bacon and sumptous hollandaise sauce...doesn't get any better. But need to come back to try some of the other more luncheon type selecetions...looking forward to it

Great place. Food was tasty and nice portions. Some "on the fly" custom seating easily accommodated our group and the result was a comfortable and cozy experience. I have saved the location in my GPS and plan to return again. Thanks to staff for a nice dining luncheon! :)

I have been going here for years. we sat down. My husband ordered a coffee like he always does before he has his meal and I had a water it took 20 minutes for us to get the coffee and the water. When she brought my water. The cup was dirty with little Floaties floating around on top, so I did not bother to drink it. When we received our dinner, chicken, Parmesan was cold and no flavor. We asked for some bread and she gave us a basket of stale bread. It was an overall bad experience. Usually we go in and we have a fantastic waitress.Waitress did not know what she was doing. The waitress can make or break your night. Also, there were only two other tables occupied at this time. Very disappointed. I’ve been going for 15 years.

Very clean and convenient place. They provide generous portions and for inexpensive rates. I liked the food a lot and the waiters were super friendly and chatty. Will definitely recommend this place.

AMAZING FOOD!!! The wide variety of roasted vegetables included with the Lamb Dinner tonight (xmas eve) were incredible & tasty! The Lamb "lollipops" (chops) were so tender, and accompanying sauce was flavourful. The Tri-Colour Tortellini was absolutely delicious -with a fantastic sauce. Ordered takeout from them for the first time last night. There was a small hiccup with the delivery, but once they were aware of the issue it was corrected and fresh, piping hot food in about 20 minutes. Customer service is top notch and the food was as well. Highly recommend!!
